  1. So Phoenix sounds a lot like WA. Not sure what the highest minimum was but I remember many nights when it only got down to the high 80s. Still that better than the 120s
  2. What are the highest minimum temps? Just curious. I recall a WA summer job out near the edge of the desert weighing grain trucks and living in a tin shack type of accomodation. Thats really nice
  3. Same here and what did you find you had to do to keep them growing healthily? Thanks
  4. Personally I have a lawn??? in the rear garden that has gone to chaos. Too many things going on to deal with it so far but I may be making time this year to sort it out.
  5. I thought it would be a good idea to have a topic on lawns and their care. What do you do to maintain your lawn? How do you deal with weeds? What types of grass are better for your area? etc.
  6. If nothing else you have to enjoy those beautiful images of our universe.
  7. More to the point, the nations themselves do not appear to want to change. If they go to God and pray "please save us God from this horror, oh but, by the way, I'm not going to even acknowledge that the current behaviour is wrong let alone attempt to change it... etc", what do you think God's response will be? Look around and see the popular behaviour. The phrase "as in the time's of Noah" seems to be more and more relevant. I can and do wish that we could change our ways but I can see it wont happen. Better to put your faith in God.
  8. ITs shocking how vulnerable we are to computer attacks.
  9. Old KJV had the apochrypha in the middle between old and new testaments. It was not considered to be part of the Word. It was there only for cultural reference to aid the later reader in understanding more about the nature of society in those past times. One may wonder, why not have it in a separate book. But remember back in those days books were still relatively rare... and so...
  10. The funny thing about self proclaimed witches/wizards they always have a familiar. This person will be sent to the intended victim, under the guise of being a friendly neighbour, and warn you that that person has put a hex on you. I mean, if this stuff was real they wouldn't need to let you know, it would just work anyway. Because its fake they need to let you know so that you can "self fulfil" the thing. IF you realise its all fake it won't work on you.
  11. It also seems that when someone is influenced by evil but you are filled with the spirit they appear to feel uncomfortable when you are near .Sometimes people have even said things like "I don't like the look in your eyes because it makes me feel uncomfortable".
  12. Yes I alway wonder how people rationalise their behaviour away. IF something is described as an abomination to God how could it suddenly not still be an abomination?
  13. I think it has increased but also a lot more of it has come out of hiding too. The biggest problem is that the general population has become increasing accepting of that behaviour even when they don't themselves participate. Turning a blind eye doesn't work! Its not tolerance its stupidity, probably with a side dish of vanity and self-centredness.
  14. I believe that here the context is that the image is being used as a focus of worship which is clearly wrong. Some have tried to say that you can't make any image of any living thing, so a painting of a person or a horse is not allowed for e.g.. That's clearly wrong. Lets face it in Exodus 25:18–22 God instructed the making of images of cherubim. So that can't be the correct interpretation as God would not contradict Himself would he?
  15. If your goal is to calculate the time since Adam you have a few other problems since there are multiple ideas on various time periods throughout. I don't think we can definitively say what year we are in, in that sense.
  16. From what has been said I don't think it tis lost yet but they both really need to have an honest thought and discussion about it.
  17. I guess trawling is the way they fished. I would never troll puppies
  18. I guess trawling is the way they fished.
  19. At first I thought that trolls only live under bridges. But then the internet is full of bridges so it almost a natural home for them Lots of us express opinions that may or may not be "popular" but thats okay. Some appear to get quite upset about it. The easy way to spot a troll is that they never support their contentions with real facts since thats their whole point, to create contention. One way to deal with them is to ignore them. Another way is to offer up facts and support to show they are wrong. No point to lose your cool, just keep showing their errors.
  20. That sounds like something from Douglas Adams
  21. That is a terrible mistake to make, we should aspire to do better. Perhaps then we would understand better.
  22. Oh no you've reminded me of the 39-fingered Neptunians I mentioned on another board long ago. It was a hint that no-one seemed to get about using base-39 counting but thats another long story
  23. You know this actually make more sense to me than the other posters random list of numbers. Should I be concerned?
  24. Nostradamus was just another occultist. All his quatrains or whatever they were called were written vaguely enough so that people could subsequently "interpret" them to fit the events. Sounds like class con artistry. The best use of Nostradamus was by Australian comedian Paul Hogan. Everbody at the time was talking about the one about the 3 brothers obtaining the highest office in the land..etc All the pundits thought that would mean Ed Kennedy would become president as, at the time, he was still active in politics. However, Hoges pointed out that the pundits had got it all wrong. The "highest office in the land" was obviously not the American presidency, it was in fact the Captaincy of the Australian national cricket team. You see Ian Chappel had been the previous captain and now brother Greg was the captain and younger brother Trevor had recently joined the national squad. So obviously once Trevor became captain the world would be doomed. As a post script, like Ed Kennedy, he never did get the job!
  25. I know what a city state is but I have found nothing to indicate that such a thing exists in London. As I understand it, London is a part of the UK. So again where did you get anything to support your contention?
