  1. How would you be able know this? You were never given the opportunity to even be in the same position as Adam. You never had a blank slate to begin with. None of us have which is also seems very unfair. Adam was brought into existence unadulterated and sinless yet we are brought into existence corrupt with a broken relationship that we have to fix. Using your own words, if every perfect man lacking nothing would do the same thing as Adam why wouldn't every perfect angel lacking nothing do the same thing as Satan? Why didn't every perfect angel do the same thing Satan did? It seems silly to me that you would believe any man would turn against God eventually if they were in Adam's position. My point is I never had the same opportunity as Adam did.
  2. So the reason why I owe reconciliation to God right now is because I was in the loins of another man who sinned. That was what changed the destiny God had planned for me? Silly. I will never be able to understand how you all can justify why your held accountable for something as ridiculous as that.
  3. Angels are responsible for their sins or lack of sin. Just like you are condemned for your sins and only your sins. Not your father's sins. Not adam's sins. Yours. You are accepting the punishment for your sins alone. Unless you turn to Jesus. Then He bears the burden of your sins. Fallen angels do not have the option of getting saved by Jesus. You are ahead of things there. I am not condemned for only my sins. It is obvious that Adam and Eve's sins are very condemning to the entire human race. Now everyone has to restore their relationship with God or they will go to hell. If Adam and Eve hadn't sinned, their wouldn't have to be any relationship to restore or any reconciliation to happen. Their sins seems pretty condemning to me. Well, you've got it! It is because of Adam and Eve's disobedience, that they fell out of relationship with God. Something changed within them at that moment that they partook of the fruit that they were forbidden to eat. Now, all of the human race has been infected with that defect---unrighteousness. We are not condemned because of certain sins we commit. We are condemned because we are inherently unrighteous. That is our legal standing before the Judge---God Himself. We need that lawyer, Jesus---our Advocate---to plead our case and to cover us with His own blood so that the Judge---God---will look upon us as righteous as His Son. So now the more important questions come up: Why should I have to deal with the consequences of Adam/Eve's decision? Why is the relationship God originally destined you and me to have with him altered because of two idiots?
  4. So should I create another thread in the seekers lounge? I looked and it doesn't look like that section of the forum has much attention in it. I don't think it would be a good place to look for answers.

  6. This is a welcome thread---not a debate thread. Actually I couldn't post in any of the other sections so I had to choose this one. So far I am still disappointed and upset at the fact no one has been able to provide me with a satisfying response.
  7. I don't think anyone has been able to answer this part yet: Why did other angels not have to share punishment for what Satan did? But yet, I am supposed to accept the punishment for what Adam/Eve did? How does this make any sense?
  8. But why is it I have to work towards a relationship with God in the first place? Why is it broken? Your sins keep you from God. There is only one way to repair that: through Jesus. Exactly. My sins keep me from God. But my question revolves around the idea that why does Adam/Eve's sins keep me from God?
  9. So angels can escape it but we can't. Why is this? Why are the circumstances surrounding my existence so different from that of the existence of angels? Why do they have such a big advantage? It seems like they get a get out of jail free pass. They do not have to work towards rebuilding a relationship or pleasing God because they are already perfect in his eyes. Angels are heavenly creatures. They are not like us and have been created for another purpose. We were created to have fellowship with God---intimate fellowship. Angels (a whole order of them) are ministering spirits doing the will of God---concerning us. God's love and focus is man. Fallen angels are not on the hook for sin except the fallen ones who chose rebellion against God---there is no hope for them, but there is hope for us because He loves us so much! Righteous angels remained in their roles and did not rebel. Why should they be cast out of heaven with the rebels? This wavering love you speak of concerns me. If he is willing to offer reconciliation to some of his creation but not all then I cannot see how is he fair or loving. But again, this is not the primary part of my question.
  10. With very little research on the matter I have found one verse that contradicts this: You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matt 5:48 http://www.openbible.info/topics/god_made_us_perfect

  12. But I was not even brought into existence yet. Why am I torn apart from my creator because of a decision someone else made? Why should I have to inherit that punishment? You also stated not all angels were held accountable for Satan's decision. So why should I be held accountable for Adam/Eve's? Our Creator doesn't tear anyone apart. His Creation has been "kidnapped" in a sense, and robbed of its perfect standing with Him by an interloper. He has ransomed us back by the price paid by His Son. If you want to remain with your captor, He gives you every right to do so...but don't forget that we all have a father---either God or Satan, and it has now become a choice for us to make: who will you serve? Righteous angels are not soiled by choosing to follow the infidel among them, but that infidel, Satan, infected humanity, and so they need a deliverer...Jesus Christ. So angels are somehow immune to the decisions of Satan but we are not immune to the decisions of Adam and Eve? Why is this? One man falls, all men fall. One angel falls, not all of them fall?
  13. I like your response but you did not completely respond to my 2nd paragraph at all. So I have bolded it for everyone since it is not being commented on much.
  14. But why is it I have to work towards a relationship with God in the first place? Why is it broken?
