  1. My husband and I do bible study together every night, every morning we pray and worship together (Our voices are HORRIBLE lol) and pray together every night before bed. We also try to pray during the day together and regularly talk bible together We have no way to get to a 'church' due to my disability so this is OUR church as there are 2 of us :-) we do have a very strong marriage and strong love for each other
  2. Thank you for your response :-) but I think you misread my post. I never said nor implied I love my husband more than the Lord but that when husband was home I felt closer to the Lord than when I am alone
  3. Thank you for your response :-) Yes I have been blessed w/a truly God fearing man. We both came to the Lord almost 6 yrs ago and we have made the Lord our center of our marriage. We do have our moments but they pass quickly (thank you Jesus) and mainly my doing w/my anger. But my concern is though is there an issue w/ME because my closeness to the Lord comes a lot of times because my husband is here. Shouldn't I be feeling this closeness on my own???
  4. My husband and I are on the same journey in our walk with Christ. We are trying to grow in our relationship with Him. I'm house and bed bound and he is out and about working (our job allows us to work at home) and when he's gone I try to pray etc and I know the Lord is w/me but I don't feel as close to Him unless my husband is home and I mean literally I feel closer to the Lord as soon as my hubby walks in. Is this normal?
  5. Please help me with this I am anti homosexuality and I have been told by numerous liberals that 'love is love' in regards to homosexuality and profess to be Christians. I'm re-reading Romans and chapter 14 is killing my brain. Paul is talking about not making someone weaker in the faith stumble because they don't believe exactly as you do and as an example he uses food. I keep turning this over in my mind that would homosexuality/transgenderism fit in this verse as well? I want to say no as these are sins but............
  6. I used to love horror too. but once I was saved I want nothing to do w/most secular movies. only watch christian and family movies.
  7. Thank you for the responses. Just for clarification we do not worship to the pic of Jesus or the cross. We keep them simply for the reminder to keep on path of what we want and that is to follow Christ every day. As for the pic of Christ it's a print from art.com (I' cannot attach it to this it will not accept any that I try to attach - but you can search Christ at Thirty-Three by Heinrich Hofmann) and we just have it in a simple frame. I also have pics of our cat on the chair staring at it as he does every night but I have no idea how to attach a pic w/o a url (a personal pic) When I pray I tend to look upwards at him and try to speak outloud most times (when hubby is gone) because I can focus better when I speak out loud to him. When we decided to follow Christ wholely we did not take it lightly. We mean for it to be our whole world. Before finding a church we watched youtubes of Perry Stone, Chuck Missler, Mark Virkler, Dave Geisel, Dave Wilkerson, Rob Skiba, etc. We still do to get every view and perspective and take what we learn from them and add it to what we learned on our own to make our own judgement. We never follow people like Joel Osteen or Jesse Duplantis, Creflo Dollar as they are actual scam artists who use people's faith to get rich. We tried a couple of different churches before deciding on the one we have decided to attend regularly (a Pentacostal). I mainly like how they praise God. I can feel his spirit in that church though I do not believe in speaking tongues or the power of everyone being able to heal (if that were so we'd allllllll be diciples). We feel no evil presence in our home and I seldom have asked for an actual guardian angel... but an angel to protect us and I ask God every single night to keep satan from our home and hearts and that our life is solely for him. The cat never seems freaked out or scared when he does this. He's calm and quiet. and again he only does it at night between 1015-11p so it's not about the colors otherwise he'd be doing this off and on all day.
