Just asking. Have you, VA or any others reading heard sermons just on the Lord Himself - His character, His Names, His Titles. Like the devotional said, Focus on Christ. Yet how many talks and discussions do we have actually on Christ?

Now I understand where you are coming from. We`ve been to some prophetic conferences too, mainly in the `90`s. And yes, Paul does say by the Holy Spirit that all may prophecy. That said the ministry of a Prophet is a different in that it is the person who prophecies in a greater sphere. The Prophet is one of the 5-fold Ministries of Christ to the Body of Christ. He works alongside the Apostle who has the Father`s heart and is not a CEO of an organization, (as some think). The pictures etc are more in the line of `a word of knowledge.` Some times you can `read the mail,` as we call it, meaning you can get an understanding of the situation the person is going through. This is not always appropriate to blurt out but for your understanding so you can pray with understanding. Let me give you a sharp example. In the early`80`s I was teaching in a town and took along another teacher to a special meeting. The speaker called this other teacher out the front and said, "You are like a jagged tin can....` Well, that went down like a ton of bricks, you can imagine. The speaker should have prayed into the situation having had that insight. eg - "The Lord would say you are precious in His sight. And you feel the drawing of His Holy Spirit to know Him more.....` etc I have noticed from my grandmother`s prophecies that she kept, (they were typed in those days) that often the prophecy started with a scripture and then was expounded. perhaps you could practice saying a scripture of God`s character and then expounding it. eg. `Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised.` As we praise the Lord this morning for He is a great God, and as we lift Him high in our midst we exalt Him. Exalt Him who is high above all, exalt Him who reigns over all, exalt the one who died for us, ....Let us raise our hands and exalt the Lord who is worthy of our praise.....` Hope that gives you some thoughts to go on.

Hi Starise, Good topic. I grew up in a fellowship that had Prophets and those who prophesied. I saw the difference over time and also saw the character of those who gave the word. Generally, I would say that the prophecies that came forth (often in torrents, and with a Scottish, or English accent) were about the Lord Himself and His work among the people. I have grandma`s books she obtained from the Welsh convention once a year and the prophecies are wonderful. Not at all like you may hear in places today, which can be more like fortune telling.

You know VA, this topic should be uttermost in our desire to talk of Him who gave His all. And yet I read of those who would rather talk of the symbol of the serpent as though it is real. I do wonder sometimes where people`s real desires are at.

Hi Michael, There can never be too much attention to the Apocalypse if it is referring to the book of Revelation. Because the book of Revelation is the unveiling of Christ as He is known in the heavenly realms - the Head, the Heir, the Mediator, the Judge.

So good VA, And the Lord Himself does this when addressing the 7 churches in Revelation. The Lord addresses each group particularly, giving words of commendation and encouragement or chastisement and warnings. Christ then counsels each group presenting Himself in clarity and truth. The response is but to repent and obey His Holy Spirit. For example - 7. Laodicea - Man`s Character and his Purposes. (Rev. 3: 14 – 19) Christ reveals Himself to this group as the Originator (Beginning) & the one who will Terminate all things, (Amen) plus the one who oversees all in between. It is His purposes that will prevail, not man`s. `These things says the Amen, ......the Beginning of the creation of God.` (Rev. 3: 14) This group believe that by partnering with the world system they can transform & change the world bringing peace, hope & justice, through man`s efforts. This is shown by their name, which reveals their character & motives. Laodicea - `Laos` - people, & `dike` - justice, meaning – the people`s justice. This is spiritual adultery, joining with the world & not relying on the Lord. `....friendship with the world is enmity with God.` (James 4: 4) Friendship – from the Gk word, `philia` friendship & `philos` friend, associate, partner This group also look to the world for leadership techniques & business strategies, measuring their success by worldly standards. `I am rich, have become wealthy, & have need of nothing.` (Rev. 3: 17) The Lord however chastises them quite severely saying that He sees them as - `wretched, miserable, poor, blind & naked -` (Rev. 3: 17) This group should have been a `Witness` to the world of the power of God to change people. They should have been `faithful` to show that it is by His Spirit people are changed, & not by man`s efforts – promotions of organisations, entertainment, or big events etc. They should have been `true` to God`s word declaring that He will judge the world, instead of saying that He is transforming it for the better. The Lord `the faithful & True Witness` then addresses their watered down witness or `lukewarmness.` He tells them quite strongly, that unless they repent He will `vomit ` them out of His mouth.(Rev. 3: 16) He then counsels them to know Him as their source - `buy from Me gold....white garments...& anoint your eyes...` (Rev. 3: 18) Gold - Faith in Christ & not in man. (1 Peter 1: 7) White Garments - Christ`s righteousness not man`s efforts. (Titus 3: 5 & 6) Anoint your eyes - Insight by the Holy Spirit into Christ`s purposes, & not man`s purposes. (John 16: 13)

