  1. Whether we like it or not, every saved, born-again Christian will have to go through a certain amount of trials and tribulations as we go through this life. The question is will we make it through or not ( 1Peter 4: 12,16, 19 ). With the help of the Holy Spirit ( John 14: 26 ) , were going to try and understand why we must go through these trials and tribulations and how the Lord helps us overcome them ( John 16:33 ; Acts 14:22 ; and Psalms 34:19 ). There is basically 3 main reasons why each Christian has to face a certain amount of trials and tribulations. ( Romans 12:12 ). The first one most Christians are familiar with so were not going to spend a whole lot of time here. When Adam and Eve both disobeyed God's command not to eat of the Tree of Good and Evil sin entered creation ( Gen. 3: 17-19 ). Because of there actions everyone born after them would now have to go through trials and tribulations ( 1Peter 1: 6-7 and John 16:33 ). The second and God's highest way He sends trials and tribulations into our lives is for our Sanctification ( John 17: 17-49 ). The Lord wants to set us apart to become a more Holy people and to transform us into the express image of our Savior Jesus Christ the Lord. He wants to mold, shape, and transform us into a righteous and Holy people , but this transformation process can and will be a very painful process at times. Adversity seems to have a way of humbling us. This sanctification process will either help us to spiritually mature and to grow in the Lord or cause some of us to throw in the towel and quit ( James 1:2 ; Romans 5:3 ; 2 Cor. 4:16 ; 2 Cor. 12:9 ). I'm not going to list all the positive and negative things the Lord wants to put and take out of us, just a few to help us understand better. Positive: boldness, patience, steadfastness, humility, self control, compassion, increase our faith and trust in Him. Negative: pride, self centered, bad tempers, Know it all, judgemental, and critical attitudes, jealousy, and gossip. The third reason God allows trials and tribulations to come into our lives is for the express purpose of testing our faith in Him ( Psalms 11:5 ; Job 23:10 ; Isaiah 48:10 and Proverbs 17:3 ). It's easy to have faith in the Lord when things are going great. When trials and tribulations comes are way, sadly some Christians turn away from God when they should be holding on to Him as tightly as they can ( Rom. 8:39 ). We can keep a lot of unnecessary trials and tribulations from ever coming our way if we would just enter into a full surrender to the Lord and obey Him, no matter what. Then all the trials and tribulations that comes are way will come for our spiritual growth in the Lord-as hard as this fact is ( Psalm 34:19 and 1 Peter 1:6, 9 ). I don't know anyone who enjoys trials and tribulations, including me, but over the course of 45 years the Holy Spirit has shown me several reasons why we go through them. He has shown me that some of the trials and tribulations that I went through not only helped my spiritual growth, but gave me a much better understanding of who I was in Jesus Christ our Lord ( John 16: 12-15 ). He has shown me that on several occasions He has elevated me to a new level of His calling of me to preach and teach His Word according to His will ( Isaiah 61:1 and Romans 10:15 ). My prayer for all of you is that the Holy Spirit will give you a better understanding of your trials and tribulations. He has also PROMISED to give us a way out of them all ( 1 Corinthians 10 : 13 ). May the Lord our God be given all the praise and glory forever. Amen and Amen Your brother in Christ the Lord

  5. Precious Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus , I ask that you open the hearts and minds of all that wants to understand and hear what You are saying to them. I also ask that you hide me in the palms of your hands so that men will see that I'm just a vessel that you use for the glory of Jesus Christ our Lord , Amen. Hearing the Holy Spirit speak is something that doesn't happen over night. It's going to cost you something and sadly this is where most Christians draw the line. They don't want to take a little bit of time each day to learn how to hear the Holy Spirit speak to them. They're to busy with worldly desires and pleasures. As I explained, it's going to take time to discern the voice of the Holy Spirit and it's going to take a humble spirit ( Jer. 29: 12-13 ) Based on Bible Scripture were going to learn some of the ways the Holy Spirit speaks to us. ( John 16: 13-14 ). We already have the Holy Spirit living inside of us once we become saved , so the rest is up to us. Most of the time the Holy Spirit speaks to us through Scripture. By reading and studying the Bible your spirit retains all the Scripture verses you are reading. Sometimes as your reading a particular verse or verses the scripture becomes alive. The Holy Spirit illuminates your understanding and you know, that you know, and you don't need anyone to tell you what it means. Also as your spirit retains God's Word the Holy Spirit will reveal a certain scripture that you might have forgotten , maybe years ago, to help you when you are having problems in a certain area of your life ( 2Tim. 2:15 ). God has made all of us in a unique way. Each of us must listen to God in the way that He chooses to deal with us. One of those ways is known as the inner witness or the inner knowing ( Proverbs 20:27 ). This is the Lord speaking to us through our conscience, check in your spirit, a leading, or a quickening ( Rom. 8:16 and Rom. 9:1 ). When the Holy Spirit speaks to you it will be a strong inner knowing. Suddenly you receive a supernatural illumination, an enlightment, of what a scripture means or how the Holy Spirit is trying to help you with a problem . It will be as the old expression goes, I know, that I know, that I know, without a shadow of a doubt or I've got a gut felling to do something or not to do something. In addition to receiving a direct message from the Lord, the Holy Spirit can lead us a certain way. This is commonly referred to as a prompting or unction. We feel or sense that the Holy Spirit is gently nudging us to do something. Sometimes we can also feel a very strong unction or prompting from the Lord as He leads us to go in one direction or another ( Matt. 4:1 ) ; ( Rom. 8:14 ). Just as the Holy Spirit leads us in a certain direction, He can also do the opposite. When we pick up on this