  1. well, I did not read the entire thread so missed that anyway, I don't know if Jesus almost died from blood loss alone...but apparently that was not God's plan...apparently He gave His life thanks
  2. I am under the impression that Jesus actually gave up His life? when He said 'it is finished'...bowed His head and died OT prophecy states none of His bones were broken..as per the 2 thieves who were not dead and had their bones broken, but when they came to Jesus He was already dead I think it is important to make note that He gave up His life...not that He died because of the 40 lashes what do you think regarding this? thanks
  3. not sure where you got those ideas from maybe too much analysis of what I wrote I have a good grip on what the book says...apart from all the University psych classes I took you have misunderstood what I wrote perhaps it's the lag time...I have noticed threads in this forum really move sloooooow
  4. I really like what you said here and agree with regards to the word transgression just remembered what God said to the Israelites about not moving boundary stones...physical application with a spiritual overtone
  5. haha I heard a bad joke about that marriage is like flies on a screen door...the ones on the outside want to get in and the ones on the inside want to get out!
  6. Have I or do I try to control others? frankly I think everyone does that to different extents short answer: I would not have bought the book if I thought I did LOL! I think we probably all try to control the space around ourselves..boundaries, the book, is about controlling everyone elses' space people control through intimidation, manipulation and downright in your face threats, anger, sometimes physical abuse, emotional and so on we probably all have experienced some of that to one degree or another
  7. I'm not on alot, so sorry about the time lag for response. Searching through the drawers of other people, looking through belongings for something to gain information, saying things that are controlling like "God told me to tell you" or 'God is not pleased with you. You need to repent" Disrespecting the choices made and overiding them...anything that exerts control. You should not be controlling other people Well I would say the book is for everyone in my opinion, but it's not for people who like to control unless they desire to stop what they are doing Boundaries are normal...even God gives us free choice...when someone crosses the line, they can even take the place of God in a person's life by controlling and disapproving things all supposedly because it would not please God when in truth, it does not suit the purposes of the person doing the controlling
  8. I have that book. Have not read it from cover to cover and bought it because a family member has no boundaries lol! I think it is a really good book but maybe not for everyone. and no, boundaries are not selfish!
  9. sorry was just getting interesting for me
  10. Getting pretty bold to name a show after himself IMO Won't be watching it
  11. no in fact, I am no longer confused about the posts thanks
  12. Because it's the question and answer forum? and I ask if I am not sure?
  13. you don't believe Jesus is God? so you don't believe in the Trinity? so what do you believe...pardon me if I am overstepping..just trying to get to know people here thanks!
  14. To be clear. the second post is mine...no really! for example, when a person in scripture says..'I believe...help my unbelief' that could be me, but at the same time I totally believe The example of the Israelites being led in the wilderness is so often used as a kind of 'don't be like them' example..but I think we..me...are I might be getting philosophical now, but I like to look at things from different angles
