I wonder about prayers often. My vision of prayer sometimes is as if your putting a ticket in a bowl with million others prayer to be answered. A feeling sometimes a prayer will never be answered or not as important what other people are asking about. . I could ask God for something but doesn’t it make more sense to answer a prayer from a girl who is hungry? Sure. But then God remembers all those who call upon him. Something else I also wonder. Do you suppose that when we pray, does God allow demons to go against our prayers? If we want things to go right will these demons attack our efforts even which that we prayed to God to help us? Do you feel when we are failing in things that demons are much behind the cause of making things go wrong so we will just give up? And then we will say, well I guess God does not answer prayers. I guess I am on my own. Does then God want us to pray over and over again until God steps in to answer the prayer and to rebuke the demons to stay back from this answered prayer?. . Basically when we pray is there a spiritual battle taking place at the dime to defeat the purpose of what we ask Go?. . I just wonder sometimes because when you pray sometimes things just get worse than better. But in other cases things turned out ok. . it seems there is some kind of battle of testing. What do you think?

It seems that over the centuries the US was doing good for its country both domestically and internationally exports. The Missouri and Mississippi rivers helped us to be both an important importer and exporter of raw materials and other goods. While that may be true America was also a very domestic working class of people. Not only were many early American Christians but patriotic as well. . Things were made in America and sold in America. . America had a priority to value its work land and people. . We were inspired by a divine God of laws ethics and morals. . slavery however was a great mistake . . We do however thank the many African Americans who helped to build railroads, streets, construction, farms and all other places of hired workers. . The good aspect though is there were stores and factories owned mostly by American people and workers. People had a reason to wake up early in morning. . work would always be there never taken out of their hands only unless a better corporation came along. . we had glass . we used it. We had metal. We used it. We had oil we used it. We had coal we used it. America was a very successful nation. Things have changed though in the second half of the 20th century America began to have it work over seas. Thinking that it was better to import cheaper products also put many Americans out of work. . China now sells more things in America than what America makes itself. Who is the super power now? Remember China also deals with countries around the world. . the also buy their own domestic made things as well. . Is America now going to sink? Will China now be the new super power to lead all the nations for countries to depend on their helps of funds?. Will the US look like a poor farmer with his pockets hanging out with my money inside? Will the US be called a mediocre or low society class of people? Are we going to continue to be a country with most every ting made except from here? What do you think of this situation and do you think as citizens even if the government does not help us enough can we as businesses change this trend? Do you have any ideas to get us back on our feet?. . I want us to do more than just throwing our hands up saying its all over and done. God allows us to do right even if we have done wrong even for years. We can’t keep putting our people out of work. What can we do?

Monsanto Protection Act Signed By Obama, GMO Bill “Written By Monsanto” Signed Into Law The Monsanto Protection Act, essentially both written by and benefiting Monsanto Corporation, has been signed into law by United States President Barack Obama. The infamous Monsanto Corporation will benefit greatly and directly from the bill, as it essentially gives companies that deal with genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and genetically engineered (GE) seeds immunity to the federal courts, among other things. The bill states that even if future research shows that GMOs or GE seeds cause significant health problems, cancer, etc, anything, that the federal courts no longer have any power to stop their spread, use, or sales. There are of course arguments to be made that not enough research has been done yet to accurately determine the effects that GMOs have on human and animal health (though the research already done should make you stop and think). This bill sidesteps that completely though, and simply states that even if there are problems, that the federal courts can no longer do anything about it. And this bill is now law, thanks to President Obama and the U.S. Congress. Some other interesting things to keep in mind: - The bill was apparently written by freshman Sen. Roy Blunt in collusion with Monsanto, with them helping to craft the exact language of the document. - “The Center for Responsive Politics notes that Sen. Blunt received $64,250 from Monsanto to go towards his campaign committee between 2008 and 2012. The Money Monocle website adds that Blunt has been the largest Republican Party recipient of Monsanto funding as of late.” - Many members of Congress were apparently unaware that the “Monsanto Protection Act” was a part of the spending bill that they were voting on. - Obama had no problem signing it into law (not really a surprise, he’s been rather soft on GMO policy). - The bill will only remain in effect for a limited time, but it’s a bad sign. With the ease that this bill passed, it’ll be interesting to see what future bills look like. As the Daily News asks, “Who’s more powerful, the world’s largest producer of genetically modified crops or the U.S. government?” “On Tuesday, Pres. Obama inked his name to H.R. 933, a continuing resolution spending bill approved in Congress