  1. We've only had DialMyCalls' service for a short time. Already used it for rain cancellations and event reminders. Its great and everyone seems to like the service too. Win...Win...
  2. kwikphilly, We are in FL too. Last year we canceled service one time due to Hurricane warnings and another time because the a/c wasn't working. Our church isn't mega big but the congregants sure appreciate getting the call or text so they don't get all ready for service and travel only to find out service was canceled. That is why we started looking into this service. We had another provider but their pricing got out of control. DialMyCalls gave us a non profit discount and offered us 7 days a week customer support. So far we are very happy. We are going to give it one more month. After that, we are going to remit payment for the full year so this will be one more concern under control soon. We've also used the other service provider to remind our members of a yearly picnic we have. Everyone seems to like the reminder and update calls. Some prefer texts so we have the ability to do that too.
  3. Thanks so much for all the responses and help. We ended up trying out a system called DialMyCalls. So far so good, working great. We can send calls and text messages out to everyone at the same time and pretty quickly too.
  4. Such nice responses. It is great to see all the responses of comfort. Fear is not from God. Don't let fear tear you apart, pray instead. God Bless.
  5. Congratulations, you quit smoking!!! The best thing you did for yourself. Try sucking on a lollypop. I have never been a smoker and I thank God for not giving me that addiction. My dad smoked for as long as I can remember from morning till night. He finally passed away from lung cancer. A dreadful disease. He lived until he was 74 years old. Not bad for a chain smoker who started at about 12 years old or so. He started back in the day when there weren't any filters on cigarettes. However, after being diagnosed with lung cancer, his life just dwindled away. I prefer to remember him with his curly dark hair and smiley face. Too bad back then (before the addiction started) no one knew what they were doing to their body. God Bless.
  6. Thank you for the input. I am looking into some mass notification systems and I will post them once I have the best service narrowed down.
  7. That is exactly the issue. If some are not notified, they travel out in the nasty weather for a service that has been canceled. I have noticed lately that some churches, schools especially delay the service or class instead of canceling it. Its best for everyone to stay off the road when there is inclement weather and poor driving conditions. The cities actually advise that people stay off the roads so the plows can get through too.
  8. Thank you for the responses. I will followup with all when I have more information on this topic.
  9. Don't forget Mother's Day is May 8th! Its early this year so don't forget MOM!!! All moms, grandma's and all the special women in your life will appreciate your thoughtfulness on this special day which celebrates WOMEN.
  10. Excellent - Faith isn't faith until it's all your holding on to.
  11. How can people question the Bible? It is God's word.

  13. Have you suggested maybe a simple walk together in the evening after dinner? It sounds like your husband may be depressed or even bored. Its work but try to be creative and find simple things the two of you can do together.
  14. I am hoping for the best with your marriage.
  15. Hello Everyone. What communication tools does your church use to keep congregants informed? What if service was canceled due to weather or a heating/cooling system failure? Or any other issue? How would your Pastor/Minister let all the people know so they didn't head out for service, when its been delayed, postponed or canceled? What if there was an emergency at your church? How would congregants be notified of the emergency? Many people would be involved. How would your Pastor/Minister notify them all at the same time?
