  1. All that is kinda up to God. Saved by Faith not by works. If it is possible to get baptized then do it in obedience. If a person calls upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ in the final moments of their life,,, I would say speaking for myself they are saved but that is certainly not my call to make away. I am not the Harvester! Like way above my pay grade to make a call like that anyway. If I got the opportunity to share with them in the last moments of their life about Jesus Christ and in their last breath they called out to Jesus to save them. I believe all the angels would be rejoicing! Jude22kjv
  2. They claim the Book of Mormon is simply an extension of the Bible - another testament of Jesus Christ. Here's a good place for information: http://www.lifeafter...n_neighbors.asp Actually from what I have been told they recognize the Book of Mormons, that black book that looks like a bible on my wife's sister in law's coffee table, to be more of the truth , a higher religious status than we do the "Bible". They believe some really bazzare notions that are not even in the Bible. jude22kjv
  3. Both of my grand daughters will go set in Santa's lap and get their picture taken. The oldest is 8 and the youngest just turned 3. They are going to get gifts under the tree Christmas morning. The little one stayed with us this weekend and I heard her when she was asked about Christmas while she was busy playing, "Oh that is Jesus' birthday!" and went back to what she was doing. Santa and strangers kinda weirds her out besides even though they have a great fireplace , chimney for Santa to come down. They also have a pitbull named Diesel that Santa might not want to encounter in the middle of the night that lives in the house. I think most kids are smarter than the parents give them credit for even the little ones. Even back in the day when I was a kid I figured out unless Santa has a front door key he is not getting his self through that tiny hole in the chimney. Besides if Santa knew if I was good or bad , he should also know my step father kept a 12 gauge shotgun behind his bedroom door that was always loaded 5 shells automatic with the plug out for a reason. He would shoot intruders. Santa weighed too much and the floors squeeked he would not have a chance . I personally think we should tell kids Christmas is about Jesus' birth. The gift giving started with the greatest gift that was ever given to all humanity God gave us His Son to save whomever would believe from their sins. God gave because God is love and God loved us. They gets gifts to our kids and loved ones because they are loved as well. God Bless you all, Have a wonderful Christmas, jude22kjv
  4. I use the Biblegateway on my pc but keep the Bible I am reading through by my chair ( Pa's Chair ) in the living room. I use to read and study early in the mornings when everything is very quite. There was a time when I kept my Bible on the nightstand by the bed and I would read before bed time.I would read at times at work at break times and always would say "This keeps me sain!" It was and still is a calming to my spirit I need everyday. I used to think and believe I needed to read everyday to the point my speaking was like the KJV thees and thous in my normal speaking to anyone. There was a point I was trying too hard to let's say make up for time lost that I didn't read or even open a Bible at all.I have since realized I can not make that up to God, but to just take what He has showed me through His word and put it into practice everyday, with God's help. I used a few comentaries but for the most part when I got to something that was really unclear to me I would just simply stop and ask God to help me understand and catch the meaning of what I was reading. Then go back and read whatever it might be several times and listen to that still small voice. Certainly I am as knowledgeable of the Bible as some,, sometimes God puts people at that point to answer those questions that ponder our minds. Whatever feels more comfortable to your own situation, ask God in those guidance areas,, I know I was surprised. God Bless you Brother, jude22kjv
  5. My Father lost his life as a lineman working on power lines back in 1962 for our local electric company. I was 4 at the time. I really just remember him by the memorys of those that really knew him., the storys they told me. I think about him a lot even now as I am over double the age he made it too. It is like I miss someone I never really got to know or at least can't remember, other than the storys his friends share with me. They miss him as well. After much thought, and trying to figure this out in my own situation I came to this conclusion on the facts I know about him and from what I am a firm beliver in of what the Bible tells us. 1. I believe he was a true beliver in Christ Jesus before and at the time of his physical death 2. I believe my father is in heaven at this very moment for the rest of all eternity. 3. I don't believe his death was just an accident but rather at that very instant in time he lost his physical life, God was usuring Him to his final destination,"Heaven". 