days earlier. Buried 78 pages within the bill exists a provision that grossly protects biotech corporations such as the Missouri-based Monsanto Company from litigation.” “In light of approval from the House and Senate, more than 250,000 people signed a petition asking the president to veto the spending bill over the biotech rider tacked on, an item that has since been widely referred to as the ‘Monsanto Protection Act.’” “But Obama ignored [the petition],” as the IB Times notes, “instead choosing to sign a bill that effectively bars federal courts from being able to halt the sale or planting of GMO or GE crops and seeds, no matter what health consequences from the consumption of these products may come to light in the future.” GMOs, while they may cause problems for human health, are primarily a problem for other reasons, mostly to do with crop/genetic diversity and overly complex industrial systems. And also the fact that they often don’t even work the way that they are “supposed” to. When taken in context though, GMOs are really just another in a long line of environmentally damaging practices that people have done for short term gain/profit. From the large-scale deforestation of the world’s old-growth forests, to sustenance farming, to modern imported-fertilizer/pesticide/herbicide/fossil-fuel dependent industrial agricultural, the trend has been consistent, GMOs are just another in that line of attempts to temporarily maintain/raise crop yields. I think studies had shown that cigarettes are about as addictive as heroine. Many people try to quit and do not succeed. Others have quit in a heart beat after all these years. Keep trying though and don't give up. Our first and second attempts does not have to mean we have to give up trying. There is plenty of things I have done and did not do on my first or second attempt.. watching adult movies was one of them. Yeah and I made false promises to God also. I bet most of us has told God we would stop something and did not at first. .but your are not going to be rejected by God because of this. He knows you meant well but also you are in a weak state. Rather now say God please keep helping me to try. If you have tried to quit cold turkey one day or two maybe that does not work best for you. I would use the gradual quit method. The reason in saying this is because once I was on Ativan. Doctors told me my system was addicted. The best way to get of Ativan is to gradually decrease the dosage so that the body does not go in shock. . For cigarettes it can be just the same. However not to be tempted to smoke anymore than the number you have been smoking. Figure out how much you smoke now. If you smoke a pack a day in two weeks smoke nineteen instead. In two more weeks eighteen in two more seventeen. Your body will start to adjust having less nicotine. Try getting some sugar free bubble gum. When you have the extra urge start chewing some gum instead. You don't want to go back up again. In forty weeks you can quit smoking if you're using a method like this. I don't know what else is out there. Maybe there is something better to use. But this is the method I would use if it was very difficult to quit at once. Lots of people say once they stop smoking for good they can smell and breathe the clean air. There's things they did not use to smell before they are able to now. . If there is a method that can work fast then this then go for it. Never make up any reason to have that extra cigarette. Stay on that number and keep improving. Work your way to becoming smoke free. And yes God still cares about you just as much as before you had promised him. Pray to God. Be in his presence in spirit. Your friend GW was. I have been around a lot of people before who smoked. I was a second hand smoker breathing this. I have the total feel of cigarettes and its battles. . Keep saying Lord help me. Nothing by you is impossible.

I think your father did this mostly because he cares about you and your life. Your father loves you as you also love this person. But he is not willing to risk your life whoever this person may be. Study the word love. It has different meanings depending on who or what is being loved. But agape is to be the highest love which is that of God himself and our love towards God. Th Bible says no greater love than he Jesus who laid his life down for his friends. Imagine how your father would feel if you had died of HIV or any other serious disease. Even just to be infected by it. Personally I would not take that risk. . because in life I have already taken too many risks sleeping with women from one relationship to the next. I could have always contracted something. It is not a sin however to choose to want to be with this person if God meant it to be for the better for both of you. But know though of the high risks you would be taking. While the bible teaches do not be unequally yoked or be with someone who is not of the faith does not mean a couple has to divorce. So long as they still can work in the marriage. One was converted and the other was not. But personally I would get out if this spouse hated Jesus or church. I believe God would understand my reason for getting out. Other wise I would try to work it out. . I can’t tell you for sure what to do or not to do. It's still your life to make these choices. Think about all the pros and cons about this situation. Will you benefit more or have more problems to deal with? In my case as much as it would hurt I would have to find someone else. This person after all made some really bad choices. . I would wonder if this person would ever again to be tempted to sleep with a same sex partner again. But if you decide that you do want to be with this person then I hope that God would help the both of you to manage through all these things. If this be Gods will and his plan for your life and his. . I can’t place a decision but rather just option to choose from. . lean unto God to his understanding. Whatever you choose I hope all things will work well. .