from the Holy Spirit , it's generally known as a check in your spirit. This is like a stop sign. The Lord is telling us not to go down that path. These checks keeps us from making all kinds of mistakes in this life. A good example of receiving a check in your spirit can be found in ( Acts 16: 16-67 ). I know that most of you are familiar with the term a quickening from the Holy Spirit. A quickening is when the Holy Spirit causes something to jump out at you. You maybe reading the Bible and suddenly a verse or verses will seem like they jump off of the pages and you get a supernatural understanding of what the Holy Spirit is conveying to you. The Holy Spirit sometimes will use preachers, small study groups, worship songs, and even the things God created on the Earth to say something to us. We must remember, not to go looking for these quickening, but to let the Holy Spirit give them to you according to His will ( Heb. 4: 12 ) There are moments throughout the day when the Holy Spirit is speaking to us through our conscience, or mind. To be able to hear and understand is by practicing, by reason of use. In other words the Holy Spirit will put something good into your mind that you normally wouldn't conjure up yourself ( Rom. 9:1 ). This is where your faith comes in to play ( 2 Cor. 5:7 ; Gal. 2:20 ; Heb. 10:38 ; Heb. 11:6 ; and 2 Peter 1:5 ). Stepping out in faith when the Holy Spirit speaks is like when we first learned to walk, ride a bicycle, or drive a car. If we make a mistake the Lord isn't going to punish us. He simply picks us up, dusts us off, and says no my child this is the way to go ( Matt. 11:29 and Psalms 37: 23-24 ). Brothers and Sisters, I pray that all of you will seek the Holy Spirit to help you. Our Lord Jesus said, that He will ask the Father, and He will send the Holy Spirit to us ( John 16: 13-14 ). The Holy Spirit is waiting for you with open arms. Salvation isn't all there is to serving the Lord. If you don't seek Him you will never know the love, joy, happiness, peace, and spiritual understanding that He gives. You'll only know what the world and the flesh gives. May our Lord Jesus Christ Bless All of You. AMEN.
  6. Melissa7 Thank you, but this sermon was inspired by the Holy Spirit and had nothing to do with me. God says my power and praise I will not give to another. Isa. 42:8 May God Bless You , Your Brother in Christ, tyke
  7. We Christians sometimes have disagreements or conflicts when discussing biblical scriptures , but its how we approach the discussion that makes all the difference ( 2 Tim. 3:16,17 ). The key is not to anger the person or to prove that they are wrong, but to win there friendship and understanding. An attitude like that doesn't come from us alone but from the Lord working through us ( 2Tim. 4:5 ). The right attitude to have when discussing Christian doctrine is to be humble and take no pleasure in being right and others being wrong. Only giving our Lord Jesus Christ all the glory matters, and it matters more than anything else ( 1Cor. 10:31 ; Gal. 1:5 ; and Rom. 5:2 ). When we believe someone is in error of scripture we can show them , but with the right attitude and a teachable spirit. There is a good chance that someone can be taught if it's done in love, with the Spirit of Christ without pride, ego, or a personal agenda ( Col. 3: 13 ; Heb. 12: 14-15 ) So often when someone has a different view of scripture they go into these discussions with a sort of " game theory", mentally. The whole thing becomes about who's right and who's wrong rather than building each other up in Christ ( Eph. 4: 15-16 ). The discussion often times goes bad as both parties stew in there own thought's and feeling's of hurt and anger ( Phil. 2:1-7 ). We must remember that we are accountable to God for our actions. We can't control what the other person say's, but we can control how we answer ( Rom. 14: 10-13 ). We must also remember to pray for the person that we disagree with, and mean it, because the Lord can see the true intensions of our heart ( Matt. 5: 44,45 ). We can all have differences on scripture, not to prove our point, but to show the kind of love that Jesus showed, because our Lord said that we are to love each other as much as we love ourselves ( John 13: 34,35 and Gal. 5:13 ).
  8. Holy Spirit I pray that you give us seeing eyes, hearing ears, a receptive heart and mind, and a mouth that gives you the glory you so richly deserve. I also ask that you hide me in the palms of your hands so men will know that I'm just a servant that you use for the glory of your name. AMEN The Holy Spirit is the least understood of the Trinity of God. He is equal to the Father and the Son( Gen. 1:26 ) There is God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son of God, who is also God ( Heb. 1:8) and God the Holy Spirit ( Acts 5:3,4 ). He has a will, intelligence, divine knowledge, sympathy, ability to love, think, speak, see, hear, desire, grieve, and rejoice. When we become saved the Holy Spirit instantly dwells within us ( Eph. 1:13,14). He comes to dwell in us to help us, and to lift up our Lord Jesus Christ ( John 16 : 8-14 and Heb. 4:12 ), but that is not the end of it. There's a whole lot more. Developing intimacy and having an understanding of who the Holy Spirit is is crucial if were going to remain strong in the Lord since he is involved the most in a believers life ( John 16:12,14 ). When you start seeking the Holy Spirits help on a daily basis, concerning everything that you do, he will show you mysteries and the secret plans of God for your life ( John 16:13 and Rom. 8: 1-17 ). Relying on the Holy Spirit is so important that our Lord Jesus Christ didn"t start his ministry until he was baptized in water and the Holy Spirit. Everything he did in life and ministry he did empowered by the Holy Spirit, through the anointing and gifts of the Holy Spirit ( Luke 4:1 and Acts 10:38 ). Even the disciples and other believers depended upon the Holy Spirit for everything ( Acts 13:2,3,9 ; Rom. 9:1 ; and 1Cor.2:13 ). So, if Jesus needed the Holy Spirit, we also need him in our lives. Sadly, some Christians dismiss or take lightly the power, works, anointing, and gifts of the Holy Spirit with very little thought of the consequences their actions ( Acts 7:51 ; Matt. 12:31,32 ; and Luke 12:10 ). Some don't even understand the sin of grieving the Holy Spirit . This sin is committed by believers who don't let the Holy