  1. Peter was human, just like Popes, and capable of making mistakes. The Pope is not infallible. The Pope is infallible with regards to doctrine. “Peter is at the center of every aspect of Jesus’ ministry,” Traylor says. “There are four major points of Peter’s ministry, beginning with his confession of Jesus as the son of the living God, then his denial of Christ when he looked at Christ in the courtyard and wept in repentance. He was the chief apostle, but his flesh was weak. He was human.” The third key point in Peter’s ministry was what Traylor calls Peter’s restoration. “That’s when Jesus says, ‘Feed my sheep,’” Traylor says, adding that the fourth is when he “opened up the Gospel,” meaning Peter opened his ministry to both Jews and Gentiles. “The last we hear from Peter in the Bible is as author of I and II Peter, which reveal him as a stable and mature disciple who is about to be martyred for his faith, as predicted by Christ,” - excerpt I believe St Peter was infallible with regards to doctrine from the point in time when the Lord Jesus Christ said, "Feed my sheep" and afterwards. Of course, the fullness of the Truth had not yet come in and that must be taken into account. He was infallible with regards to revealed Truth at the time. The fullness of the Truth has been revealed to us in this age Praise God. I have seen plenty of articles where popes said things that I consider to be errors, but never when they are speaking with regards to doctrine/dogma ("discovered truth"). I can testify that my spirit has not felt this good for as long as I can remember. Confession, Communion, and asking the saints and angels in Heaven (it should be noted that all of the Church is called "saints") to pray for me has helped me A LOT with a specific infirmity I have that is a very bad infirmity in my flesh. I know that they are really praying for me and Christ is hearing their prayers. Just a few days ago, I was leading people away from the Catholic Church. I have shed many tears about that, now that I know the truth of the matter. Pride comes before the fall. I shouldn't have spoken on what I did not know for certain. I hope no one perishes as a result, because if they do - their blood is on my hands and I will stand before the judgment seat of Christ. I know He can lead them back to His Church, so if you come to the Catholic Church, pray for me and the ones I lead astray please. What scares me the most is that I was telling people that anyone who simply believes in Jesus Christ will be saved, regardless of whether or not they pursue holiness and avoid mortal sin. I was telling people that even if they didn't draw near to Him and obey Him, they would still be saved even if they lived carnally and sowed in the flesh instead of the Spirit. I was confused. The Church teaches that the more we sow in the Spirit, the more we will feel God and the more we will avoid both venial and mortal sins. I see that this is true. The Church teaches that we are saved by grace through faith, btw. It is not a works salvation. Works are the inevitable result of sowing in the Spirit. I know this is true. I feel much closer to God now than a few days ago. God has given me much grace in the past few days. Christ have mercy on us all. Mother of God, pray for us now and at the hour of our deaths. Lord Jesus, please guide us into all truth, save us from the fires of Hell, and lead us all to Heaven, especially those of us in most need of your mercy. Mother of God, I appeal to your perfect heart, please ask our Lord Jesus Christ who you watched die on the Cross to save everyone on this message board. Lord Jesus, I know you are able to. Please let your grace abound Lord. I appeal to your perfect heart. Please Lord
  2. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Seems straightforward enough. I never debated this even when I was a protestant. It is pretty clear that He meant He was going to build His Church on Peter. No one has been able to offer an explanation for Malachi 1:11 except Alejandro, and this explanation does not convince me. Can anyone identify the sacrifice in Malachi 1:11's prophecy if it is not the Eucharist? For from the rising of the sun even to the going down, my name is great among the Gentiles, and in every place there is sacrifice, and there is offered to my name a clean oblation: for my name is great among the Gentiles, saith the Lord of hosts. What could it be but the RC Church's offering of Christ?