Hi other one.. Thanks for your great advice. I really think you know what you're talking about. You certainly have taken things into consideration. We're most leading towards an apartment. There are no children involved. If we do get any pets I would want a couple of ssmall dogs if they allowed them. And actually these places in Nevada (where we're looking now) has more square footage then the places that we have looked in Calif. for the same price. So are 2 greatest concerns might be... 1. How well the manager is with the tenants and hoping the residents are decent.. 2. That this would not need anything in the way of repairs too fast.

I want to know would it be better to own a home or an apartment, loft or flat? Which do you prefer and what are some pros and cons why you picked your choice? And someone not from the USA correct me if I am wrong please do you call it flats, or lofts? I'm trying to weigh out all my options and would like some very major opinions. I have so many pros and cons that figured impartial answers may sway me more one over the other.

Hi when I was growing up the number 13 was considered a number of bad luck. All this watch out for Friday the 13th. Even to say a movie made Friday the 13th. To even go further some buildings do not even have a 13th floor. Sometimes 1 am as the witching hour. On the other hand 13 has been known as a good number the 13 first colonies. I heard that in the military they fold the flag times. I also once here that Jesus was considered the 13th of the 12 disciples. So I am confused then. What should one consider the number13? Does it represent a bad number? Or was it that thirteen was attacked just because Jesus was the 13th among the disciples? Did 13 become bad because Satan wanted to twist its meaning? Or is 13 rather a receptacle number representing the 13 colonies and Jesus among the 12 disciples? So do you believe this number represents a bad image or anything to do with witchcraft of Satanism? Or is 13 actually a good number. Only that it was attacked just to make it look like a bad number. I hate this number looking like both the good and bad guy. If only one was truer than the other. What do you think?

Hi Willa I apologize for the late post response. . There was just some shopping to take care of. I was not debating in this topic until it was brought back up. It appears you have some high expectations of me but you don’t know me as a person. Even though I am honest to admit that I have fear in some things in other things it has taken much courage. I believe we all have strong attributes and even those that are weaker. Only God can discern these things for he knows our hearts. I’m a kind and friendly person, and pretty straightforward and honest if you get to know me as a friend. Qwik philly can verify this because I’ve written her a few times. It is just to me in your post you made me sad with the words you said against me that I have to defend my own faith. Yet this is quite common on a lot of forums. People love debates and tearing each other down. I used to be one of those people. But now I’m finding more ways to be involved in threads to be more of an inspiration and giving encouragement to other believers. Even if I have some fault and my obedience isn’t sufficient this is where Christ comes in who fulfilled the law in perfection, and grace and atonement for our sins. For then who shall I answer to that except the Lord? Concerning Bible Prophecy and end times I know these verses you speak of. These are the pattern of verses I was taught when I followed Hal Lyndsay. But a few years ago I had to take a deeper look into why I couldn’t answer many questions they would not tell me. Year after year Jesus was to return but when was this supposed to be? So I began to study along with my partner at home. Like 2 oxen plowing the field from one end to the other. The old way I knew was like raking leaves on the lawn. That may keep the lawn clean but it won’t help the grass or soil. These random verses are what I call single note scriptures. But we know that single notes don’t lead. An orchestra must lead and the single note needs to fit in the orchestra. So Matthew 24 and 25 and the Book of Rev. are orchestra chapters that compromise notes, chords, rhythm, tempo, pitches and octaves. Yes just like a full song. So the only true way to figure out verses like 1Thessalonians 5:9 we are not appointed unto wrath but unto salvation is a verse that must fit into the big picture. When one makes 1Thess 5:9 as the leading verse against the whole orchestra this is reverse thinking and which is why pre and mid trib takes themselves out of this world out of Matt.24, 25, Thess, and Rev.. While it may be confusing as to the mystery how is it possible 1Thess 5:9 the seals, trumpets, and bowls to fit together side by side. It would only seem to make sense that Christians would be taken off the Earth, right? This takes Matt.24 understanding. The testimony of Jesus is plain, clear and accurate. He speaks in a chronological way of events and making no mention of a rapture from verse 1 to the birth pangs to verse 31 the end of the age. This presents a great problem since Jesus would not omit such an important event. We are talking about the orchestra big picture here. For in these songs we get full understanding. So if we are to go all the way through then how do we