Spirit control their lives to the glory of Jesus Christ ( Eph. 4:30-32 ). Also the sin of quenching the Holy Spirit. This sin is committed by Christians when known sin is allowed to go unconfessed ( 1John 1:9 and Isa. 59:1-2 ). The Holy Spirit can be sinned against because he is God, but fortunately for us he's quick to forgive us once we repent. Regardless of how anyone views the gifts of the Holy Spirit the Father sent him to work through us and to help believers until the return of our Lord Jesus Christ ( 1 Cor. 13:8-10 and John 14:12 ). Today many Christians are totally unaware of all the blessings and benefits that the Holy Spirit provides. As a result of not understanding who they really are in Christ Jesus, many Christians are living defeated, joyless, and unproductive lives in the Lord. Each of us only has two roads that we can travel on in this life. We can believe that the Lord has a perfect plan for each one of us through the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit living inside of us, or we can choose not to believe by ignoring God and the call that he has placed in our lives. Anyone who is not saved I ask that you repeat this prayer, or one similar to it. Lord Jesus, I accept you as the Lord and Savior of my life. I repent of all my sins. I believe that you died on the cross for me and was raised up on the third day just as the Bible said you would. Thank you for saving me. AMEN and Amen
  9. Father I ask in the name of Jesus that you help all those who are seeking a intimate relationship with you. I ask that you also show them the depth and riches of your great love. I pray that you hide me in the palms of your hands so men will know that I'm just a vessel you use according to your will. AMEN God doesn't want our relation to end with him after we are saved, this is where it all begins. If we communicate with the Lord on a surface level, then we miss out on the kind of relationship that the Lord wants to have with us-an intimate relationship with him. Though this is his desire for each of us, many believers don't live in the close relationship that God has made available for all of us. Some Christians are confused and frustrated, wondering why they don't hear the Lords voice or feel his presence. Even though they attend church, read there bibles, and pray, God still seems to be far away and distant ( James 4:10 ). God is a spirit and that is how we must relate to him ( John 4:24 ). In order for us to have intimacy with the Lord we have to put time and effort into it ( Psalm 91:15). Do you remember what it feels like to be in love? No one had to tell you to think about that person; our thoughts just automatically flew to him or her. Or just consider how friendships develop. Close friendships aren't instantaneous, they grow over time. That's what its like when we love our Savior and continually pursue him by spending time with him, communicating with him, and sharing our deepest thoughts ( James 4:10 ). We also must have two-way communication. When we pray we often come to the Lord with our list of demands, but how often do we take the time to listen for his response? Although God delights in hearing our prayers, he also wants us to be still and listen to him ( Psalm 46:10 ). Since the Lord speaks to us primarily through his word, that is most likely where we will hear his voice. When reading your bible pray and meditate on his word, and ask the Lord questions such as: what are you saying to me? or how does this apply to my life? Then be still and listen, giving the Lord time to speak to your spirit. The more we listen, the more we will hear his voice, and soon your time with him will be your greatest joy ( Matt. 7:7,8 ), ( John 14:13 ), and ( James 1:6 ). Another important factor is for us to be open and honest, Exposing every area of our lives to the Lord. Although the natural thing is for us to back away from this type of vulnerability, we must remember that God already knows us inside and out and loves us more than we could ever comprehend ( Psalm 44:21 ). If were going to grow in oneness with the Lord, we must also learn to share his interests. He is always concerned about our well-being, but do we care about his desires and purposes. Are we more interested in the Lord, or what he can give us. If your relationship with the Lord seems to be dull or the same old thing, maybe we have drifted into a self-centered focus that is hindering a intimate relationship with him ( Matt. 6:33 ). Some of us confuse knowing the Lord with knowing about him or by thinking intimacy with God can be achieved through the accumulation of knowledge or what's commonly known as head knowledge. Rather such knowledge should continually change us, influence others, and prepare us for heaven ( 1 Cor. 14:33 ). One day were all going to meet the Lord, but will he be a stranger to us? Were all missing out on God's best for us until we have a meaningful, intimate relationship with the Lord ( John 17:3 ). If there is anyone who is reading this who is not saved. I ask that you repeat this prayer or one similar to it. Lord Jesus I accept you as the Lord of my life. I ask that you forgive me for all my sins. I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, was resurrected, and now you sit on the right hand of God. I thank you for saving me. AMEN
  10. Father in the name of Jesus I pray that you open our spiritual ears, eyes, mind, and heart to be receptive of when and how you speak to us Amen The Bible is filled with the various ways our Lord speaks to us from Genesis to Revelation. He spoke to Adam and is still speaking until this very hour. What some of us need is a little help in discerning some of the ways our Lord speaks to us, but, it's going to take commitment, patience, and time, as well as praying, and studying God's Word. (2 Timothy 2: 15,16 ) Also, We can't make demands on the Lord, but we can ask, seek, and knock and the Lord has promised to open the door for us, if we humbly seek him but, the timing is in the Lord's hands. So, how do we know if were hearing the voice of the Lord or not ? Here are some of the ways that the Lord has spoken to me but, we must remember that this is how the Lord spoke to me, and is not the only way our Lord speaks to his people. The Holy Spirit plays a vital role by speaking and leading us in the right direction. Howbeit, when he the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. He shall glorify