  1. There really needs to be a groan option for voting.
  2. We had a chatter not so long ago threaten to have the Southern Poverty Law center designate us as a hate group.
  3. It says a lot that in the city I work in, a pastor of a local PC(USA) church is the county chair of the local Democratic Party. If there was a Presbyterian church connected the the more conservative Presbyterian Church in America in my area I would consider visiting, but wouldn't set foot in a PC(USA) service
  4. As someone who used to worship in the Presbyterian tradition as a member of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland it breaks my heart that PC(USA) are hurtling towards the edge of the cliff. Actually PCI are quite conservative, they even stopped sending a rep to the Church of Scotland general Assembly, because of the Church of Scotland's acceptance of same sex marriage, even though there is extremely strong historical links between the two denominations. If I still lived at home I would still be PCI.

  6. I like the BlueLetterBible website, for me it is a valuable resource. I do think it is very good that they mave made so much of the content free, as have other sites.
  7. With all due respect the Episcopal Church isn't exactly a bastion of orthodox doctrine.
  8. There are some great prayers in the Book of Common prayer, but it is not inspired
  9. No Anglican would say it is inspired. (I know several good Christian Anglicans.)
  10. I will not be able to get to it this year but thanks for looking it up.
  11. Oh by the way happy Colonial Treason day you Jumped up colonists (joke in case anyone if offended)
  12. I have a question, if you are near Torono do you know anything about the Orange parade, I am planning to go to it some time.
  13. I did see that post you are referring too. I thought the responses were very disappointing frankly. I am an immigrant to the US and love the country, but I also like Canada and a steadfast ally for both my homeland (UK/Northern Ireland) and my adopted land (USA). I would love to visit Newfoundland someday as it has very strong links to Ulster.
  14. I'm from the Protestant\unionists community in Northern Ireland. For many people from my community on July 1st we cast our minds back to our forefathers who faught at the Battle of the Somme in World War 1 the first day of which was on July 1st 1916, or the British Army.as part of the 36th Ulster Division. It is a very poignant day of the year for us. It is regarded as the bloodiest day in the history of the British Army, but the Ulstermen fought with extreme courage and was the only British division to achieve its objectives on the first day.
  15. I have seen the title "first lady" used in black churches. I have never seen it in a white church. Black church culture is a little different from non black church culture.
  16. That is actually a fair point. That said the poster may advocate that men wear a suit and tie to church, most KJV only legalists are like that.
  17. I live in Texas and I was getting ads to donate to Mr Ornoff on Facebook. It is obvious that the Democrats wanted to play up this race outside Georgia to make a national point that in more educated wealthier suburban districts the Democrats could be making inroads against the Republican. The see rural white Republicans as less educated rednecks obviously. While it is true that working class white voters have turned to Mr Trump and the Republican Party in great numbers in district like this business conservatism still has a place over middle class liberalism.
  18. This seems to be only a few franchises. If my local franchise did it I would boycott, but they are not. Not that I eat a lot of McDonald's anyway. Whataburger all the way!
  19. New Frontiers is Reformed cherismatic, Stuart Townend (who wrote In Christ Alone) is or was New Frontiers and his lyrics are quite calvinistic.
  20. A lot of gay people see Ellen as the point where public opinion turned towards them. In the UK the biggest soap Oprah had a transsexual character who went a long way in normalizing that in the UK. I believe tv follows, but also leads in the forming of public opinion.
  21. Bernie on steroids. Funnily enough it was was Labour who brought tuition fees in the first place.
  22. As a former DUP member and avid DUP supporter, I and a bigot a homophobe and a racist who hates women because I am against abortion. That what the signs the protester say outside Downing Street at the moment say anyway.
  23. While the question was primary directed to WoF proponents I think there has seen a lot of positive discussion on the issue from non WoF proponents.