avoid the wrath? So this is why many believe we will be taken out of the way. That is not the case because the Olivet Discourse uses a true testimony of which both Jews and Gentiles will endure. For this is as much a message to Gentile Christians even as much as for the believing Jews of they who followed after Jesus. This is recorded in Matt because we are to know these things. If it was God’s intention we were not to be here why make such emphasis on these events? God had John write the Book of Rev. just so we won’t be here? So God told us things we should not know of? But Rev.1:3 tells us blessed is the one who hears and reads the words of these prophecies and all to the one that keeps this. For the time of the Lord will arrive quickly. So because we need to read and see this…this is a message God wants us to know. I will show how 1Thess 5:9 works. Let’s go to another orchestra the Book of Exodus. God told Moses he will send plagues among the Egyptians. When God had done this all of his people were in the land of Egypt. Everyone was to witness as a true testimony. For then they couldn’t say Oh Lord and when did you see distinction between us your people and to those who have punished us? See it is very possible for God to execute judgments and never having to remove anyone out of that place. The same holds true with the seals, trumpets, and bowls. We will not be removed off the Earth at that time but just as the Hebrews these judgments will not afflict us and why not? 1Thess 5:9 promises us we will not obtain wrath but only salvation. God is all powerful and doesn’t need to take us out of the way. But he will on the last bowl, trumpet and seal. Look specifically in the six seal the people shall say look the Lamb has arrived. We tremble with fear his wrath has come upon us. For the Day of the Lord is a day of both deliverance and of wrath. How can this be possible to happen at once? Because know of the 10th plague in Exodus what God had done. Those who had the blood over the door saw there deliverance, but every 1st born son had died to those who didn’t have the blood. So In the NT anyone who’s spiritually has the blood of Jesus as their salvation they will not endure the judgments or his wrath. Last I want to share this but you say you speak of Moses. God says this will be the days of Noah and Lot surely it will be. Do you remember God told Noah in 7 days you’re to go into the ark? I will make it rain for 40 days and 40 nights. Do you remember in Sodom as in the days of Lot God sent down fire so it will be so? The 7 year trib is as the 7 days God told Noah to wait. For 7 years we will make ourselves be ready. But at the end of those 7 years then Jesus will the Son of Man appearing on the clouds. For even as a flood the wicked that followed after the beast shall be killed and the elect shall gather with him. But those like the remnant Jews will also be alive. For god gave them instruction to keep themselves in safety. As for Lot there will be hailstones coming down to the Earth. For this is the judgment from heaven from God. For even as the day of Noah and Lot shall be the day of the Son of man the judgment of God. So it is not the 7 years that represent the great flood because even in those years the rebellious and wicked shall still be alive. They will not when the Lord returns. This is why like the 10 virgins we are given signs to be watchful of these things. To look for a secret rapture there would be nothing to look for. But since we would be his people and that God loves us he gives us the mysteries to his unfolding plan and the rewards he stores for true believers.

Only the Father knows what day the Lord will come for His church. That part has little or nothing to do with satan. We are told in Luke to pray that we be counted worthy to escape all the things that are to come upon the earth. The reason that you have fear is that you are spending your time focusing on the enemy and what he might do. Instead focus on God and what He does on our behalf. If Christ lives in you and you in Him, He will give you the courage you need when the time comes. Not now. You can only walk on the water as Peter did by keeping your eyes on Jesus. As soon as your look at the world and the dangers around you you will sink. So stop it! You will know if you are saved by the reassurance of the Holy Spirit in your heart crying Daddy! to God our Father. When we live in communion with our Lord, we don't have fear about our salvation. We have already fully surrendered our lives to God. To have faith we read the scriptures, especially the New Testament Gospels and Epistles. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. So read them out loud if you must. But stop reading LaHay and all the other books. They don't seem to be building you up in the faith and encouraging you. Ignore books about the enemy. You are far too preoccupied with the end times portion. Just totally surrender your life to Christ to do with as He wills. Learn to recognize the voice of the Lord and obey His voice. It will never contradict scripture. It is full of love and reassurance. You need to prepare by learning to walk in the Holy Spirit, and by continually being refilled with the Holy Spirit. By doing this you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh and your faith will also grow. Cling to God's excedingly great and precious promises and grow in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Read Ephesians 8 and Phillippeans 4. God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Tim. 1:7 Above everything else, learn to love the unlovable as God does, saying Father, forgive them, they know not what they do. God does not give us the grace and courage to meet hard situation before we need it. He gives it all during our lives as we face daily situations while leaning on His grace and strength. It is like a muscle that grows. So learn to live a godly life in Christ Jesus now. No matter how we die, should it be today while walking accross the street or in the future, pray that we may glorify God in our lives as well as in our deaths. Hi Williamina. The initial idea of this post was to see how people felt about the day of the Lord each having their own Dispensational view point included if they wanted. People could also share whether they were looking forward to this or any kind of uncertainty or fear. As for me I admit the feeling is over whelming at most because it will mark the most important day since the crucifixion or that the Birth of Jesus life on Earth. The second appearing is the only event that can match or equate such a great event to occur. . I do not any longer believe Tim La Hayes or Hal Lyndsay. I believe Christians will be here during the whole antichrist 3 and a half year great Trib. We are given in detail of this many and what to expect. Would God tell us tell us these things believing we would not be here? Who are the Saints? Who are the Elect? Please don’t say another group of unknown Christians suddenly becomes saints. . Please don’t assign the Elect as a different group of people outside of those living today. For saints are the Elect are always God’s people through the entire Bible. . Revelation does not suddenly change the meaning. Matthew 24 or Revelation suddenly does not become a Jewish additional Old Testament Judaism teaching. Revelation is for Christians and Messianic Jews who believe in the Messiah Jesus Christ who came 2000 approximate years ago. So Jews, Greek and Gentiles of the world receive the 27 books of the New Testament. . These are for all believers. . Don’t start saying this teaching is only for Jews Book or chapter. Don’t say this is an only Gentile book. Say these are Books for both Jews and Gentiles all who have placed Faith on Jesus dying for our Sins. . Anyone that teaches or believes a Pre trib Rapture or Mid trib Rapture is going to be placed in false security and very surprised what they expected never did occur.. The Bible teaches nowhere there will be a 7 year early Rapture or 3 and a half years early Rapture. Did you know in 1830 a Scottish woman by the name of Margaret MacDonald was one of the first to depict the rapture and second coming by 2 separate events? Then her 117 lines were recorded by John Darby in his Bible Commentary. Is this the way God wanted us to know a true Revelation by a woman living in Scotland in 1830 we should suddenly know the truth? I certainly will not believe in that. I believe as those in 1611 when the Kings James was introduced. Early Christians believe only in a second coming. A middle event did not exist. For if it didn’t exist then why should it then exist now?. . They tried to preserve the truth. This Generation denies that Truth. I believe in the 1611 Generation Christians a second appearing of Christ period. Notice even 1Thess 4 tells us on the last Trumpet. What is the last trumpet? That is the seventh. It also says the Dead will rise first. So why should the dead escape the great trib? It is for these reasons and Bible words of order of events Matthew 24 and 2Thess and Daniel 12 we are assured Christians will be here till the last day, to the last Trumpet, the number 7 which is completion and perfection in the eyes of God. . Shorten these prophecies and see what is going to happen. For all things must happen before the end shall come. .. Jesus told us some of you will not taste Death that is those living in the 3 and a half years Great trib. Some of them will not see Death. But in that Generation they will see the appearing of Christ. So if we are Alive or if we are dead we may be able to see that day appearing. Unless it is appointed to be resurrected 1000 years later in the case for many people.. . We must believe Jesus gave us all the signs for us to see. Why would he give us signs that Christians would not be here to see? And this is to be handed over to non believers to figure this out? Not so. This called escapism. So if you depict an early departure from the Earth that to me is called fear. . . But I depict we will know those days if we are alive. . We will know that hour if we live in that hour. For now we do not know that hour since that hour has not yet come upon us.. How do I feel? Yeah honestly to say kind of nervous as to how this all is going into play out. However my Faith has not ceased. We at home continue to Pray and Hope. I know there is trouble in the Horizon. But I also must know a greater day happens after those things. . I Pray to God all True Christians will keep their Faith and rely totally on Gods help and discernment of His plan. . I’m not more special. I am not any better than any other believers. I am just one sheep among sheep ordinary simple among the flock body of the church of Christ. I ask