  1. Thank you for this Marilyn. Just came on to have a look. What a lot of work you have done. I so appreciate your effort to help people understand the end times and what it means for all of us. We must, as mabel says, keep our eyes firmly fixed on Him and His purposes, as in Him we live and move and have our being
  2. Hi turtletwo You and your family are always in our prayers. Right now, we will also lift your daughter up to the Lord for help.
  3. What a beautiful eulogy for that precious little baby turtletwo. May God bless you for being so compassionate. We join with you in praying for Abigail's parents, who must be in such grief. Love in Jesus' Name, SA2
  4. Hello tt and others I have heard and seen many cases where the bond between mothers and their children remains somehow despite challenging situations in life. It has to do with the way God made us.
  5. Well, God bless you dear friend. As usual, you have blessed many of us with one of your beautiful poems on Resurrection Sunday! What a wonderful day for all of us when the world is going through such a bleak time. We do indeed join with you in praising our amazing, wonderful Saviour and Lord. He is our treasure in Heaven, our everything, our all. Praise the Lord!
  6. This is good. Not knowing your situation, I was just trying to help but if you have things in place, it is good. God bless you and baby FOE. Love, in Jesus' Name, SA2
  7. Amen Ayin Jade! We are not to judge. God is the only judge - therefore we are to forgive, however hard that may be.
  8. Thank you, Neighbor, for recognising the issues in Figure of eighty's post and doing your best to give advice, as a man. There certainly are mature women of God on Worthy who are able to help Figure of eighty with her practical needs. As an Australian, I do not know how she would access the help she needs where she is, as I don't know where she lives. If it is in the US, perhaps my mature sisters in the Lord there could help her find out where she can get help. Figure of eighty, I wonder if I may be of help to you in some way. I will help you with advice if I can. Just let me know, as I have some experience of pregnancy, and my children are now grown up ..... and there are many other moms here. May God bless you and your child abundantly. Read the Word of God as much as you can in order to store up in your heart all the promises of God to those that love Him. When you learn to trust Him completely, He will lead you and you will not fear those dreams.... God loves you as has already been stated by brothers and sisters above.
  9. Absolutely right, frienduff and turtletwo, and other posters here. As my Pastor often says "JESUS WILL HAVE THE LAST SAY!".
  10. Hello Annette, dear sister I have learned over the years, in churches and elsewhere, what to share with people and what is only to be shared with one or two. I love the women at my church. However, I have to use wisdom with what I share and with whom. Just a small example: Early in my time here (my church), I was sharing something deep and meaningful with a sister when all of a sudden she saw someone coming through the door, looked at them and went to greet them. Some people lack sensitivity and I have learned that, although she is precious, special and warm, she is not the one with whom I share deep things as her attention span is limited. There are many things I only share with my husband and Jesus. They are too precious to be treated lightly. I also keep that in mind when sharing on this forum, and hope that, if I err, someone will show me where I have gone wrong. We also have to be careful, as turtletwo (thanks, sis, for your very worthy reply) has pointed out, that everything is to be done in love. God bless you all. SA2
  11. Thanks, turtletwo. I am looking forward to seeing Joni and people in her situation leaping around Heaven!
  12. Hi all Here in Australia many of our regional towns are losing their stores, and have to fight to stay viable. Many are getting together and finding ways to survive the closure of shops and banks. We are seeing the closure of yet another bank here within the next couple of months. These ways include Folk, Blues, Country and Western weekends festivals, country fairs and quaint shops to attract passers through and advertising local attractions. Many of our shops are now empty. I actually prefer shopping locally as I do not have to put my card details on the internet. I also find it fun to go shopping; sometimes it's a way to get out and about. Frienduff is right. The global one world government is on the way. They want to hem everyone in to shopping on the internet. I don't think Christians are the only people seeing this all happen before their eyes. There are many people in the world against globalisation.
  13. Thank you, sugarbear, for being honest - many of us can identify with your poem. God bless you sister.
  14. Amen to all of you. What a beautiful poem, turtletwo. God bless you sis.
  15. Hi BGuy, and welcome to Worthy. Communication is the key. The others have given you sound advice. My husband and I talk a lot. After our relationship with Jesus, and if we are married, our spouse is the next most important and we should do everything we can to maintain a right relationship with them. Praying for you both BGuy.
