  1. Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God Bless Steve!!!
  2. Perhaps when listing a group of men as ungodly, saying you did not say they were the article did ... does not quite solve anything in this thread... maybe you could ( if you agree with the blogger) provide a list of quotes and sources where the accused in the list have said and promoted such teachings. Otherwise I don't see how this thread can be viewed or discussed as anything other than a witch hunt. If one wants to discuss the scriptures involved in the false teaching...pros and cons please ...continue. Otherwise, I do not see anything in this thread that is edifying whatsoever. God Bless, Hip
  3. Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Rom 1:17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, "The just shall live by faith." God's Wrath on Unrighteousness Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, Rom 1:19 because the thing which may be known of God is clearly revealed within them, for God revealed it to them. Rom 1:20 For the unseen things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being realized by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, for them to be without excuse. Rom 1:21 Because, knowing God, they did not glorify Him as God, neither were thankful. But they became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Rom 1:22 Professing to be wise, they became fools Rom 1:23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man, and birds, and four-footed animals, and creeping things. Rom 1:24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves. Rom 1:25 For they changed the truth of God into a lie, and they worshiped and served the created thing more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
  4. Amen Appy!, Joh 21:21 Seeing him, Peter said to Jesus, Lord, and what of this one? Joh 21:22 Jesus said to him, If I desire that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me. Joh 21:23 Then this saying went abroad among the brothers, that that disciple should not die. Yet Jesus did not say to him, He shall not die, but, If I desire that he remain until I come, what is that to you? Do as we are to do in following Christ, what someone else is going to face is between them and God... we are to do His will and not worry about the rest. God Bless, Hip
  5. Definitely a 71 Torino -more than likely has a 460 with that shaker style hood. It as the Pontiac LeMans had similar body styles with the Chevelle of that period. If you were to set it next to a Camaro it would be considerably larger. 70-1/2 Camaros and up totally changed body styles.
  6. It's also currently available on Netflix .... watched it several times it was so good.
  7. So far all of his posts are copies of his posts from over a year ago on another site....
  8. I suggest before this goes any further to consider this - if someone disagrees with your views on scripture you have one choice - defend it and show the error of their view or accept that you could be wrong. It is NOT a PERSONAL ATTACK if someone disagrees with you. That being said "God bless and please continue" God Bless, Hip
  9. 1Co 13:1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 1Co 13:2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 1Co 13:3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. 1Co 13:4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 1Co 13:5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 1Co 13:6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
  10. Regardless of how we may view things, others may not see things as we do. It's up to us here to teach and learn, help others and provide truth. Telling someone their post is nuts, is not Christian of us nor does it encourage someone to see things differently. God Bless, Hip
  11. That is indeed the case, let's please not try to make veiled insults in an attempt to think we are staying inside the rules. God Bless, Hip
  12. If thorns and thistles are brought forth..then they were not there before...
  13. I am curious as to where you think that I don't practice this.
  14. I think maybe we should ask ourselves....."Am I pushing buttons?....What is the Christian approach I should have on the forums?" Twelve Ways to Humble Yourself- Chismar 2009 Routinely confess your sin to God (Luke 18:9-14). All of us sin and fall short of the glory of God. However, too few of us have a routine practice of rigorous self-honesty examination. Weekly, even daily, review of our hearts and behaviors, coupled with confession to God, is an essential practice of humility. Acknowledge your sin to others (James 3:2, James 5:16). Humility before God is not complete unless there is also humility before man. A true test of our willingness to humble ourselves is willingness to share with others the weaknesses we confess to God. Wisdom, however, dictates that we do so with others that we trust. Take wrong patiently (1 Peter 3:8-17). When something is unjust we want to react and rectify it. However, patiently responding to the unjust accusations and actions of others demonstrates our strength of godly character and provides an opportunity to put on humility. Actively submit to authority…the good and the bad (1 Peter 2:18). Our culture does not value submission; rather it promotes individualism. How purposely and actively do you work on submission to those whom God has placed as authorities in your life? Doing so is a good way to humble yourself. Receive correction and feedback from others graciously (Proverbs 10:17, 12:1). In the Phoenix area, a local East valley pastor was noted for graciously receiving any negative feedback or correction offered. He would simply say “thank you for caring enough to share that with me, I will pray about it and get back to you.” Look for the kernel of truth in what people offer you, even if it comes from a dubious source. Always pray, “Lord, what are you trying to show me through this?” Accept a lowly place (Proverbs 25:6,7). If you find yourself wanting to sit at the head table, wanting others to recognize your contribution or become offended when others are honored or chosen, then pride is present. Purpose to support others being recognized, rather than you. Accept and look for the lowly place; it is the place of humility. Purposely associate with people of lower state than you (Luke 7:36-39). Jesus was derided by the Pharisees for socializing with the poor and those of lowly state. Our culture is very status conscious and people naturally want to socialize upward. Resist the temptation of being partial to those with status or wealth. Choose to serve others (Philippians 1:1, 2 Corinthians 4:5, Matthew 23:11). When we serve others, we are serving God’s purposes in their lives. Doing so reduces our focus on ourselves and builds the Kingdom of God. When serving another costs us nothing, we should question whether it is really servanthood. Be quick to forgive (Matthew 18: 21-35). Forgiveness is possibly one of the greatest acts of humility we can do. To forgive is to acknowledge a wrong that has been done us and also to further release our right of repayment for the wrong. Forgiveness is denial of self. Forgiveness is not insisting on our way and our justice. Cultivate a grateful heart (1 Thessalonians 5:18). The more we develop an attitude of gratitude for the gift of salvation and life He has given us, the more true our perspective of self. A grateful heart is a humble heart. Purpose to speak well of others (Ephesians 4:31-32). Saying negative things about others puts them “one down” and us “one up.” Speaking well of others edifies them and builds them up. Make sure, however, that what you say is not intended as flattery. Treat pride as a condition that always necessitates embracing the cross (Luke 9:23). It is our nature to be proud and it is God’s nature in us that brings humility. Committing to a lifestyle of daily dying to ourselves and living through Him is the foundation for true humility. God Bless..Hip
  15. I think we tend to forget Genesis - once the fall happened with Adam and Eve... and the Devil's fall to Earth as it were. This domain changed... thorns on roses and the like. I think the most simple answer is - God creates - Satan perverts what God has created because Satan himself cannot create.