no person to follow after me or my ways. I ask others only to follow God and after the ways of God. I am as you as a Sheep and I do not lead. I enjoy being inside even more when it is raining outside. I love the sound of the rain, especially thunderstorms. Each person is different. The important thing I have learned is that no matter what the skies may look like, the sun is always shining. It is true! The sun is always shining above the clouds. We may not see the sunshine; but it is always there. At night, the sun is shining on the other side of the earth. Somewhere, at any time, the sun is always shining. There's a spiritual application to this truth, and some very interesting things you probable didn't know. The sun in our solar system represents the Lord Jesus Christ. The moon represents Satan. The Sun radiates it's own energy and light; but the moon only reflects light from the sun. Likewise, Jesus Christ is the Light (John 8:12). Satan APPEARS as an angel of light (2nd Corinthians 11:14); BUT, he is the prince of darkness, and an imposter. Therefore, Satan is represented by the moon since he has no light of his own. Satan tries to imitate Jesus Christ. In fact, the moon is worshipped by Wiccan witches and also by Muslims in the Islam religion. Many occult organizations, such as the Freemasons, also incorporate the moon. The image to the left is of the Freemasonry god, Baphomet. Carefully notice the moon in the upper left-hand corner. The chart to the right is a witches' calendar, showing the phases of the moon. Witches greatly revere the moon, which represents the feminine aspect of their false New Age god. The "New Age" god is a homogenous god, a one-size fits all god, a take-your-pick type god, an undefined god--an impersonal energy force that holds the universe together. In New Age, god is a force, and not a being. In New Age, there are thousands of paths to "the light." Clearly, that light is Satan. Any light that is not the Lord Jesus Christ can only lead to Satan (Acts 4:12; John 14:6). Also, today's Islamic religion has it's origin in ancient moon worship, clearly revealed by their required prayers 5-times a day in synchronization with the cycles of the moon. Oh the darkness that so many people choose to walk in. Jesus will save anybody (Romans 10:13); but few people will come to Him for salvation (John 5:40). John 3:20 and 2nd Corinthians 4:4 tell us why. The Devil can only imitate the Light of Jesus; BUT, he is NOT the true Light. The Devil is a master counterfeiter, a deceiver! By the way, I only use the King James Bible. All other modern Bibles have been corrupted. When storm clouds gather over our life--when our spouse divorces us, when our child dies, when we lose our job, when we are way over our head in debt, when a parent disowns us, when our health is failing, when we are living in physical pain, when our coworkers persecute us, when people hurt us, when friends forsake us, when someone we looked up to betrayed us, when we can't see our hand in front of our face--just keep in mind that THE SON IS ALWAYS SHINING ABOVE THE CLOUDS! Jesus never fails! I love God's promise in Hebrews 13:5, "...for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Others may forsake us; but Jesus NEVER will. Psalm 23:4 so beautifully states, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me..." If you are a child of God, God is with you! Even if you've totally messed up your life, God is with you if you are a born-again believer. God didn't say that He would never leave us if we live perfect. No, He promised NEVER to leave us. God never forgets that we are dust, "For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust" (psalm 103:14). This doesn't condone sin, it just means that God never disowns His children. Once a child of God, always a child of God! Knowing this truth should cause us to love God enough to want to live a righteous life, to please God, and to walk closer with Him day by day. No Christian can become closer to the Lord apart from the Word of God (John 1:1,14). Therefore, we must live in our Bibles, thinking about Scriptures throughout the day. If we choose to live in sin as believers, then God will judge us at the Judgment Seat of Christ one day, and we will never truly be happy in this earthly life. Jesus never condemned anyone who came to Him for forgiveness, He simply asked them to do better in the future. With the Holy Spirit's help, we all can do better. It is so wonderful to be a Christian--to comprehend the truths of God's Word, to know that Jesus lives within our heart, to know that our sins have been forgiven, to know that Jesus' shed His blood to take away our sins, and to know that one day we will be with the Lord forever. Let us keep this truth in mind in this sin-cursed world--The Son of God is always shining! You say we are in debt so the money we have is borrowed money. So people are being paid salaries and America is giving out money to other countries that we don't have. So the Federal Reserve some how saved us. So if America is really in all this debt how did this all come about that our gold and silver couldn't cover anymore? If we owe money who are we to pay back? If America is debt and we owe ourselves then can't we forgive our own debt? Or is it we just owe a lot of money to other countries? One last thing is our gold and silver still worth value?

