As a former atheist myself, I'll offer 'seekers' a youtube clip in which the speaker is also a former atheist. She happens to explain why I thought I was an atheist, and why I realized I was wrong. Hope it helps someone as it helped me.
(Don't know if I'd convert to Catholicism in the future, I'm not so concerned about what denomination I should belong to at this point. All I'm interested in right now is to study the scriptures.)