  8. Well here's my story December of 2013 myself and my husband decided we wanted to follow Christ... to walk his path as best as we could (we both decided internally at the same time w/o saying anything to the other so obviously we were on the same wavelength :-) We stopped smoking (we were light smokers), stopped drinking (maybe twice a year a Beam and coke and margarita respectively LOL), threw out our porn, no more swearing, no more passing judgement (we are still working hard on this), attend church and pray several times daily. We also will be helping the unfortunate (though we ourselves are basically poor and I am disabled in a wheelchair we still have more than others). Boils down to we want Christ as our whole lives, we want to walk his path how he wants us to. About 2 to 2 1/2 mos ago I started asking for an angel to guard and protect us and our home (and those of our families) and my husband during his deep prayer time (in the mornings) he also asks for an angel. Not soon afterwards our cat started jumping on the chair you see in the picture and just stare very hard at the opposite wall of where he is looking at in the pic (to the left). He would just stare. No bugs, webs, hair, shadows, etc... we checked, wiped, etc. So we put it as God heard my prayer and sent us an angel because our cat does this almost every single night. Then about 1 1/2 mos ago we purchased the picture of Christ you see there in the pic. Not soon after our cat jumped on the chair and just stares at Christ's face. He is not looking at the glass or the frame or any shadows... the only reflection he could see (my husband checked lol) is the white of our ceiling. The thing is is he STARES! Some nights he switches sides, he will stare at the Angel in the opposing corner and then at Christ. Now here is the strange thing! Cat does this EVERY SINGLE NIGHT during the same time frame (1015-11p) which coincides w/my deep prayer time. I head to the bathroom (because it's a half bath and thus small and I close the door and it's dark and very quiet and peaceful there) He goes to the chair and does his staring when I am done w/my praying EVERY SINGLE NIGHT! Last night was the strangest. When I headed into the bathroom to pray he was sitting in his box sleeping. When I came out he was up and standing by the couch. He turned and looked at me and headed to that chair. My husband said as soon as I went into the bathroom for prayers cat went under the picture on the floor this time and stared up at it and did his whining meow. I rolled over to the bed (I'm disabled) and the cat jumped on the bed by me. We have a beautiful cross on our wall that says 'as for me and my house we will serve the Lord" Our cat has never paid it any mind but tonight he comes and sits next to me (I'm still in my wheelchair because he is sitting on my side of the bed) He is staring at the cross. Then his eyes keep flitting all over the place. They come back to the cross and he stares then eyes flit all over. He does this for a couple of minutes and then goes to the end of the bed and plops down and stretches out. I climb into bed and I start commenting to my husband how cute the cat looks stretched out there (he's a gorgeous blond Maine Coon) we are still just amazed at what we have been seeing. I can't remember what I say but all of a sudden the cat's head springs up and he stares at the cross, next thing we know he is jumping up and leaps to the couch and heads straight for the chair where he jumps up there and starts staring at Christ's face again He never just randomly heads there...No sniffing around or wandering... he always goes w/a purpose, especially last night. My friend from church says he is praying but my husband wonders if he can see a spiritual warfare going on and is watching it. We don't know but I do know that should the day he stops doing that I will get worried. I feel like the Lord has blessed us. We have tried getting video but because it only happens at night it's dark in that corner so my husband is going to put a gaming camera (w/infrared) there tonight to see if that will capture it. My husband has said he's woken up at 4-430a on some nights and the cat is still on that chair staring. We don't know if he got off at any time up to that point but he is apparently there periodically into the early morning hours. What are your thoughts? I get scared when husband mentions spiritual warfare because I feel like it might be for me as it's always after I pray and sometimes randomly I get very irritable w/o any sign. (and btw we were going to weeknight service last night and I was trying to get ready and just ready to scream at the drop of a hat because my hair wasnt' going right, my shoes were being butts. Kept telling my husband maybe God doesn't want me to go to church. I go to the door and open it to wheel myself out on the ramp. My husband comes out to get me down the ramp and closes the door behind him. I'm down the ramp and he goes to get the keyes to the car and the keys are locked in the house. We have no way of getting back in the house. Neither of us turned the little lock on the doorknob (I know I especially didn't) so we had to miss church while he drilled off the knob to get us back into the house and then change the lock out. by the time this is all done we are welllllllll past the start of the service :-( and it takes 25 mins to get there) (I need help on how to post the pic of the cat and the pic of Christ.. can anyone help?)