Hi Dennis, Good topic and one we follow. Yes, this present monetary system is in for a momentous bust. But, as we know there is a plan for a global currency under one umbrella. The IMF (International Monetary (Mafia) Fund) has been made (after WW 2) to do this job. At the moment they have increased their SDR`s (Special Drawing Rights) to many countries. They now have a wide reach with all in debt to them. The SDR`s are a token that can be exchanged for one of the currencies in their basket of currencies, (Dollar, Euro, Pound, Yen, & Yuan.) The New SDR- System. Over the past few years there have been many voices calling for a New SDR-System to be the basis of the World`s financial & economic system. To name a few .... In 2010 there was published an article be the former Finance minister of Colombia. It was titled `Building an SDR-Based Reserve System.` In 2016 in China`s most prominent international monetary magazine, there was an article titled `Revive the IMF`s SDR Substitution Fund.` It explained in detail how a transition from a dollar-centred system towards an IMF-SDR system was planned as early as the 1970`s. Many believe that now 50 years later after its introduction, an SDR Substitution Fund, could well be the best approach to kick-start the SDR as a truly World Reserve Currency. This substitution Fund would enable central banks to exchange their U.S. dollars for SDR`s. Thus they would diversify away from the dollar and be dropping the U.S. dollar as the anchor for the world`s monetary system. Also the IMF has increased its commodity content, (gold) and included major emerging markets. Note there are currently 190 countries members of the IMF. Commercial `parties` will also be given new SDR-money (M-SDR`s) to be used as SDR-denominated financial market instruments. Thus a New SDR-System is emerging to replace the U.S. dollar as the World`s reserve currency.

Hi VA, That is my one song, the Lord Jesus Christ. So, thank you for again helping us all to focus on Him. And that means to meditate on His character, His titles and names, that tell us so much about Him. I try to write about that in my blogs. Now, why people often have difficulty there is for a number of reasons - 1. Sermons are mostly about people, `what you can do better,` or `How to find God`s plan for your life....` Always like a carrot with people thinking they have to find some activity to do, whereas God`s one plan is to make us like Christ. The rest is service to others. 2. Also, there is a wrong focus on trying to extend God`s kingdom, (as if He gave it away) instead of building up the Body of Christ through relationships around us. A misunderstanding there of Kingdom and Body of Christ. 3. Finally, sermons are rarely about Jesus, His character, titles, names and purpose. And that is what we need to grow and to worship Him with more and more understanding and appreciation. Marilyn.

The serpent is a SYMBOL. A symbol of Satan as the deluder. We know of the symbol of the Lamb as though it had been slain with 7 horns and 7 eyes, (Rev. 5: 6) but we don`t go into all the detail and say what a strange Lamb. We know it is a SYMBOL of Christ`s sacrifice and the power of the Holy Spirit, (the 7 fold Holy Spirit) When know that a lamb can be brought to the sacrifice `silent,` and thus it represents the Lord in His humble attitude to dying for us. So too the serpent is a SYMBOL, but of Satan. When we see a snake we know that it can be cunning and slithering on its belly, while other reptiles have legs to get around with. Thus, we realise that God was limiting Satan more by reducing his ability to get around. It is NOT about the serpent but Satan and his ability, his authority that God is addressing.

Satan`s tactics are described as - (Rev. 12: 9) the Serpent - deluding. the devil - destroying. Satan - accusing. the Dragon - devouring. Christ the Conqueror, overcame his every tactic.

Hi Kristina, Yes, that chapter is very powerful. Then, I tend to think Rev. 4 where we see the glorified Lord on His own throne with the Body of Christ acclaimed by all of heaven as the mighty conqueror of sin and death. From that throne, (power and authority of the Father) the Lord begins to put down all rule, authority and power. The beginning of the restoration of all things. Marilyn.

Given that God judged the Roman government over 2,000 years ago, I think they are long dead. As you have written a book I see you are not going to change your mind, so I will leave the `table.` regards, Marilyn.

`Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, to anoint the Most Holy.` (Dan. 9: 24) And that certainly has not been completed for - your people and your holy city. destroy - Heb. `shachath,` to decay, ruin, waste, destroy. Jerusalem has never been fully destroyed for there are still parts of the old Temple we can see today etc. Ez. 38 & 39 do NOT depict any Arab nation, it is only Persia,(Iran) that is Muslim. And BTW where are the scriptures for `Rome?`