4. I do believe that my father's physical life ended at the exact moment that God had predestined for him, possibly before this world we live in was even spoke into existance. 5, Finally, I believe we possibly don't ever stop missing them, but in time we, with God's help, get through it. learn to deal with it better, cry out to God on a more regular basis, realize they have just gone on to a much better place where we will meet them again someday. Then God reminds us we are not the only one that is missing that very specail person that was near and dear to our hearts, and we are not alone in this either. God places other people exactly in your path to help you down a road you are unfamiliar with,, having a hard time navigating.. He ( God) is always just a whisper away! One of my favorite verses, I remind myself with is, Johua 1 verse 9 Have I not commended thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Another really cool thing when speaking about God's promises,,,, Hebrews 6 verse 18 tells us all it is impossible for God to lie. Oh ,, and we must remember Jesus Himself makes intercession for us 24/7,,, like all the time! jude22kjv
  6. I think it is a sad day when with the shape this world is in this very day someone would throw a wrench in the way most of us have been thought over the years "Biblically". Put yourself on the outside looking in and look at just what is being said in here. Like, " Hey Maud these people can not agree on anything. You know woman I was thinking about we ought to go check out this Jesus person at one of those churches where they say they tell you about Him , cause I was just thinking there has got to be a better way than this old world. I sure do feel like this burden I carry is heavy, I know you do too. If we went there and they were as confused on this Jesus as this age of this planet stuff. I might leave more confused about Jesus than I am now. Maud replies, " Who cares how old the planet is anyway.I agree Henry there has got to be a better way than what we have been trying for all our lifes,, that Heaven place sure seems like it would be a great place to go someday. Maybe we'll make it there. I sure am going to my best,, hope we make it old man." And they return to doing as they have always done,, their best just to survive this life.Tottally missing out on the salvation that is only through Jesus Christ. (John 14 verse 6) Someone above here said they would just let Jesus explain that kind of stuff to us when we get to heaven. After all we will be there a long time. I agree! Someone once explained this to me in this way. My friend speaking to me: Do you believe God created everything just like the Bible tells us?' I say " Sure!" My friend,: So lets go to the part where God created Adam,, called him a man,,, formed a man's body out of the dust of the ground and breathed into it the breath of life. A the man became the first living person. Then went on to make a woman for a suitable companion. Notice it doesn't say God created a baby or babies. God created a "Man and a Woman". The age factor already built in so to speak. We all believe that,, agreed! So as God spoke everything else into existance right before God created Man and Woman. Agreed? I say "Sure!" My friend told me," Then is it so hard to believe that God when He spoke the planet Earth into existance,,, Is it so hard believe or understand God had an age factor already built in at that moment, that very second, the earth came to exist,, just like He did with "Man and Woman and all the other stuff that was created! I thought about it a second, Smiled and replied "Sure!" Let's do our very best to share Jesus with others the very best we can all the time. If someone ask you about carbon dating ancient bones and rocks, etc. Be honest with them and tell them , "We are going to ask God about that stuff,, It is over my understanding!" Sings softly, " Turn your eyes upon Jesus,, Look full in His wonderful face,,, and the things of this world will grow strangely dim,,, in the Light of His Glory and Grace!" God Bless you all, Jude22kjv
  7. No way! If God had wanted me embeded with a chip,, it would have already been there from the very beginning. Jude22kjv
  8. Hello I am quite new at this but the test was kind of cool. Good Questions for everyone if for nothing else to remind the test taker of opportunitys to improve. We can all stand improvement in our walk with Christ Jesus everyday. After all one of the things Christ Jesus accomplished while He walked here on Earth, that is not often discussed, is He "Set the Standard" we should all live by daily. Speaking for myself I know I am not even close , even on days that I might think I've done pretty good, "Not Even Close"! By the Grace of a merciful , wonderful , God I am saved through Faith in His Son Jesus Christ,, nothing more or nothing less on my part. Jude22kjv
  9. Personally don't like fire ,, over abundant heat ,,, nothing to drink ,,, total seperation not only from God's love , but a place where hope-less-ness and help-less-ness will be over whelming,, no where to go to get away from any of it either !!!! it will last forever Jude22kjv