me ( Jesus Christ), for he shall receive of mine, and show it unto you ( John 16: 13,14). The Holy Spirit will speak to us with his loving, quiet, still small voice through our thoughts, through our spirit such as a tug for us to go to the right or left, a peace in our spirit, and restlessness that this is not the will of the Lord ( 1 Kings 19:11,12 and Rev. 3: 7,8). Our Lord also speaks to us through visions and dreams ( Acts 2:17 and Rev. 3: 7,8 ). The Lord has given me visions and many, many dreams. Sometime he will reveal the vision or dream to me and at other times he will only give me one piece of the puzzle over time and at other times he simply will not reveal anything. This is where it's a good idea to seek the Lord even more and to keep a journal of what the Lord has shown you. The Lord also speaks to us through the circumstances that occurs in our lives whether good or some kind of tribulation. Such as convicting us of the sin in our lives ( John 16: 8,9 ). Also the Lord will speak to us using other people. It may come in the form of conformation, encouragement, reproof, or a warning. No matter who brings the word, always remember to make sure that what ever is said it lines up with the Word of God ( 1 John 4:1). We must also understand that there are other voices speaking to us. The voice of our own human desires and the devil. The devil sometimes speaks to us by bringing impressions to our minds. His voice is always urgent and insistent trying to get us to hurry and make the wrong choice but, the Lord's voice is loving, quiet, and is always consistent with his word ( John 10:3 and 10:27 ) ; ( Rev. 3:20 ). We need to try and understand that its going to take time, commitment, and patience on our part by praying and reading the Word of God then we will be able to discern the voice of the Lord as he draws us closer and closer to him. Amen Father in the name of Jesus I pray that if there is anyone who is reading this who is not saved I ask that you repeat this prayer or one similar to it. Lord I ask that you forgive me of my sins. I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, was resurrected on the third day, and now sits on the right hand of God. I here and now ask you to be the Lord and Savior of my life. I thank you in Jesus name. Amen and Amen
  11. Father I ask in the name of Jesus that you send out your healing power and heal all who call upon your Holy name. AMEN sadly many people go through life trying to understand why our Lord Jesus doesn't heal them. For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that you be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding (Col. 1:9). I'm a firm believer in Jesus healing people. I have personal knowledge of and experienced God's healing power in my own life as well as others. Briefly, I'm going to share how the Lord healed me, in hopes that it might help someone who might be struggling with questions about healing. Just remember the Lord doesn't heal everyone the same way, but, through his great wisdom He knows when the perfect timing is. In April 1974 I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Instantly, I new I was saved and going to Heaven. After a short time the Lord revealed to me that he wanted me to preach the gospel and to teach His word. I refused and turned my back on God and pursued my life long dream in the work that I wanted to do. After about 20 years of doing things according to my will, I hit rock bottom. The illness that I had since I was a child gradually started getting worse. In December 1994 I simply could not take it anymore. I repented, went back to church, and started to serve the Lord. For almost 2 1/2 years it seemed like the worst time in my life. I prayed, studied God's Word, attended church regularly and tried my best to be a servant of the Lord. It was very difficult sometimes. I would literally lay face down on my floor praying for the Lord to heal me. It was in October of 1997 that I was just walking along and instantly I was healed. There was no great signs in the sky, no heavenly visions, just the fact that I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Lord had healed me. The Lord not only healed my illness, but also healed my Spirit, heart, and mind. Praise God, thank you Lord. It was around this time, as I was praying, that the Lord gave me understanding of not only who I was in Christ Jesus, but showed me that It wouldn't be long before I start preaching and teaching His Word. Since that time, I've worshipped and served the Lord and never looked back, because there is nothing in this world more important that the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus said, no one who puts his hand to the plow, and looks back, is fit for the Kingdom of God (Luke 9:62 ). Although I don't understand all the ways God heals people our Lord has revealed through His Word (Bible) that He will heal us but, we must meet His conditions the same way we did when He saved us. The degree to which we trust God depends upon the faith that we have in Him to heal us.The Bible says, but without faith it is impossible to please Him. For whosoever would come near to God must believe that God exists and that He is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him out (Heb 11:6). Our Lord Jesus is not a respecter of persons, but will heal all who call upon his Holy Name ( John 14:13-14) . When you want something you never had then you got to do what you never did. That is have faith in God. Also, know sin in our life, no matter what it is, will prevent us from being healed. We must confess our sin to the Lord and forsake them ( 1John 1:9 and 1 John 3:4). Don't be surprised when you start praying to be healed, that the devil will try and stop you. He will try all kinds of lying mind games trying to cause you to have all sorts of doubts and accuse you with all sorts of lying accusations. This is where praying and studying the Word of God will help you ( Eph. 6: 12-18 and 2 Timothy 2:15). Living outside the will of God, like I did for years, will prevent you from being healed. We can't have one foot in the Kingdom of God and the other foot in the World. The Lord says, a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways ( James 1:8). Sometimes the Lord doesn"t heal. A good illustration of this can be found in ( 2 Cor. 12: 8-9). The Apostle Paul asked God 3 times to remove the thorn in his side but the Lord told him that His grace was enough for him. My cousin was born with cerebral palsy and lived and died confined to a wheel chair. Sometimes when I looked at him I would think to myself, why would God allow him and others to be born this way. I was even angry with God. It wasn't until years later after God healed me that He showed me why. He showed me that some people have different infirmities for the glory of His Name. I'm not going to pretend that I fully understand what the Lord was saying to me but, I simply believe God by faith whether I understand or not. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and mind, and do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths ( Proverbs 3: 5,6). Praise God Amen Father in the name of Jesus I ask if there is anyone who is reading this and is not saved that they repeat this prayer or one similar to it. Lord I ask that you forgive me of my sins. I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, was resurrected the third day, and now sits on the right hand of God. I hear and now ask you to be the Lord and Savior of my life. Amen and Amen
  12. .During his earthly ministry Jesus claimed to be God in human flesh. Either he is God as he claimed or the greatest con-artist that ever existed. No one has ever created more controversy and disagreement as he did. Before his claim can be denied there are some things that has to be accounted for. Such as: His virgin birth, His holy sinless life, His many miracles, and His death, burial, and resurrection. Father in Jesus name I pray that you open the eyes of unbelievers and believers to the whole truth of who you are and to the fact that you are everything you claimed to be. AMEN and AMEN The God nature of Jesus Christ is well established in the New Testament by eye witness accounts. He is called God by John (John 1:1) and Thomas (John 20:28). He was even called God by God the Father (Heb.1:8). He claimed to be God in that he was with the father before creation existed and before Abraham was created (John 17:5 and 8: 51-59).He was worshipped and only God is to be worshipped, and He forgave sins and only God can forgive sins ( Matt. 14:3 and Mark 2:5-11). He is creator , sustainer, and maker of all things, only God can control the universe ( Col.1:16 and Heb. 1:3). He also said that he has all power in heaven and on the earth, and only God has all power ( Matt. 28:18). He raised the dead , walked on water, gave sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, and cast out demons. Quite a lot of impossible things for just an ordinary man. His human side is seen in that his mother was human flesh (Matt. 1:18-25). He was subjected to all the sinless infirmities of his human nature such as: He was hungry (Matt 4:2), thirsty, got tired, cried ( John 19:28 , 4:6 , and 11:35) and was tempted ( Heb. 14:15). Jesus wasn't God and man but the God-man. He is God in human flesh. His two natures are put together in such a way that the two become one, having a single consciousness and will. His virgin birth has never been duplicated in all human history. It was by the virgin birth that God became man, two natures : one nature being that of Almighty God, and the other nature being man. The union of the two natures became the God-man Christ Jesus. The authors of the books of the Bible tells us that we have undisputed evidence of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. So lets take a look at some of these facts: He appeared to Peter (Luke 24:34), To the apostles, Thomas not being there (Luke 24: 36-43), Again to the apostles, Thomas present ( John 20: 24-29), to Mary Magdalene (John 20: 11:18) , to James (1 Cor. 15:7), to Paul on his way to Damascus (Acts 9:3-6), to the women returning from the sepulcher (Matt.28 5-10), to the eleven apostles again (Matt. 28: 16-20), to the seven by the sea of Tiberias ( John 21: 1-23), to Stephen the first martyr ( Acts 7:55), and to 500 believers who saw him all at the same time and all at the same place ( 1 Cor. 15:6). When Jesus was arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane his disciples forsook him and ran away (Matt. 26:56). From this time until after his resurrection the disciples lived in total fear: dejected, discouraged, and defeated. Now, How do we account for there fearlessness and great courage that came into the lives of the disciples three days and three nights later, after the resurrection of Jesus Christ ? They rejoiced when persecuted (Acts 5: 40=42), and most of them died martyrs' deaths believing in the resurrection of Jesus Christ rather than denying him (Heb. 11:35). Now, lets look at some other evidence. If Jesus is not alive, then what happened to his body that was in the empty tomb ? The Roman guards were paid to say that his disciples came during the night and took the body while we were sleeping (Matt. 28: 11-35). First, the disciples didn't have the courage and if they did take the his body then how do we account to the fact that they all suffered and most died martyrs' deaths ? In the face of death one of them would have told where the body was to save his own life. Second, if the disciples stole the body then they would have woke up the guards rolling away the stone that covered the grave. Third, how did the guards know that it was the disciples since they all said that they were sleeping. Fourth, the Roman army was so strict that the guards would have been put to death for sleeping on duty. Fifth, no one was ever arrested for stealing the body of Jesus. It's evident that the government offical's didn't believe the story of the guards. Sixth, had the enemies of Jesus stolen the body they could have produced it and put an end to Christianity; and they would have. Seven, when the apostle John entered the tomb he saw the grave clothes folded the same way as when they were wrapped around Jesus body (John 20: 1-20). Jesus came out of the clothes, and they collapsed without disturbing the folds. The were left there by the Lord as evidence of his resurrection. Even the stone that was rolled away from in front of the tomb by the angels is evidence that the Lord wanted men to see the grave clothes. The death of Jesus Christ was supernatural. Jesus said: No man taketh life from me, I lay it down to myself (John 10: 17,18). Only Almighty God could die a supernatural death. Jesus Christ is coming back to this world. Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus (Rev. 22:20).