I don`t think you actually know what is ahead from God`s word. 1. After the world goes against Israel and they finish this war, the Russian Federation plus Iran etc will come down to the Golan heights where God will deal with them. 2.Man of Peace steps in and makes a peace treaty with Israel. And because there is then a power vacuum in the Middle East with Iran and Russia `s army gone, the Islamic world will begin to arise. First the 3 nations of Iraq, Syria and Jordan, (Ancient Assyria) will become the power base for this person. Later when all the world goes after him the other 7 Islamic nation give their power to him. 3. The West is deceived by this person, (Dan. 8: 23 – 25) and thus East and West, especially their finances come together. You see the Islamic Finances do not allow for usury which the West is built and falls on. So, that will all come under a new way of operating. As to the USA it owes trillions which can`t be paid back. They buy goods from other countries and pay with IOU`s in paper. The BRICS countries and others are now NOT using the dollar. So, it`s not long till the great spending spree the USA had while other countries held them up, is finished. And with their downfall will come the other Western countries and actually most of the world`s economies. Still, when the central Banks across the world get fully operating with their CBDC`s they will all come under the IMF (International Mafia/Monetary Fund) which will become the Lender of Last resort. And since the CBDC`s (Central Bank`s Digital Currency`s) are programmable, then it is only a step to the Mark. We are on the brink.

Thank you for looking at each of the scriptures and commenting. Perhaps we can have a closer look at them. Isa. 31: 5 & 8. The context is when the Lord and His angelic army – `….come down to fight for Mount Zion and for its hill. Like flying birds about, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem. Defending He will also deliver it; passing over, He will preserve it. ` And that is at the end of the tribulation when the Lord passes over Mount Zion and lands on the Mount of Olives. `For I will gather all the nations top battle against Jerusalem; the city shall be taken, the houses rifled, and the women ravished. Half of the city shall go into captivity, but the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then the Lord will go forth and fight against those nation, as He fights in the day of battle. And in the day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east.` (Zech. 14: 2 – 4) Dan. 11: 35 – 45. So, we both agree that when Alexander the Great died his kingdom was divided between the four generals and the north region came under the Seleucid Dynasty which is the old Assyrian region. Daniel is directed in 11: 40 to jump two thousand years until the `Time of the End.` `At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind…` Thus, the King of the North is the region of the Assyrian`s power base at first. And as you stated he is also called the king of Babylon. And that is where God`s word tells us that he sets up his headquarters. And did you know that the city of Babylon is being built again. Yes, the UN and the USA are rebuilding ancient Babylon again and have been for many years. It is a very popular tourist attraction. Dan. 7: 8. The description of the terrifying beast fits Islam. Yes, it is a religion but it also is a Political force. The 10 horns are the 10 kings of Rev. 17: 12. They will be – - Iraq, Syria & Jordan, (3) - Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Oman, Yemen, Saudi Arabia. (7) They are waiting for their leader to arise to lead them.

I believe that people of the Prince are the Muslims. And the Prince, the leader is the anti-Christ. No, for the city, Jerusalem does not get destroyed, till at the end of the tribulation. (Zech. 14: 2)

Thanks Jonathan, That`s right it is not in that symbolic beastly description, but else where in God`s word. We know from scripture where the anti-Christ will arise & what his nationality is. We are also told that he is an Assyrian. Now this is a nationality even today. Andre Agassi, the famous tennis player is of Assyrian descent. Details of the anti-Christ – His nationality – Assyrian. (Isa. 31: 8 Micah 5: 5) The region he comes from – the Ancient Assyrian Empire. (Dan. 11: 35 – 43) Leader of Ancient Assyrian region - Iraq, Syria & Jordan. (Dan. 7: 8) Leader of Islamic Federation – 10 kings of Islam. (Dan. 7: 8, Rev. 17: 12) He rules the world – (Rev. 16: 13 & 14, 19: 19)

Long gone. God judged its leadership when they were a world power, and now they are all dead.

Hi Jonathan, God`s word says that the Islamic Federation (that will form) will be the most formidable and most terrifying power this world has ever seen. Oct. 7 in Israel is but a taste. `After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. it was different from all the beasts that were before it.` (Dan. 7: 7)

The article in the op is of the New Age philosophy. It is very deceptive as it uses words from God`s word but it is not the truth. Let`s look at some examples. 1.This is the New Age belief that God is everything and everything is God. I am who I am, and my being is in thee, and all that is, is in Me, for there is nothing but what is, and what is, is I. God`s word says that God is separate from His creation. `….your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.` (Isa. 59: 2) 2.This is the New Age belief that people have spirit guides of some nebulous light. `This spiritual guide of light will lead thee to Me, for light always returns to its Source.` God`s word says the His Holy Spirit will teach the believer of Christ. ` ….the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. ` (John. 14: 26) `He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.` (John 16: 14) 3.This is the New Age belief that man will be exalted. `Thou are only at the beginning of thine journey, but in the space of time I will exalt thee upon to My perfection. God`s word says that Jesus is the one who is exalted. `This Jesus God raised up, of which we are witnesses. Therefore being exalted to the right hand of the Father,….` (Acts 2: 32 & 33) `
