  16. Hello there, I have been reading the prayer of Ephesians chapter 1:17+ this morning and acknowledging afresh the necessity for the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ, for it is beyond the capacity of any one of us to comprehend the things of God, or to know Christ, without this spirit. I have had to remind myself yet again, that it is not a matter of feeling, or of experiencing: but of believing and acknowledging; trusting and walking by faith in the faithful inner-working of God the Holy Spirit, Who takes of the things of Christ and makes them ours, as we read, and acknowledge by faith, the truths of His Word. How necessary it is that we are 'strengthened with might in our inner man, that Christ may dwell in our hearts by faith' (Ephesians 3:16-17) . That strengthening is so very important, isn't it? For Jesus Christ is Lord, and requires that He be Lord of our lives. So, that, like Paul, it is no longer I that lives, but Christ that lives in me. Conformity to the Lordship of Christ in heart and life is characterised by a lowly and gentle spirit, which is strong in faith, and endures unto the end. 'I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.' (Ephesians 4:1-7) Praise God! May His will be done.
  17. 'For this cause (see 2:11-22) .. I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, .... Of Whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That He would grant you, .. according to the riches of His glory, .... to be strengthened with might ...... by His Spirit ........ in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; .. that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, .... May be able to comprehend with all saints ...... what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, .. which passeth knowledge, .... that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.' (Ephesians 3:14-19) Praise God!
  18. 'And many other signs truly did Jesus .. in the presence of His disciples, .... which are not written in this book: But these are written, .. that ye might believe .... that Jesus is the Christ, ...... the Son of God; and that believing .. ye might have life .... through His name.' (John 20:30-31) Praise God!
  19. 'And the breasts and the right shoulder .. Aaron waved for a wave offering before the LORD; .... as Moses commanded. And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, .. and came out, and blessed the people: .... and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people. And there came a fire out from before the LORD, ... and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: .... which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.' (Leviticus 9:21-24) Praise God!
  20. 'He slew also the bullock and the ram .. for a sacrifice of peace offerings, .... which was for the people: and Aaron's sons presented unto him the blood, .. which he sprinkled upon the altar round about, And the fat of the bullock and of the ram, the rump, .. and that which covereth the inwards, .... and the kidneys, ...... and the caul above the liver: And they put the fat upon the breasts, .. and he burnt the fat upon the altar:' (Leviticus 9:18-20) Praise God!
  21. 'And he brought the people's offering, .. and took the goat, .... which was the sin offering for the people, ...... and slew it, ........ and offered it for sin, as the first. And he brought the burnt offering, .. and offered it according to the manner. And he brought the meat offering, .. and took an handful thereof, .... and burnt it upon the altar, ...... beside the burnt sacrifice of the morning.' (Leviticus 9:15) Praise God!
  22. 'And it came to pass on the eighth day, .. that Moses called Aaron and his sons, .... and the elders of Israel; And he said unto Aaron, .. "Take thee a young calf for a sin offering, .... and a ram for a burnt offering, ...... without blemish, ........ and offer them before the LORD. And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, .. Take ye a kid of the goats for a sin offering; .... and a calf and a lamb, ...... both of the first year, ........ without blemish, .......... for a burnt offering; Also a bullock and a ram for peace offerings, .. to sacrifice before the LORD; .... and a meat offering mingled with oil: ...... for to day the LORD will appear unto you. And they brought that which Moses commanded .. before the tabernacle of the congregation: .... and all the congregation drew near ...... and stood before the LORD.' (Leviticus 9:1-5) Praise God!