  13. Father in the name of Jesus there's so many area's of our life were we lack faith. We ask father that you give us unlimited faith. Amen The just shall live by faith. This Christian principle is found four times in the Bible ( Hab.2: 1-5 ; Rom. 1:17 : Gal. 3:10 and Heb. 10:38). As we walk with our Lord Jesus, We can see the difference between the lives of the unjust and the just. The unjust are puffed up and live by there own set of rules, but the just live by faith, there hope is in God. To us faith is more than a philosophy of life, it is the very principle of life. The righteous shall live there entire life by faith. we are saved by faith (Acts 16:31) , kept by faith (1 Peter 1:7) , and live by faith (Gal. 2:20). Our faith will be tested many times and in many ways (1 Peter 1:7). Godly faith is more than equal to any situation because Godly faith knows how to wait on the Lord ( Isa. 40:31) and is always victorious . Godly faith defies reason, it can move mountains (Matt. 17: 14-21) ; it doesn't face facts ; it never gives up ( Heb. 11: 32-39). Godly faith does make all things possible because God is working out His perfect will in our lives. Now, what is faith? Faith is the answer to things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Heb.11:1). Our faith is our title deed to eternal life. As a title deed is proof of owning property, our faith is proof of our eternal life in God (2 Cor. 4:18). Faith is taking God at His word and asking no questions ( Heb. 11:6). Faith is knowing that "all things work together for good to them that love God" (Rom 8:28). Sometimes our faith doesn't work out the way we want it to, but we believe that all things, good or bad , work together for good to those that love God. Faith goes beyond reason. We believe without understanding why. We give thanks in tribulations ( Rom. 5:3) and when we suffer (Heb. 11:25). We accept all things as part of God's will ( Phil. 1:12). Were not born with this kind of faith, it comes by hearing the word of God (Rom. 10:17). Now faith is a very important part of our walk with the Lord Jesus. The Lord commands us to put on the whole armor of God ( Eph. 6: 10-18), because our life is a war, a spiritual conflict. The apostle Paul tells us to put on the whole armor of God and above all else take the shield of faith so that we can stand all the things that the enemy throws at us. Faith is so important that without it we can't be saved ( John 3:6 ) ; have victory over the world ( John 5:4) ; please God ( Heb. 11:6) ; pray ( James 1:6) ; have peace or joy ( Rom. 5:1 and 1 Peter 1:8) and without faith is a sin ( Rom. 14:23). Faith honors the Lord and the Lord honors faith. We need a faith that is bigger than the things that can drag us down to defeat. We can have great faith by praying, and reading the word of God (Rom.10:17). We often hear that seeing is believing , but that's not true. The Lord say's to believe then you will see. Faith comes before sight. Don't be satisfied with little faith when we can have big faith that pleases God and reveals His glory. It's only by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ that we can overcome our problems and have victory over all the evil forces that's trying to destroy us. Father in the name of Jesus I pray that if there is anyone who is reading this , who is not saved, I ask that you repeat this prayer or one similar to it. Father in Jesus name I ask that you forgive me of my sins. I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, was resurrected on the third day, and now sit's on the right hand of God. I here and now ask you to be the Lord and Savior of my life. I thank you in Jesus name. Amen and Amen.
  14. Father in the name of Jesus you said that if we call upon you in the day of trouble that you would deliver us and we would glorify you and that many evil's confront us but you deliver us from them all. We ask Father that you save us from the trouble were in and we thank you in Jesus name. Amen. God can not deliver or show His great power until the man or woman gets into real trouble. We will never know God and all His glory until we get into trouble. How can we know God without being in a battle with sickness or disease? How can we know that God provides without being in need? How can we know God sticks closer that a brother without being lonely, rejected, or cast aside by those who said they loved us? You will discover in the day of trouble a God that will lead you, comfort you, and be a Shepard through the valley of death. When we get in trouble, God doesn't send someone else but show's up himself. What we ask God, in prayer, in Jesus name he has promised to answer ( John 14:13 ). He will come to our aid when all other's have forsaken us. We don't have to be in any special place for God to answer. Jonah was in the belly of the whale and God answered him ( Jonah 2 ). Medical science is now saying that laughter release's an enzyme in your brain that literally attacks sickness and disease, but long before this the Lord said "a merry heart does good like a medicine ( Prov. 17:22 ). So, can we have joy in the day of trouble? God said we could. Count it all joy when you enter into great trials ( James 1:2 ). It was Jesus who said "Be of good cheer I have overcome the world (John 16:33 ). Be of good cheer your sins are forgiven ( Matt.9:2 ). It is I do not be afraid of the world, the flesh, or the devil ( Matt. 14:27 ). Jesus endured the cross of the joy that was set before him ( Heb. 12:2 ). How can you have joy when your about to be crucified? Because Jesus saw that you and me were going to be restored to fellowship with God the Father. God wants us to call upon his name so that he can demonstrate his great power to us. He can make a way when other people don't know which way to go. He closed the mouth of lion's for David and he can close the mouth of two-legged lion's who sow discord amongst the brethren. Rejoice in the Lord and again I say rejoice. Count it all joy and say Father, I don't understand why this happened, I don't know why it's happening now, but I know that I'm going to be victorious in your name. I'm lifting up my hands to praise you and to glorify you and I know that everything is going to be alright. There's a supernatural principle in the shouting of joy. Clap your hands oh you people and shout unto God with the voice of triumph ( Psalm 47:1 ). Now is Christ risen and because He's risen we have that power to directly approach God our Father. When the people of Israel shouted, with a great shout, the walls of Jericho fell. There was a supernatural victory that came about by shouting. Many of us have walked around our problems for days, months, and years. We have allowed some Jericho to stop us from getting all that God has for us. We have the right through Jesus Christ to shout the problem away. The purpose of the shout for joy is a weapon of spiritual victory over our problems, given to us, by God. Our shout or praise to God cause's our Lord to fight on our behalf against our enemies. Joy is when we decide that God is in control of our lives and everything is going to be alright. Let no man take your joy ( 16:22 ).Rejoice in the Lord, and again I say rejoice. Don't allow your past to control your future. Nothing is impossible with God ( Matt. 17:20). If someone were to say to me how do you know that these things are true? I would reply. if they weren't, I wouldn't be alive today. Father in the name of Jesus I pray that if there is anyone who is reading this who is not saved, I ask that you repeat this prayer or one similar to it. Father in Jesus name I ask that you forgive me of my sins. I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, was resurrected on the third day, and now sit's on the right hand of God. I here and now, ask you to be the Lord and Savior of my life. I thank you in Jesus name. Amen and Amen.
