  1. You can omit the honey as it's high in sugar and use the artificial stuff instead, but I thought you'd want to keep it natural.  Isn't maple syrup just as high in sugar? Also, do use the real stuff?

I've always seen xanthum gum listed in store bought products, but never knew what it was for.  Again, if you wanna keep natural, I'd stick with the banana and oats.  They both help with the thick and smooth part.

I'll fly in to CA and we can experiment with different ingredients to perfect the shake/smoothie.  We'll have them for breakfast, lunch and dinner. (I'll provide the laxatives, if needed.)

Or you could try making it yourself , hardly cost anything :)

I could, but I'm usually too lazy for such things.  When I do get an itch for making something, it's usually sweet, solid food.

The most I can be bothered with as far as liquid goes is adding my cocoa powder and artificial sweetener mix to milk.

I'll just bum a sip from one of your batches.

Hi West, if it ferments too much it will taste like vinegar,I guess it will turn into vinegar, the one you bought was probably too old and therefore too fermented :(

I had no idea that age mattered that much.  I know absolutely nothing about kombucha except what I've read here.  Just though I'd give it a try because it was a good price and how great it was.  It was supposed to have a lemonade like flavor to it.

If I ever feel like digging that deep in my pocket, I might purchase a fresh one in the future.

:24: I was like what in the world is Nutraloaf....and it does look like it sort of, but If you're good at seasoning beans/legumes it should come out much tastier.

I'll try to keep that in mind when I'm eating it; that it's just seasoned lentils and not something that includes everything but the kitchen sink.