Let's suppose you go into a jewelry store. You have 2 Timex watches. One is gold and the other is brass. The Jeweler offers $200 for the brass watch and $500 for the gold watch. Of course these are different metals with different values. Gold is more worth in value than brass. It's not hard to figure out why gold is worth more than brass to even know true gold should not rust. Take a choice own a gold mine or a copper mine? Sure with gold you're going to have a lot more money by far. It takes 100 pennies to even just make $1. 1000 pennies for $10. That's not saying copper is worth that much. One gold coin maybe 100 or more dollars perhaps but no less than $10. While that makes sense this does not make sense to me. Now listen to this. A man is purchasing items at the computer store. The cashier says $80.72. the man gives him 2- $5 bills. Here you go he said. No says the cashier I said $80.72. But I gave you 2 bills. Is that not enough? No says the cashier that's only worth $10. So the man then gives him 3- $20 bills. Is this enough? he asked. No says the man I need 2 more of those. Then the man found a $100 bill. How about this? That's correct said the cashier that will pay for your items. The customer scratches his head. Wait! Now he says I gave you 2 bills. This green paper you said these 2 aren't enough. . Then I gave you these 3 green papers and you said that is not enough. So I handed you just this one green paper and now I have enough?. Ok we know there are different numbers at the corner of these bills. Yet so what? Every dollar bill, 5,10, 20, 50 and 100 are made of the same material, right? Some green paper is worth more? Some of this green paper is worth less? The gold watch got $500. The brass watch got $200. That is fair? Why then the same bills made the same way, the same size have different values? Please explain where this idea comes from. The same exact material, color, can be divided in different value of buying things. For I ask in all history before I thought by the make of money the way it is made gave us the value how much money should be worth. And now we have these bills that don’t abide by those laws of true value. So just because a higher number is on one bill you we can buy more things? Tell me how this got started and who made this logic that equal paper can be different value monetary savings? Because if I went into a jewelery store with Jefferson’s face on a silver plaque he would be worth more than Benjamin Franklin on a tin plaque. I've read several commentaries which agrees Rome is the Harlot in Rev. chapter 17. The consensus is pretty strong.. Vatican City is known for purple, great wealth, and religious at most. . And believed she Rome is the Harlot that will be destroyed and the ships will be a far saying alas alas that great city. This will be the end of the Roman Church for good never to return again. But I will have to say honestly it's hard to imagine no Rome anymore. That's when people will then say during the 1000 years. Remember Rome? Now it is gone. What then is the great city? Now it will be Jerusalem and no one should ever question that. As for now Rome pretends to be just as important as Jerusalem is.. The Pope pretends to be the next thing next to God. He called ‘your Holiness' and the Priest 'Father’. But we know that is wrong because the Bible say do not call one “Father” or call them “Rabbi”. For you have one Father who is God. So during the 1000 years Jesus is not going to let people turn to Rome that will be gone before Jesus returns..It will most likely take place during that 3 ½ years of tribulation. I‘m just a poster but if you want to write to the moderators Fez and One Light usually are well and responding to questions. Also I believe you need to get at least10 posts before you get your pm box to send and receive messages. Ten posts because they don't want one timers soliciting businesses. So the ten posts will show at least a regular member is posting. Please look at some of the other posts on this board you may be interested to answer. Answers can even be as short as one sentence or as long as several paragraphs depending on each ones preference. Don’t be dismayed at first that you might not feel to fit in. New members sometimes are not noticed until they have posted a few threads which members will become more familiar. There is also the introduction area somewhere on this board. Yeah you will be liked around here once you post a few more times. This happened to me at first. I felt left out when I first joined. Judas doe one great sin and I had done many multiple sins. Judas probably was not into when he followed Jesus. That’s why I told God I was probably worse than Him.. Which is why like Judas I wanted to do what he did. Take my life because my sins betrayed God.. No God you don't want me I kept sinning. Telling my friend Tim God Hates me. I told him look where I am at. How did God bring me back to life and this state of today being well again? There's more in the story testimony. Your testimony will actually help other people to know Gods forgiveness. Your story shares the mercy that God has. That pehraps Judas should have turned to God to ask God for his forgiveness. The Devil had Jesus try to jump from the temple. Jesus knew that was tempting fate. So Jesus said it is written Do not Tempt the Lord your God in any way. So Judas by taking his life did what Satan told Jesus . . Satan told Judas hang your self. You know what you did Judas. You were worthless. And don’t call on God. You have gone beyond His forgiveness. So Judas believed this lie not knowing he can call on God. Remember the Bible said Satan had entered into him. So we know for a time Judas had Satan's influence of this betrayal. Well what is done is done. It's all over. We can’t change the History. He took his life and he can not come back to repent again. So we should learn by this not to repeat what he had done. Forsaken God.