  15. Father in the name of Jesus I ask that your word goes out like a two-edged sword , piercing the spirit , soul , joint's, and marrow. I pray that those seeking answered prayers find the answer in you, Amen and Amen. Why is it so important that we pray ? Because we are commanded to pray (Matt. 26:41). It's the only way to receive things from GOD (James 4:2). There is joy in praying (John 16:24). It's a sin not to pray (Sam. 12:23). It's the only way that unbeliever's can be saved, when they pray in faith (John 3: 1-21) ,and while Jesus was here on the earth He prayed often to the Father. Now if Jesus, the Son of God, needed to pray, then we should pray without ceasing ( 1 Thess. 5: 17). Now when the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray (Luke 11: 1), our Lord gave them the perfect "model" prayer (Matt. 6: 9-15). He explained that we are to pray to our Father in Heaven, that His will be done in everything, and that His Kingdom comes (Matt.25: 31-46), and that we pray for our daily necessities, and to pray for forgiveness of our sins, and to practice forgiving others. We are to pray for the leading of the Lord and deliverance from evil, and we are to pray in faith (Heb.11: 5,6) ,and in the name of Jesus (John 14: 13,14). Now, after the resurrection of Jesus there was a big change in the prayer life of the disciples. They prayed in the upper room waiting for the coming of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1: 13,14). We should always pray when gathered with believers. If there are any unbelievers present, we are to pray only to please God and not to be heard by them, or to please them. A good example of this would be when Paul and Silas prayed in prison (Acts 16:25). The most important place we can pray would be anywhere we can be alone with God and not be disturbed (Matt. 6:6). It is a great joy to know that we can talk to God, anytime, any place, under any condition, and know that He will hear and answer. Now, What if God doesn't answer? Then we need to examine ourselves in the light of God's word and if we find anything not pleasing to God then we are to confess it believing God forgives us so that our prayers will be answered (1 John 1:9). Some other Biblical examples of why prayers aren't answered are; an unharmonious relationship between a husband and wife (1 Peter 3: 1-7), selfishness (James 4:3), an unforgiving spirit (Matt. 5: 22-24). Also, many people go with unanswered prayer because they have wronged other's or have been wronged themselves and failed to humble themselves and seek reconciliation. Another example is unbelief (James 1: 6,7 and Heb.11:6). Known sin in the heart will hinder prayer (Isa.59:1,2 and Psalm 66:18). When we pray we are to go to God with all humility and ask Him to reveal anything in our lives that is not pleasing to Him. Then we should judge it, confess it, calling it by name and forsake it. Some might wonder does God answer all prayers. The Bible is filled with answered prayer from Genesis to Revelation , but there are some requirements. First we are to abide in Him; that is to continue in Him or remain in the Lord's will at all cost (Romans 12:1,2). Second, the Lord's word (Bible) is to abide in us so that it is a vital part of our lives. We are to be filled with and guided by His word's so that our prayers will be answered (Col. 3: 16,17). One other example would be when Peter walked on the water (Matt. 14: 22-31). Peter prayed Lord save me. The answer was immediate. The answer could be delayed. As when Lazarus died then was raised to life (John 11: 1-44). The answer was delayed, but not denied. The answer could be no. When God answers with a no He accompanies the answer with peace (Phil. 4:6,7 and 2 Cor. 12: 7-10). Sometimes the answer is different from what we expected. Such as we pray for patience and God sends tribulation (Rom. 5:3). God answers all our prayers, but not according to our want's, but according to His perfect will. Father in Jesus name I ask that if there is anyone reading this that doesn't know Jesus Christ as there Lord and Savior, that you repeat this prayer or one similar to it. Lord Jesus I thank you for dying on the cross for my sins and for rising on the third day. I repent of all my sins and accept you as the Lord and Savior of my life. Amen and Amen
  16. Father GOD in the name of Jesus, I ask that those seeking answer's to prayer's find the answer in you .As your word goes out I pray that all will learn to ask, seek, and knock in Jesus name Amen and Amen. Prayer springs from the heart with a need greater than our understanding. It's our acknowledgement of a supreme being higher than ourselves, known as GOD. Most people try to pray but, sometimes have difficulty in many different areas. There's basically only two kinds of prayer, those that reach GOD and those that don't. One example of this would be the parable of the Pharisee and the Publican. (Luke 18:9-14). Here we see the Pharisee praying in his religious pride, expecting GOD to answer because he thought he was worthy. He told GOD about his goodness, how he was better than others, and about he fasted and how much he gave of himself. I think we all can agree that this is the kind of prayer that doesn't reach GOD. Now, when the Publican came to pray, He prayed with great humility, and aware of his unworthiness, by asking GOD for his mercy (Psalm 57:10). I think we can agree that this kind of prayer does reach GOD. Prayer is asking and receiving (Matt. 7:7-11). When we know the will of GOD regarding a need, whether it be spiritual or material we can ask and receive. This is prayer according to the will of GOD (1 John 5:14,15). Prayer is also seeking and finding. When we don't know the will of God regarding a need, then we are to seek his will until we find it. This is prayer for an understanding of the unrevealed will of GOD in a particular need (Col. 3:1) and (Jer. 29:12,13). Prayer is also knocking and opening. When we do no the will of GOD, and yet we find a closed door, then we are to knock and keep on knocking until GOD opens the door. Sadly, this is where some of us give up because it requires tenacious prayer. That's prayer for the impossible to become possible, miracle working prayer. (Matt. 17:14-21). Remember our Lord instruct's us to ask, seek, and knock because these three word's cover the whole spectrum of prayer. Father in the name of Jesus. I ask that if there is anyone reading this that doesn't know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, that you repeat this prayer or one similar to it. Lord Jesus I thank you for dying on the cross for my sin's and rising again where you now sit on the right hand of GOD. I repent of all my sin's and accept you as the Lord and Savior of my life. Amen and Amen
