  1. Jesus was given a choice to have a woman stoned under law of Moses, He chose to forgive her, and Jesus let all know that they were sinners too,I follow Jesus. Jesus is Lord. Jesus taught the old testament. But Jesus coming did change things, We have his grace and we need to show his grace to others,
  2. It should be up to the restaurant owner the age of his customers. Everything doesn't need to be decided by government or national opinion. I took my children in nice restaurant so they can learn how to behave in one. They were pretty good. i would never let my children scream or behave in a way that would make people uncomfortable. I would pick up my kids and leave if that happened. People should be considerate of other customers and the owner. especially if they are christian and pray over their meal.
  3. Jesus said; If the world hates you, keep in mind it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. John 15:18-19
  4. Jesus gave us a peace that is different than the peace the world has. It is a peace I can have along side of any hardship that I might be experiencing. Most become christians because they met Jesus and because of what he did for them. This is the peace we have. It is important to find the right church, A new christian might not know this. It is sad that some think because they are christians their problems are over. We need to get the word out that we have many of the same problems as everyone; but we have a hope in Jesus Christ
  5. Teachers are just people. I think most do get respect, and they deserve it. There are some bad teachers out there too. The problems with the schools have more to do with unions than teachers. There are serious problems with our schools and we so need to address them. We need our children to do better in school or our country will go down hill.
  6. A good example of Gods people working with others in the old testament would be the book of Daniel. He is an example of how a man of God lived and worked among the ungodly. I really can't think of a reason you couldn't bake cookies, plum a sink or sell a car to a non-christian sinner. We are to live in the world without becoming of the world. We are to become Christ to the world. I think 2 corinthians 4 said it; we are to be plain and clear about what we believe. We are to be the conscience to the world. We are to let our lives show how God (not us) is the power and light within us.
  7. Therefore, since through Gods mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. Rather we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every mans conscience in the sight of God. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbeliever, so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord and ourselves as your servants for Jesus sake. For God who said, "let the light shine out of the darkness" made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us, We are heard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; .....2 Corinthians 4:1-9
  8. Other one: Problem is that id we truly love the sinner, how in the world can we just stand by and watch them go to hell. Me: Good question we must show the love of Jesus to them. Yet make it known that we are christian, and get to a point were we can invite them to become a christian. Not an easy thing in the world today. The world is blinded into believing there is something wrong with the christian, but that homosexuals are normal. I think it's possible but it would take super natural help from the Holy Spirit. I can't say I have an answer to this problem.
  9. I hear christians say "hate the sin, and love the sinner". Baking a cake is a good time to show love to the sinner? But everyone has to decide were to draw the line. The government shouldn't be part of that decision. But in the world they see gays as a race, not just a lifestyle. This could be the beginning of laws to force christians to accept gays. It reminds me of Obama making hospitals and christian insurances companies to sell birth control insurance.
  10. I would be against making laws outlawing gay activity. That would be forcing our religious beliefs on others, But that is not happening here. It is the bakery that is being forced into a acting against its beliefs. It is gay activist that is forcing their morality on others.
  11. If I were a baker and was asked to make an x rated cake I would turn it down. I can understand the problem a christian would have with a cake for a gay couple. Although the world will not see the connection. But I also have a problem with the government dictating to a privately owned business.
  12. If I were a baker I would not refuse to bake a cake for gay couples. Even though it is a sin. What other sins am I going to not bake a cake for? Am I going to give out a list of questions to see if people are sin free enough for one of my cakes? Of course not I am a sinner saved by grace only, and have no right punish people with my cake service. (throw stones) But I don't want the government dictating to privately owned businesses. So I am on the side of the bakery on this one.
  13. I have met people who don't think it matters who Jesus is. They believe he is a person like buddha. But they believe he existed and like his words. They believe they are saved by his dying on the cross, and they don't think they have to change any ungodly behavior. I think this is an example of this lordship or cheap grace. Believing in Jesus according to who Jesus said he was saves us. The Holy Spirit can then change you. Repentance is a part of that and required from time to time until death. Because we are sinners and need to recognize this.
  14. Reading all of 1 timothy 2 this chapter seems to me about keeping women modest and safe in their society.
  15. God gave us His son he didn't create him. Jesus was there from the beginning. For God so loved the world he gave his one and only Son...John 3:16 He was with God from the beginning. Through him all things were made: Without him nothing was made. In him was life, and that life was the light of man... John 1:2-3