  3. As one of those Evangelical Christians I can tell you that the practice of praying to the Virgin Mary is idolatry. Catholics DO pray to Mary and display statues of her in their homes and churches. This is not conjecture or opinion; it's the hard, cold, unvarnished truth which I have observed with my own eyes. The Catholic Church teaches that Christ is the HEAD of the Church. The Head of the Body. Not the Pope, in the sense that is portrayed here. The Pope is the Vicar of Christ (His representative, similar to how St. Peter was) WHEN speaking to DOCTRINAL issues only. In that sense, he is at the top of the hierarchy of the Church on Earth (the head). He has not replaced Christ as the Head of the Body though. The teaching on purgatory is simply that souls who are in a state of grace (as opposed to a state of mortal sin), but still not purified of all sin (the Catholic Church teaches we can be completely purified of all sin before leaving this Earth), will be purified in purgatory. The Church does not teach whether or not there is suffering in purgatory (officially anyways). The Church teaches that sin corrupts the soul, and that the soul must be purified. Either in this life or before entering Heaven. It is hard to understand what evangelicals believe without understanding what Catholics believe - seeing as the protestant churches all split from the Catholic Church. The question then becomes "what doctrine did they change." The foundation is still the teachings of the Catholic Church. It is a matter of what was chipped away. In essence, most protestants teach that the Bible is the Word of God and that the Holy Spirit interprets it for each individual. This argument becomes difficult when you realize thousands of different denominations say that, and they all tend to disagree with one another. Catholics do pray to the Mother of God, along with angels and other Saints. However, we ask them to pray for us to Christ - knowing that He hears their prayers for us. Idolatry is to WORSHIP a false god. We do not worship anyone but the One True God, the Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit
  4. We should keep in mind that eternity, and in my strong belief - a long stay in purgatory without special graces AT THE LEAST, is at stake. Look at the context. KJV The Polluted Offerings 6A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name? 7Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD is contemptible.8And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts. 9And now, I pray you, beseech God that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith the LORD of hosts. 10Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nought? neither do ye kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand. 11For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts. 12But ye have profaned it, in that ye say, The table of the LORD is polluted; and the fruit thereof, even his meat, is contemptible. 13Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness is it! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the LORD of hosts; and ye brought that which was torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should I accept this of your hand? saith the LORD. 14But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, saith the LORD of hosts, and my nameis dreadful among the heathen. Catholic Bible 6The son honoureth the father, and the servant his master: if then I be a father, where is my honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the Lord of hosts. 7To you, O priests, that despise my name, and have said: Wherein have we despised thy name? You offer polluted bread upon my altar, and you say: Wherein have we polluted thee? In that you say: The table of the Lord is contemptible.8If you offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if you offer the lame and the sick, is it not evil? offer it to thy prince, if he will be pleased with it, or if he will regard thy face, saith the Lord of hosts.9And now beseech ye the face of God, that he may have mercy on you, (for by your hand hath this been done,) if by any means he will receive your faces, saith the Lord of hosts. 10Who is there among you, that will shut the doors, and will kindle the fire on my altar gratis? I have no pleasure in you, saith the Lord of hosts: and I will not receive a gift of your hand. 11For from the rising of the sun even to the going down, my name is great among the Gentiles, and in every place there is sacrifice, and there is offered to my name a clean oblation: for my name is great among the Gentiles, saith the Lord of hosts. 12And you have profaned it in that you say: The table of the Lord is defiled: and that which is laid thereupon is contemptible with the fire that devoureth it. 13And you have said: Behold of our labour, and you puffed it away, saith the Lord of hosts, and you brought in of rapine the lame, and the sick, and brought in an offering: shall I accept it at your hands, saith the Lord? 14Cursed is the deceitful man that hath in his flock a male, and making a vow offereth in sacrifice that which is feeble to the Lord: for I am a great King, saith the Lord of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the Gentiles. We see that the context is with regards to sacrifices on the altar. Wouldn't it be logical to conclude the sacrifice is a literal sacrifice on an altar in the prophecy as well? Christ have mercy
  5. Yes Jesus is the LORD of hosts But how can Malachi 1:11 be fulfilled without the RCC? What other way could a sacrifice be offered to the LORD in all the gentile nations? Douay-Rheims Bible For from the rising of the sun even to the going down, my name is great among the Gentiles, and in every place there is sacrifice, and there is offered to my name a clean oblation: for my name is great among the Gentiles, saith the Lord of hosts. King James Bible For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts. The only way for this prophecy to have been fulfilled is in the Roman Catholic Church. In every place there is a sacrifice offered. 1 Corinthians 11:29 Douay-Rheims Bible For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Lord. King James Bible For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. Your response was: Jesus Is The LORD Of Hosts, The LORD Of Armies~! Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts. Jeremiah 15:16 His Name And His Word Is Above All I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word. There is no debating that He is the LORD of hosts. "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is real food, and my blood is real drink. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me. This is the bread which came down from heaven, not such as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live forever" (John 6:53–58). This is the only possible explanation for these passages. The sacrifice in Malachi 1:11 is the Eucharist. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Lord. 1 Corinthians 11:29 shows we can not eat and drink the LORD's body and blood while in a state of mortal sin. We have to be in a state of grace. Literal Devils actually tried to stop me from getting Communion today. They even made the statue of Jesus on the Cross shake its head "no," trying to convince me I was not in a state of grace. Your enemy is real. The devil and his angels do not want us in a state of grace when we die, because they want us in hell with them. Why else would they be accusing us? If faith in Christ is the only requirement for salvation, and mortal sin does not separate us from God's saving grace, what is Satan doing accusing us? God bound Salvation to His Sacraments, but He Himself is not bound by His Sacraments. I'm not saying all protestants are going to Hell. I'm saying Christ wants you in His Church. The RC Church is God's Church. It is all real. Do as you will with the posts.