  16. Invocation of Mary Not only do we honor Mary; we also invoke her or ask her intercession. Some objectors say that we should pray to God alone. Well, Catholics certainly pray directly to God, for they regard the Our Father as the best and most beautiful of all prayers and frequently recite it. But they pray also to Mary, asking her to intercede for them with her divine Son source: http://www.catholic.com/magazine/articles/devotion-to-the-blessed-virgin They start the article saying they don't ... but the article then goes on to illustrate how they "do" and call it other things. It's always been the same rhetoric ...venerable image... honor etc., but in the end they still pray to Mary and the Saints - whether it be for intercession or worship it's NOT praying to God thru Christ for intercession...which by any turn still means praying to someone other than Christ for intercession to God is not only blasphemous...but idolatry. Clark: Luke 1:48 He hath regarded - Looked favorably, etc., επεβλεψεν. In the most tender and compassionate manner he has visited me in my humiliation, drawing the reasons of his conduct, not from any excellence in me, but from his own eternal kindness and love. All generations shall call me blessed - This was the character by which alone she wished to be known; viz. The blessed or happy virgin. What dishonor do those do to this holy woman, who give her names and characters which her pure soul would abhor; and which properly belong to God her Savior! By her votaries she is addressed as Queen of Heaven, Mother of God, etc., titles both absurd and blasphemous. Barnes: Luke 1:48 He hath regarded the low estate of his handmaid - Literally, he has looked upon the low or humble condition of his handmaid. That is, notwithstanding her humble rank and poverty, he has shown her favor. And this example abundantly teaches what is elsewhere fully taught in the Bible, that God is not a respecter of persons; that he is not influenced, in conferring favors, by wealth, honor, or office, Rom_2:11; Rom_10:11-12. He seeks the humble and the contrite; he imparts his rich blessings to those who feel that they need them, and who will bless him for them, Psa_138:6; Isa_57:15. From henceforth - Hereafter, or in consequence of this. All generations - All people. All posterity. Call me blessed - Pronounce me highly favored or happy in being the mother of the Messiah. It is therefore right to consider her as highly favored or happy; but this certainly does not warrant us to worship her or to pray to her. Abraham was blessed in being the father of the faithful; Paul in being the apostle to the Gentiles; Peter in first preaching the gospel to them; but who would think of worshipping or praying to Abraham, Paul, or Peter? God Bless, Hip
  17. I also would like to see sources...as I agree with Nebula... How can brothers be from separate tribes? God Bless, Hip
  18. Let's please put the topic back into discussion. There are other threads about OSAS if you wish to continue there God Bless, Hip
  19. Christ actually did feed multitudes... God has blessed man with the full capability to feed all the starving on the Earth. We have all the resources...manpower..land needed to do so. The fault lies in man..not in God. Expecting God to fix things for our failures constantly makes him a genie... not God. The sin in ourselves is the issue, not God. God Bless Hip
  20. Let's please be careful of making false teacher claims... last time I checked there was no absolute undeniable argument for either side of this age old debate. Believing when the rapture will take place is not determining someones Salvation...so let's please not make it into something more than it is.... the rapture at any point is HOPE - God Bless, Hip
  21. Locked - The reason this thread is locked - "When you are right ...and go about it the wrong way ....YOU are wrong" - to again have to make a point of this with the same people ... while you have the ability and the knowledge to have an extremely educational ...and good discussion, you have turned it into a board full of clanging cymbals. We have repeatedly publicly and privately asked for this type of behavior to stop. Being right in your theology does not give one person here the right to put themselves over another and speak to them like they are incapable of having a loving , decent discussion. While this thread ( and others involving you guys and gals) contains a great deal of good information...it's TOTALLY DEVOID OF ANY LOVE.... I am sure myself and the other moderators don't have to point fingers at people and name names.... this is the last warning on the subject of speaking as gentle as a dove to others I want to give the same group of people. The next action is time off / or permanent time off. Please consider how you type things out when debating/discussing items on the boards.... ALL OF US HAVE THE ABILITY TO PROOF READ....WAIT TO HIT ENTER.... PRAY ABOUT IT.... EVEN WAIT 24HOURS BEFORE RESPONDING....whatever it takes to control ourselves... Please and thank you... God Bless, Hip
  22. Please.... ALL INVOLVED - steer this back to topic. If you three cannot speak to each other ... part ways, and don't respond to each others posts... discord is one thing...disagreeing in one thing...but this is spreading all over the boards and it's time to change the behavior...change company with each other ... or change venues. God Bless, Hip
