  1. Above all, you’re to be commended for confessing the truth with him. That took a great deal of humility and courage on your part, Amanda. I feel the best way to deal with this is to go for Christian marriage counseling together. It may take a while to see the change, but I suggest you to hold on to Christ during this time. I really hope things will get better with you and your husband soon. Praying for you – I Peter 5:7 - "Cast all your anxiety on Him, for He cares for you." Hugs!
  2. I appreciate your desire to honor God in your relationship. I think it would be a good idea if you can sit down with your girlfriend and talk to her to express your concerns, beliefs, and expectations. May be this can be helpful in setting appropriate boundaries -- Communication is the key! I will certainly be praying for you, asking that the Lord will speak directly to your heart about this matter and that you will be enabled to obey His commandments out of a heightened awareness of His love. Blessings!
  3. I think it would be a good idea if you can listen to online sermons, gospel songs or even listen to broadcasts that are available through many good Christian apps in order to strengthen your faith in Christ. I will definitely be praying for you, asking the Lord to draw you into a personal relationship with Himself and lead you in the days ahead. Blessings!
  4. I am so sorry to hear about the pain in your marriage, sister. You’re definitely travelling a challenging road, and I so wish I could give you a hug. Communication is important in a marriage, and so I encourage you to talk to your husband and let him know that you’re hurting – may be it can help. Also, seek marriage counseling before giving up. I just said a prayer for you and your children. Do take care of yourself, okay? Hugs
  5. Awww.. I can only imagine what you must be going through right now. I will continue to pray for you, Leerah. Stay strong, and do take care of yourself, as well. Hugs
  6. A Woman After God's Own Heart by Elizabeth George is a good read, as well. I hope you will find it helpful, too. Bless you
  7. I know how difficult this situation this must be for you, Sight, and I am sorry to hear about it. I encourage you to lay your situation before the Lord in prayer, opening your heart to Him as honestly and straightforwardly as you can. And, remember the words of the man who brought his epileptic son to Jesus for healing: "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!" (Mark 9:24). Christ honored that tortured cry of faith, small and weak as it was. I believe He'll do the same for you. I just said a prayer for you, and I really hope you will feel better soon. Good luck.
  8. I am sorry that you’re feeling that way, Leerah. I want to encourage you to keep on praying about this situation, even though it may feel like God isn’t listening. Every Christian has been through times when it seems as though their prayers aren’t doing much good. Be assured, however, that God hears your prayers and cares about you, as we read in the first part of I Peter 3:12. Also, have you considered talking to a trusted Christian adult or your pastor about this? They may be in a position to help you in your spiritual journey in a more personal way. I just said a prayer for you. Blessings!
  9. I understand that sometimes you may feel distant from God – almost as if He left you. Maybe you will find it comforting to know that nearly all believers go through these kinds of “valleys” from time to time. Remember, because we’re human, there will always be times when we fall short of God’s standards. That’s when you need to realize that the blood of Jesus can, and will, cleanse you from any sin. May Jeremiah 29-13 and Hebrews 13:5 be comforting to you. Cheer up, brother!
  10. I look up to the following verses when I am in hurting or in trouble – I hope you will be encouraged, as well: Nahum 1:7 - "The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him." Psalm 34:4 - "I sought the Lord, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears." Psalm 34:18 - "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Philippians 4:6 - "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Psalm 111:5 - "He provides for those who fear Him; He remembers His covenant forever."