  6. It could go further. Someone who reads the Scripture but doesn't try to figure out what God means. For instance, someone who is trying to use the Scriptures to win an election. Proverbs 26:15 reiterates this. In both contexts, we find a common theme. 12Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him. 13The slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets. 14As the door turneth upon his hinges, so doth the slothful upon his bed. 15The slothful hideth his hand in his bosom; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth. 16The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason. 19A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver him, yet thou must do it again. 20Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. 21There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand. 22The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar. 23The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil. 24A slothful man hideth his hand in his bosom, and will not so much as bring it to his mouth again. 25Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge. 26He that wasteth his father, and chaseth away his mother, is a son that causeth shame, and bringeth reproach. 27Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge. 28An ungodly witness scorneth judgment: and the mouth of the wicked devoureth iniquity. 29Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools. Both contexts show that this passage is not so much about a person being "lazy" but about a person who will not receive instruction in godliness for the sake of godliness. Being wise in our own eyes, we become fools. Even if we read the Word of God, we will not bring it back to our mouth. We have all been guilty of this. I'd be a liar if I said I have not been a fool. I would be a fool if I said I have not been a liar. Have you ever seen a Republican try to use the Bible to explain why poor people need to work harder and work more hours? Or someone manage to use Scripture to explain why giving food to homeless people is wrong? Ironically, that seems to be who this passage is talking about. They have their hand IN THE BOWL and will not even bring it back to their mouth (eat the spiritual food). True wisdom has 2 sides.
  7. Then is there a difference between not perishing and inheriting? We will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. There are 2 judgments. GWT is for those who deny the Son of God. God the Father sanctifies us. We don't sanctify ourselves: Jude 1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called: We all do what we would not do Romans 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Every one of us errs every day and sows in the flesh. The only reason we even WANT to obey God is because of HIS sanctifying work. When we believed in His Son, He gave us of His own Spirit. Does everyone who is saved INHERIT the Kingdom of God? As in, become co-heirs with Christ? Or are some just saved? We know that most of the world is perishing. Is most of the church perishing too? Most people who believe in Jesus are not even really trying to obey Him (sow in the Spirit) from the way it appears. Especially teenagers. It's not that they don't WANT to obey Him, in Spirit and in Truth. It's that we are constantly tricked by our enemy! We have literal evil spirits deceiving us every day. We get tricked into not trying to obey Him. We get confused, we fall in pits. According to John 3:16, none of us will be condemned. God also said: Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. Make no mistake, God wants us to sow in the Spirit and be Holy, and even gave us of His own Spirit. That is His will. Romans 7:19 shows us our error: that is that we do not do what we would do and we do what we would not do. We can not escape this error in this life. God's Son died for all of our sins. I just see how God worded John 3:16 and I see that, one way or the other - and there is only one Way (faith in Jesus Christ and His Blood), everyone who confesses with their mouth and believes with their heart - everyone who truly believes God sent His only Son to save us - is saved. That includes people who do evil every day of their lives. I still do evil every day of my life, in fact I break the greatest commandment every day and there is nothing I can do to change that fact. Who loves God with their whole heart every second of every day? To not do so is to sin and break the GREATEST commandment. Don't get me wrong, I'm not looking for a way to turn God's grace into an excuse for me to sin. I'm acknowledging that we all do evil. Part of our armor is the HELMET OF SALVATION. It is important for people to KNOW they are saved. Not THINK they MIGHT be. KNOW. If we don't KNOW we are saved, the enemy has an opportunity.