  17. Father in the name of Jesus , I pray that as your word goes out that you help all those who suffer from worry, Amen and Amen. In the 64 years of my life one thing became very clear to me. Most of the things I worried about never came true. I discovered that worry is something in which we can't have our own way , and is in reality a personal distrust of the Lord. Worry is unbelief and faith in fear. It believes that God can't take care of us, because if we believed, then we wouldn't be worried. We are commanded by Jesus not to worry (Matt. 6:25-34). The Lord made us to live a worry free life. He created us to live without tension, turmoil, stress, and strife. To live a life filled with the power to overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil. How? By casting all your care upon him, because he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Jesus said, I'm the ever present friend in the time of trouble. I'm greater than the crisis you are going through. I'm greater than the mountains you are climbing, and the giant's you are fighting. I make a way where there seems to be know way. I am the God of all hope, call upon me, and I will show you great and mighty things, that you know not. Actually, Jesus has already solved the problem before we even knew the problem existed. It takes great faith to believe in something that works once in awhile, but it doesn't take great faith to believe in a God who has never failed anyone, EVER. (Rom.8:31; Heb.13:5; Psalm 37:25; Proverbs 6:31;)
  18. My brothers and Sister's, You are living beneath your privilege if you are a believer and not enjoying life. For life to be enjoyed it must have a resource. That resource is Jesus Christ (John 14:6). To have this kind of life the believer must abide in Jesus (John 15:1-5).This kind of living is not for just a few, it is God's norm for ALL believers. If you do not have this abundant life in you, you will soon yield to the carnal life around you (1 Cor.3:1-4). This abundant life is Holy Spirit controlled. How to obtain this abundant life is no secret, it is revealed in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Faith that saves identifies you with Christ in His death-this is eternal life (Rom 6:10) Faith that yields identifies you with Christ in His resurrection-this is abundant life (Col.3:1-4). It is one thing to live in Christ (2Cor.5:17), it is another thing for Christ to live His life through you (Col.1:27).The abundant life begins when you yield to Him as Master, allowing Him to live His life through you by faith. You are to ,present. This is volitional surrender to the perfect will of God, even though you don't know God's perfect will for your life; it is on your part, an act of faith( John 7:17). God must control and use the whole man because your whole man was redeemed on the cross and sanctified for service(1 Thess.5:23). We have been changed by the power of God and no longer conformed to this world. We are to be separated unto the gospel of God, we are to come out from anything that is contrary to the perfect will of God (2 Cor.6:17). God the Father has the power to separate the believer unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thess.5:23).The Holy Spirit indwells every believer(1 Cor.6:19), but does the Holy Spirit have you, that He may fill you with the abundant life? Be filled with the Spirit is a command (Eph.5:18). You may be filled many times (Acts 2:4 and Acts 4:31). To be filled with the Holy Spirit is to be Spirit-led, Spirit-empowered, and Spirit-controlled (Acts 8:26-40). You are filled with the Spirit that you may have joy (Eph.5:19-20).Filled with the Spirit for service (Acts 6:3), Filled with the Spirit for power to witness (Acts 1:8 and Acts 2:4-7), Filled with the Spirit for the hour of persecution (Acts 7:54-60), Filled with the Spirit that you may walk in the Spirit (Gal.5:16-26), and we are filled with the Spirit that we may be led by the Spirit (Rom.8:14). To live life abundantly we have to be regenerated or recharged (Titus 3:5). How do we get regenerated or recharged? First, we must ask Him to regenerate us, second we must desire Him to regenerate us, and third we must believe that He regenerates us (John 7:37-38 and John 4:14). Father in the name of Jesus, I ask that You breathe on your message. I ask that You touch those who the message is for and that Your will be done. Amen
  19. Mateo, I've been a Christian police officer for 40 years, now retired. I've worked uniform and plain clothes. I do have an answer to your question, but I'm going to wait for awhile to see what others are saying before I answer you. God Bless.
  20. I would love to hear what others think, God bless
  21. Thank you coheir, that's the exact ring that I saw.
  22. twisty, It's been said if being saved was easy everyone would be Christians. We often hear that seeing is believing, but this is not so, you believe and then see. Faith is taking God at his word and asking no questions (Heb. 11:6). It is knowing that all things work together for good to them that love God( Rom.8:28). Faith does not believe that all things are good, or that all things work well, but does believe that all things (good or bad) work together for good to them that love God. Faith goes beyond reason. It believe's without understanding "why". We glory in tribulations ( Rom.5:3), It sings in prison (Acts 16:25) , It chooses to suffer ( Heb.11:25), faith accepts all things as part of God's will (Phil 1:2). Were not born with faith, it comes by hearing the Word of God (Rom.10:17). Our Christian life is a spiritual warfare, that's why Paul tell's us to put on the whole armor of God (Eph. 6:10-18). I thank God, that I've been through the things I have, for I know that each time that I pass the test, I will come out as refined gold, and the Lord will elevate me to a new place in Him. I will be praying for you, May God bless you.
  23. I was channel surfing when I saw it and can't remember the channel, sorry.

    help

Jere, I hope my personal experience will help you. I was so sinful the Lord literally knocked me down on my back before I finally looked up, and cried out to HIM. Also I've turned from the LORD 3 times, and after I fell to a place so low that I couldn't stand it no more, I cried out to the LORD. The LORD instantly brought me back to HIM again, PRAISE GOD. Son, I'm 64 years old and made a multitude of mistakes. I know from personal experience that GOD will forgive you just as HE did me NO MATTER WHAT YOU DID. Simon Peter sinned (Matthew 26: 69-75), repented ( John 21: 3-17) and was restored to fellowship with our LORD. Thomas sinned, repented and was restored to fellowship with the LORD.( John 20: 24-29). King David sinned ( 2 Samuel 11: 1-27) repented ( Psalm 51: 1-19) and was restored to fellowship with the LORD ( 2 Samuel 12: 13) . In April 1974 GOD called me to preach when I got saved, but I didn"t want to do it. I chose my life-long passion of law enforcement. To make a long story short I wasn't very happy until I combined my career with preaching the gospel in December 1994. Since then GOD has showed me great and mighty things and now I'm so very happy. My no mistake, Jesus loves you and I more than we could possibly understand. Jere, I will be praying for you, GOD BLESS YOU.