Would I want to live in Jesus days when Jesus was on Earth? Well I have to admit I am used to modern technology running faucets, convenient ovens, air condition so on way of life. Maybe even a better question, would I even survive in Jesus days? I honestly at least say it would be a rough life compared to what I know now. . I think in truth I wish I can use the Time Machine as I started the Time Machine thread in the Fellowship area. So I wish I could go back in a time machine to Jesus days to temporarily see how it was for a month or so and return back to this time to have much fuller knowledge of things. To actually say though if I was born in those days would I believe Jesus? Yes I would if the person Jesus healed is someone I knew a friend. And I would certainly believe if I myself was healed today. We are informed on TV about these side show acts. Back then in ordinary times who could do all these things. Would I want to follow Jesus? It would be neat to be one of the early disciples. Even if not the twelve those at least who lived during that time.. . But imagine though what aspect the Disciples had to see every miracle He did..All of them seen Jesus calming the wind in a few seconds.. What would be confusing though is I wonder “ Why is Jesus saying these things? Where are these commandments written? So I admit I may believe his miracles but I think I would not know what commandments He is teaching this New Covenant Laws. Since the New Covenant laws didn't exist how would I know to follow the laws that Jesus had the authority to teach these things? Would I be able to live during those days? I don’t know. I would have to be there for certain to know how much I would handle and to see how much I would believe in His miracles and what of His teachings I can grasp. I do admit for what we know today makes it easier to accept Jesus now because we have all the New Testament Books for which they did not have then, that we now have these days. I guess I think we have an advantage in some way of the proof we have now.

To Argosy I know what you mean about watching Satan’s the Devil’s moves. I used to spend hours a day reading about any signs article Left Behind books how to determine this Antichrist. It does seem Satan holds the clock of time on what is happening now and what will happen in the future. We don’t seem to realize this will all happen in God’s time. It is why over the years of study of the Bible my views changed dramatically from one aspect to another. Simply scriptures alone prove me other wise from how I was taught. There is much talk among Christians of most and every denomination of every Church. There is talk of “The Day of the Lord’. Why in fact for centuries this has been much of the talk about the Bibles scriptures concerning the Day of the Lord. It's more important than Wood stock. More important than a presidential or Monarchy inauguration put in office.. It's more important than even a new born baby entering into this world. For the Day of the Lord is all the talk among Christians. We today so ever in these times speak often of this day. Yet even so every day life can be distracting at most. With all these things our minds may drift away from seeking to know this day. It is therefore good for Christians to assemble in one place or many places of group participation to discuss many Bible issues at hand. Even if we know or not know the answers we need to continue to encourage one another in our Faith. So for this reason I wanted to assemble here among us Worthy posters with the topic’ The Day of the Lord”. We can have a friendly discussion each of us sharing an aspect on the Day of the Lord for there is much to say of these things. It is what I believe what we seek after to know of the Lords Day. Is this verse symbolic, literal or some other category? Often read subtitles on the top, read the entire chapter, divide the proper sections, and use at least 2 Bibles for translation purposes. Last I would use several commentaries and especially if I am unsure like Matthew Henry for example. No commentator is perfect but 1 like Matthew Henry does help us to move in the right direction. Lastly I want to say "chariots as lightning" I believe as you do KW that it's todays automobiles. Our cars are run by horsepower just as chariots were pulled by horses. I have actually thought about this quite often too. I mean because Jesus died on the cross to forgive us. And we know that the religious leaders and the crowds gather together to demand that Jesus was crucified and certainly they accomplished this. That's why I said in my earlier post that Jesus says Father!Father! forgive them for they do not know what they do. So it seemed like everyone else had a way of redemption except Judas Iscariot who seemed never had another chance. Jesus said at the Last Supper that he would be betrayed and it was better that the person not to be born. So I remember that Judas was sorry for the things he did. I kind of wonder why Jesus did not send someone to Judas to say Thou art Judas for you have betrayed me. But I have seen that you have repented of these things. Goest thou way. For the great purpose of this had to happen for the son of man to be handed over. As we can see no one went out the way to rescue Judas from taking his life. So I have wondered if Judas actually said Oh God Father of Heaven I have sinned greatly against you and Judas brought a sacrifice of the appropiate offering would have been saved?

Hi Qnts and nebula It sounds like to me are you saying that Jesus was thought by many that he was going to become some powerful ruler. I mean did some people believe he was going to form some great army and be able to defeat Rome?