  8. wrt the devil's angels, They do not manifest physically anymore. Some of them did. This is what happened: I'm going to post the whole passage and bold the part about the devil's angels that left their estate because it is an important passage for anyone who encounters them. Do not ever revile them. 3Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. 4For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. 5I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. 6And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. 7Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. 8Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. 9Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. 10But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.11Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. 12These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; 13Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. 14And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, 15To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. 16These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage. Notice how it is connected to Sodom and Gomorrah. This ties into the nephillim. So, the ones that are left here on Earth are SPIRITS. They don't have wings or fangs in OUR 3 dimensions, although they could have them for all I know. They can project images into your mind (and they can hear your thoughts and manipulate your thoughts too). You probably saw what they projected into your mind.
  9. Don't pentecostals teach that people who don't speak in tongues are not saved, or that speaking in tongues is the sign of salvation? WOF teaches that we are literally Christ reincarnated and that we speak things into existence. That is surely heresy. I think John, Peter, Paul, or Jesus Christ our Lord would have had something to say about that if it were true. God hates it when His creations claim to be Him! Good thing He is merciful and paid for us with His Blood. Everyone who believes in Him has been assured of Salvation!

    Salvation

16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Is this an absolute statement? It seems like everyone is saying everyone else is going to Hell. Catholics say there is no salvation outside of the RC Church. Many say that those who think they have to have good works along with faith are going to Hell because they don't put "all their faith in Jesus." Others say that anyone without good works is going to Hell because of X passage. But all of these people believe in Jesus Christ. I know of the sanctification God gives. That is not what I'm asking. What I am asking is: Is this an absolute statement? For instance: Someone who was my best friend growing up was born in Detroit, sold drugs, lied, fornicated, etc etc... He got hit in the head by a stray bullet right before highschool graduation. He believed Jesus Christ is God's Son. It seems MOST people would say, if not outright - in their doctrine, that he is in eternal fire. Here is what I recognize. We have a greatest commandment. 34But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.35Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, 36Master, whichis the great commandment in the law? 37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Who keeps this commandment every day? I don't think anyone on Earth does. At judgment, we have to render an account for every idle word. Jesus said judge not lest ye be judged. We will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. God's Spirit makes us desire holiness and wars against our flesh. I'm not saying we should not be holy. Is John 3:16 an absolute, definitive statement on salvation made directly by God? He didn't say "whoever believes in Him is not condemned IF..." He reiterated this quite a few times in His Word. I constantly hear people in debates etc saying that everyone who has (insert false or true doctrine here) belief is going to Hell. I'm left in the situation where it often seems that the only one who is telling me I'm not going to Hell for messing up is God in John 3:16. He said His Blood paid for all my sins and His Spirit wars against my flesh. I haven't kept this commandment for a single day of my life. I have tried and failed. I'm breaking the greatest commandment every day of my life and there is nothing I can do about it. Does John 3:16 still apply to me? Sometimes I start to doubt that I can get to Heaven if I don't do enough good works. I still believe in God's Son, but I just believe that a certain level of holiness is necessary - in those moments. Other times I remember that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Either I am continually passing between a state of being saved and being damned, or I am always saved. Jesus Christ paid for me and is exalted above all other names. His very Spirit, the same Spirit who lives in me, is the same PERSON who WROTE John 3:16. Then there are the doubts "but....what....if.... and every "but, what, if" is the same question in essence...."what if John 3:16 is not a literal, final, definitive statement on Salvation straight from the mouth of God Almighty HIMSELF?" I wrestle those doubts every day of my life. Similar to how I wrestle with keeping the greatest commandment every day of my wretched life. Is John 3:16 a final, definitive, completely literal statement straight from God? And if not, why didn't God say "if..."
