  1. What I see going on today is more of the Harlot being systemically dismantled. When the 10 horns deal her the death blow, then some serious fireworks start, including the rise of the man of sin and all his whizbangery.
  2. Just because Jerusalem is not being tread underfoot by Gentiles today doesn't mean that it won't be attacked in the future.
  3. So you see Babylon as the holy city. Weird. There are serious inconsistencies in your eschatology. You are also confusing Jerusalem with the holy city.
  4. Jerusalem is not Babylon. Israel is not one of Satan's heads.
  5. The outer court of the temple is not Jerusalem.
  6. Perhaps not directly. However, the 1967 liberation of east Jerusalem is significant, along with the 1948 war which resulted in western Jerusalem becoming part of the state of Israel. The significance of Jewish sovereignty over is Jerusalem is a prophetic marker. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. Luke 21:24b The times of the Gentiles has been fulfilled. What's left is for the fulness of the Gentiles to come in. That will be brought about by the events of the end. This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations [Gentiles], and then the end will come. Matt 24:14
  7. Michael Heiser has a good video explaining why the battle known as Armageddon takes place at Jerusalem.
  8. The feet of iron and clay. The globalist U.N. At least for now. Yes. The beast and his ten horns are primarily evil spirit beings who influence the natural realm. They began the 4th kingdom over a century ago and have been busy setting the stage for the little horn. Yes, in contrast to the other horns who don't have eyes and a mouth, non-humans.
  9. I think it speaks more to the sanctification process. It addresses what the believer has done, ie crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Its like the overcoming promises in the letters to the seven churches, a certain level of obedience. Salvation is a free gift. Some rewards are earned. It's God's call.
  10. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Galatians 5:24 Have ALL believers crucified the flesh with its passions and desires? I think that's the question.

    Babylon

A little context is in order here. A couple of verses earlier in Isaiah 14, we find this: How you have fallen from heaven, you star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who defeated the nations! But you said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly in the recesses of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ Nevertheless you will be brought down to Sheol, to the recesses of the pit. Those who see you will stare at you, they will closely examine you, saying, ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms'. Isaiah 14:12-16 Clearly a reference to Satan. The blood of Abel is found in Babylon, along with the blood of all who have been slain on the Earth. Rev 18:24 Babylon is primarily spiritual and transcends generations. Once you start viewing Babylon as the influence of Satan's kingdom on the human race, it becomes much less of a mystery. Yes, we see manifestations of Babylon in the natural realm. Satan entered the son of perdition in the first century and failed to stop the Messiah. He will enter the son of perdition again and fail again. There's a reason the false prophet speaks like a dragon.

    Babylon

Babylon is the influence of Satan's kingdom on the human race. The king of Babylon is Satan.
  13. I tend to agree with the notion that there's not a lot of wasted effort when it comes to pushing an agenda. And when that agenda is being pushed by the spiritual forces of wickedness, its even more true. The next global deception is going to be when the man of sin performs amazing signs and wonders. The whole extraterrestrial narrative will play right into that scenario. And regardless of the claims, the power on display will be supernatural. Satan gives his power, throne, and great authority to another evil angel (the beast) while he enters the man of sin. Satan then works in conjunction with the beast to deceive the world through signs and wonders. I doubt there's life on other planets. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, not earths. The earth is unique, at least how I read it. So, yeah, I think those exposing the UFO phenom as demonic are correct and it should be exposed as such.
  14. It will be a global phenomena. “Then they will hand you over to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name." Matt 24:9 Satan will attack the woman first, then her offspring who are all around the world (Rev 12).
  15. Granted, there will be manifestations in the natural realm. What I was getting at is that even though the beast and his ten horns brought us the Roman Empire, their emergence from the abyss in the last days is not confined to the former Roman territories.
  16. What I would say would go something like this: There is going to arise in the Middle East a man who will perform signs and wonders to deceive the world into believing that he is God. He will claim to be God but he is lying because when God returns to Earth in the person of Jesus Christ, He will be seen by everyone, everywhere. This false prophet will demand obedience to his authority and those who refuse will be killed. He will have the means to take everything you own so set your affections on things above and cling to the blessed hope of eternal life in Christ, a hope beyond this world.
  17. That's why its important to stay flexible. The interpretations of LaHaye, Jefferies, Lindsey, et al are largely irrelevant yet some still cling to those notions. They were big on a 10 nation federation in Europe without realizing that the beast and his 10 horns are primarily evil spirit beings who influence the natural realm. They aren't bound to geography.
  18. The disciples who were both Jews and charter members (sans Judas) of the new covenant church which exists to this day. That's why the discourse speaks both to Israel and the church.
  19. I think that's talking about preachers who come in Christ's name, who confess Jesus as the Christ. I don't think someone would both claim to be Christ and then come in His name. That's not to say that there won't be false Christs. The above passage refers to the deception caused by preachers who claim to be Christians, kind of what we see a lot of today. For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires. 2 Tim 4:3 Agree. People need to be ready to endure great tribulation. Its not for no reason that we are instructed over and over again by Jesus to be ready and on the alert. This world is not our home.
  20. Sleep is what happens after death, usually in the ground but not necessarily so. And many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt. Daniel 12:2 Everyone is appointed to die. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. 1 Cor 15:22 Those believers who are alive when Christ returns die, but they don't sleep. Death and sleep are two different, albeit related things.
  21. So true. I've found that when someone has to toot their own horn often and loudly, beware! Someone led by the Spirit doesn't need to denigrate or act condescendingly. That's prideful flesh talkin'. Someone led by the Spirit knows that it is He who leads into truth so they simply present the truth and let the Holy Spirit do His job.
