About Me

I am saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. I believe Jesus paid the price for my sins on the cross. I believe He died for the remission of sins and rose again conquering the grave on the 3rd day after His death. I became a Believer when I was 7 years old and was baptized at 9. I love the Lord and love to tell others of His goodness. I love to encourage others and speak the truth especially as relating to God’s Word.

I am blessed by God to be married to the most beautiful, godly, fun, intelligent woman in the world.

I believe Scripture is most important when having any serious discussion. I was looking for a community to discuss pertinent issues and found WCF on Google.

I hope WCF is a place where you will grow in knowledge of God, seek to deepen your relationship with God through Jesus Christ, and find fellowship with others.

When discussing things here or anywhere consider this question: Is what your discussing or talking about a Biblical Truth, Personal Conviction, or Personal Preference?

Some of my favorite quotes include:

"Your theological convictions are not too strong but too weak if you can't be friends with someone whose convictions are different from yours." - Tullian Tchividjian

"Spend time fretting about all the problems of sin and worldliness, and you may become just as sinful and worldly as those things. Spend time focusing on Jesus and all His goodness, grace, and love, and you’ll start to become like Him. Maybe without even knowing it."
-Eric Pazdziora

"We must not seek to bind the consciences of other Believers with the private convictions that arise out of our personal walk with God. Even if you believe God has led you in developing those convictions, you still must not elevate them to the level of spiritual principles for everyone else to follow." - Jerry Bridges

"Theological rightness manifests itself first and foremost in love, not in "being right." ~ Tullian Tchividjian

"Can I value what you have to say even if it isn't something I agree with or understand? If not, then I will begin a process of judgements and punishments that send messages of invalidation. Many of us don't realize that we create a world where everyone has to look and sound like us or we have no value for them. Before I know it I've surrounded myself with myself in order to get along with others." - Danny Lee Silk

There are five fundamentals of the faith which are essential for Christianity, and upon which we agree:

1. The Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:1; John 20:28; Hebrews 1:8-9).
2. The Virgin Birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:27).
3. The Blood Atonement (Acts 20:28; Romans 3:25, 5:9; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 9:12-14).
4. The Bodily Resurrection (Luke 24:36-46; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, 15:14-15).
5. The inerrancy of the scriptures themselves (Psalms 12:6-7; Romans 15:4; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20).

And those who disagree with any of the above 5 doctrines need to re-consider their walk with Jesus Christ.

*Let us remember humility, as Believers we are heirs of God with Christ. (Phil. 2:3; 1 Pet. 5:5, Rom. 8:17) Are we esteeming others as better than ourselves, clothing ourselves in humility, and realizing fellow believers are joint heirs with Christ?

*We are to speak graciously and seasoned with salt so that we might know how to answer people we come across. (Col. 4:6) Are we being gracious with our words?

*Remember we as Christians are to seek restoration with a spirit of gentleness. (Gal. 6:1) Are we being gentle with your words?

*We as Christians are to be kind and tenderhearted to one another. (Eph. 4:32) Are we being kind with your words?

*We as Christians are also all WIPs (God's work in progress) and God is at work in our lives until the return of Jesus Christ. (Phil. 1:6) Are we treating others as WIP’s, allowing time/room for them to grow, and pointing them to Jesus Christ?