  16. Hello Justin9228 You have had some wonderful answers already. I just wanted to add: Around your age (I was 25) I began my search for the truth as everything had become boring and mundane in my life and I was looking for answers, just like you. I spent 2 years wondering how to find the truth. Unbeknownst to me, God was working through the power of the Holy Spirit to bring me to Him. By the time I turned 27, through certain things happening (I met several people along the way who somehow, randomly it seemed, resulted in my going to church). I met another woman my age who, when I told her my story, said "You've tried everything else, why don't you come to church with me next Sunday?" I collected her and off we went. Well, while other people were singing the truth just hit me! A voice (not audible) said to me "JESUS CHRIST IS THE TRUTH". Seriously, it hit me like a thunderbolt! I knew this was God speaking to me - somehow - I just knew. I left that small group of people that day and went home with a tract. On the back of the tract was something called "The sinner's prayer". I prayed that prayer and God came into my life. There was no mistaking it. My whole life changed. I have been living, walking, talking, praying, loving and serving my Lord for 41 years now. Dear seeker - come to Jesus. Bring Him all your confusion, guilt, sin and bundle of problems. Tell Him, as you have been told above, that you want to receive Him as your Saviour and Lord. Say "Lord, I ask your forgiveness for everything I have ever done wrong, including thinking that I could ever get to heaven through any effort I have made." What we need to understand is that we can never get there through our own merit; it's not about what we do - it's about what Jesus has done! Salvation comes through faith alone, by the grace of God (Eph. 2:8,9). Repentance, when you learn about it, is absolutely necessary too. If you need more help, a lot of caring people here can answer any more questions you have. You need to pray and ask God, Who I believe is drawing you, to lead you to the right church/people where you can flourish as a new Christian; learn and grow into the man God wants you to be. Love in Jesus' Name, SA2
  17. Hello Kristin While I believe this question has been answered adequately by those who have already posted, I believe love is, very importantly, a choice. Every decision in life is a choice. As with those replies you have already had, we don't know your situation. However, (no judgment here, as God is our only Judge), based on the very small amount of knowledge that we do have, "If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen." 1 John 4:20. Your post may not even apply to your own situation. We can only quote God's Word and, in John, we have a lot to go by with the issue of loving our brother/neighbour. We must not harbour hate/anger/unforgiveness/resentment/bitterness in our hearts towards any other person. We must forgive. That is a choice, and that choice is made by asking the Lord to make us willing to be willing to forgive, whatever the offence. (It is also a commandment - Jesus said we must forgive 70 x 7 and this means always.) (I also do not make light of some dreadful offences against us.) We don't want barriers between us and our Saviour - we want a clean heart before Him. These things create barriers and we don't want them in our hearts. With the help of our Lord, we can make choices to love all people. We do not love a lot of the things they do. But, there but for the grace of God go I. At the end of the day, people are not our enemy. Satan is our enemy, and the father of the lies that people believe. Love to you Kristin. Please understand that I care about all my sisters and brothers and am pointing the way to the Word that Jesus spoke.
  18. Hey, little blue friend - it wasn't about towels - you are confused lol
  19. Hello dear friend This is very encouraging to me too. We need to stay focussed on Jesus as you say and not let the world get us down. He is with us always. Thank you for this thread, and others which I hope to catch up with.
  20. I just had a quick shower, so it didn't take as long to dry myself, as I wasn't as wet as usual!
  21. Even 10 years ago would this even have been a conversation??
  22. Yes, John - and the leftist opposition party in our country is heading the same way. And as HisFirst has noted, this awful, diabolical, satanic stuff is gathering speed like a runaway train. Thanks turtletwo, for alerting us to this latest assault on our precious children in an attempt to pervert their thinking. Our best defence is attack - pray, pray, pray for these little souls. Frienduff, you are right. We must not be concerned about offending people, in fact it should be that we are afraid of offending our God, and be bold in our witnessing, out in the harvest, striving to see God's will be done.
  23. Hi all I was born again in February 1978. In about 5 days I will be 41 years old in the Lord. Easter Sunday 1978 I was baptised in water. In May 1978 I was praying by my bedside on my knees when the Holy Spirit fell upon me and I began speaking in another language. This experience with God was unmistakeable to me - it was accompanied by two visions God gave me. I have only ever had one other vision in my whole 41 years of knowing Our Great, Marvelous and Wonderful Saviour, and look to the Giver of the gifts; not the gifts themselves. I do not look for visions but wait upon God for everything He has for me. I still pray in the Spirit and no one can convince me this is not God's language for me in which I can express myself to Him when the English language cannot adequately fill that prayer. I believe God will trust His children with gifts but we must be 100% responsible to honour Him with reverence and awe as we use that which He has entrusted us with. He is Holy; make sure we don't waste or misuse anything He gives us. Of course we must first be born again, believe in and love God with all our hearts, desire above all to serve Him and honour Him in all our ways.
  24. Hi Melinda 12 Last night I watched a Dr Charles Stanley message about why we should go to church. It was really good. Perhaps you should look it up. Other than that, I think Frances stated it well, along with others' messages here.
  25. This is beautiful turtletwo. Thank you.