  11. It is much deeper than that. God is not teaching us a lesson here. The world is being condemned. We have been saved out of the world by Jesus Christ. Many people think God is teaching us a lesson in this world. God HATES the wickedness in this world. The only lesson I have learned is that I hate it when God's will is not done and love it when His will IS done. God's will is not done in this world. This is not a school. It is a war. Souls are on the line. We overcome by 7And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.12Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
  12. I think I have seen them and not known it was them. Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. It is not about chances. Moses went up to mount Sinai because God wanted him to. Jesus is God and talked with Elijah and Moses on a mountain because He wanted to. Remember how He was transfigured? There seems to be two ways of seeing angels. When they appear as they are, I'm sure they are very frightening to us. They are spirits of peace (God gives a Spirit of peace), but they have GREAT power from Jesus Christ - the one who made the whole UNIVERSE. I also know that sometimes they do not manifest physically when they are around. Don't forget that they ARE spirits and not flesh and blood. 1He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. 9Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; 10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. 13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. 14Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. Psalm 91 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? Hebrews 1:14 I know they have saved my life before! They serve Jesus Christ. Some of them rebelled. God destroyed Satan on the Cross (even though Satan still roams). Why did He have to be tempted and die for us in order to destroy Satan? The Word of God does not fully explain this to my knowledge, but God IS all-powerful. Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; This one, Satan, used to be an angel in the presence of God. God is love. God can do ANYTHING. I won't lean to my own understanding, but I can't wait until everything that is hidden is revealed. Many people ask the question, why would Satan even try? Well, he did and this was the result. More importantly, I can't wait until God is all in all. 12How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. 13Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 14Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. 16By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. 17Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. 18Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. 19All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and nevershalt thou be any more. In both cases, Satan is described as the spirit behind great rulers of nations. Look at this - angels ministered to Jesus after His temptations: There are 2 accounts Luke 1And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,2Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. 3And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. 4And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. 5And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. 7If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.8And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. 9And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: 10For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: 11And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 12And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 13And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. Matthew 1Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 2And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 3And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. 5Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 7Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 8Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. 11Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him. Notice how an angel that used to serve HIM was the one tempting Him in the wilderness. After that, HIS angels ministered to Him. Think about who was being tempted here. Satan was tempting GOD HIMSELF. This spiritual war we are in is much deeper than we understand. Most people completely ignore it and just live carnally. Satan said all the kingdoms of the world are delivered into his hands. God said He will send angels from Heaven to minister to us in this cursed world.
  13. I have a flip phone but I can borrow a smart phone. I guess I will just have to mapquest until I get a GPS and then hope I can program multiple destinations in the GPS. I'm ignorant wrt technology, which is why I'm asking. Jesus Christ will provide what I need. God listens and eternal life is real! So is our enemy. Peace in Christ
  14. I have been doing that (just driving around), but there are so many churches that I need to do something like program a GPS to direct me to every church in an area. I don't have a GPS yet but I'm getting one. I was hoping there would be some kind of app I could program to give me directions to every church in an area. I need to be diligent and make sure I don't miss any churches. This all started way before Jesus Christ gave me sight to see them. I could see the light they flash (they flash a blueish light sometimes) but I couldn't see them in the air. After they tricked me more times than I can remember, and Christ got me out of their traps every time, God gave me sight to see them. In the air, they look like...it's almost like seeing the heat that comes off a fire (that is the closest thing I can think of, but it's not quite what they look like). When I get close to them, they speak to me. It makes this job a bit of a burden, but God makes it easy for me. Then there is one that follows me everywhere trying to trick me. This one seems different though. I think there is in fact a difference between demons and fallen angels. I can't do anything about this one (God spoke to me and said His grace is sufficient, similar to Paul's thorn). They are in just about every building I go into until I cast them out, houses included. I encounter their influence on message boards. People have them in their houses and don't know it. Our battle is in fact against them. They have different ranks. There was a time when I could only cast some of them out. After prayer and a partial fast, I was able to cast the ones out that I could not before. I won't talk about most of the experiences I have had because you are better off being ignorant of evil. As I mentioned before, there was one church that surprised me. They pray over the chairs people sit in, and there were no demons where the chairs were. In this world, it is surprising to NOT see them. They tend to be in every last building and fill up the whole building. For quite a while, I could see them in my house and I could not cast them out. I cast some out and more came back that I could not cast out. You should all pray for your houses every day. They are spirits of confusion. Ever have your thoughts go like this: "This is the truth" "That is the truth" "This is the truth" That is the truth" Back and forth. One thing and then the opposite. "Ok" "Alright" ????? They are spirits of "?" confusion. That's them. I'll post more later. Thanks for the advice everyone! 10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: - Ephesians 6 John 3:16 16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. Peace and grace to you in the Lord Jesus Christ
