(Psalm 111:2) 'The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. ' (Psalm 12:6-7) * God's Works and His Words are perfect. - Praise God!
  8. 'But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. (Proverbs 4:18) 'To declare, I say, at this time His righteousness: that He might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.' (Romans 3:26)

And he shall bring a ram .. without blemish out of the flock, .... with thy estimation, ...... for a trespass offering, ........ unto the priest: and the priest .. shall make an atonement for him .... concerning his ignorance ...... wherein he erred and wist it not, ........ and it shall be forgiven him. It is a trespass offering: he hath certainly trespassed against the LORD.' (Leviticus 5:17-19) Praise God!
  10. But if he be not able to bring two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he that sinned shall bring for his offering the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering; he shall put no oil upon it, neither shall he put any frankincense thereon: for it is a sin offering. Then shall he bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it, even a memorial thereof, and burn it on the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto the LORD: it is a sin offering. And the priest shall make an atonement for him as touching his sin that he hath sinned in one of these, and it shall be forgiven him: and the remnant shall be the priest's, as a meat offering. (Leviticus 5:11-13) Praise God!
  11. And he shall bring them unto the priest, who shall offer that which is for the sin offering first, and wring off his head from his neck, but shall not divide it asunder: And he shall sprinkle of the blood of the sin offering upon the side of the altar; and the rest of the blood shall be wrung out at the bottom of the altar: it is a sin offering. And he shall offer the second for a burnt offering, according to the manner: and the priest shall make an atonement for him for his sin which he hath sinned, and it shall be forgiven him. (Leviticus 5:8-10) Praise God!
  12. And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin. And if he be not able to bring a lamb, then he shall bring for his trespass, which he hath committed, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, unto the LORD; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering. (Leviticus- 5:6-7) Praise God!
  13. Laws For Sin Offerings (cont: ...) And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity. Or if a soul touch any unclean thing, whether it be a carcase of an unclean beast, or a carcase of unclean cattle, or the carcase of unclean creeping things, and if it be hidden from him; he also shall be unclean, and guilty. Or if he touch the uncleanness of man, whatsoever uncleanness it be that a man shall be defiled withal, and it be hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty. Or if a soul swear, pronouncing with his lips to do evil, or to do good, whatsoever it be that a man shall pronounce with an oath, and it be hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty in one of these. And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing: And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin. (Leviticus 5:1-5) Praise God! If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. (1 John 1:8-10)
  14. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, .. Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: .... According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, ...... that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: ...... Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, .... according to the good pleasure of His will, .. To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved. (Ephesians 1:3-6) Praise God!

  16. And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar: And he shall take away all the fat thereof, .. as the fat of the lamb is taken away from the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest shall burn them upon the altar, .. according to the offerings made by fire unto the LORD: and the priest shall make an atonement for his sin that he hath committed, and it shall be forgiven him. 18. But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. and not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the at-one-ment.' (Romans 5:8-11) Hello there, "Thank you" to everyone who has taken part so far, for sharing your thoughts as you have. ? * When, @In Him, shared Romans 5:10 on 'the Bible verse sharing thread', it caused me to stop and look at just what the words were saying: for we had been reading through Leviticus, and had just read Leviticus 4:6 within the context of instruction regarding the sin offering: 'And the priest shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle of the blood seven times before the LORD, before the vail of the sanctuary.' In reference to. 'the vail of the sanctuary', I had noted that it was a 'type' of the perfect humanity of Christ (Hebrews 10:19-20), which was of no avail for the purpose of atonement without blood. That we are saved by His death and not by His life, quoting Ephesians 2:13:- 'But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.' Yet this verse @In Him had quoted from Romans 5 said that, 'we shall be saved by His life', which seemed to contradict what I had said. So I created this thread in order to discuss it. * Looking at Romans 5:10 'For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. ' - reconciliation had already been achieved for those to whom Paul wrote, these were believers in the Lord Jesus Christ so were partakers of that reconciliation. Christ had been put to death, His blood had been shed on their behalf, but He had risen from the grave and ascended up, far above all heavens to the Father's right hand (Heb.10:2) . This now is one of God's, 'much more's'- For It was Christ's resurrection life, working in those believers, which would ensure that they too would one day live with Him, and share His resurrection life. For had they not died with Christ? Been buried, quickened, and raised with Him? In the reckoning of God . * Later in the epistle to the Colossians, the fact that our life is hid with Christ in God is revealed (Colossians 3:3), that by Gods reckoning the members of Christs Body are already seated with Christ their Head at God's right hand - in God's sight (Ephesians 2:4-7) : and we are to actively reckon on that truth too: and live in the light of it by faith; as those who are risen from the dead; and who now walk before the Father in newness of life, in Him (Romans 6:4). * So, Praise God! There is no contradiction! Just two sides of the same coin. Thank you @In Him, In Christ Jesus Chris
  19. '... even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but He that believeth not is condemned already, because He hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.' (John 3:14b -18) Hello @Wayne222, When the Lord comes next, He will come in judgement and the 'day' of grace will have passed. God desires that none should perish, but that all should come to a knowledge of His saving grace. He is patiently giving us time. So, though I want Him to come, yet I have loved ones who need His salvation, and am grateful that - now is still the day of salvation. 'The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.' (2 Peter 3:9) Praise God! Thank you. In Christ Jesus Chris
  20. 'And he shall burn all his fat upon the altar, * as the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings: .... and the priest shall make an atonement for him as concerning his sin, ........ and it shall be forgiven him.' (Leviticus 4:26) Praise God! * Leviticus 3:3-5 I think of Romans 3:21-26 and Romans 5:11:- 'And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by Whom we have now received the atonement.' (Romans 5:11)
  21. The Law for Sin Offerings (cont ... ) 'When a ruler hath sinned, .. and done somewhat through ignorance .... against any of the commandments of the LORD his God ...... concerning things which should not be done, and is guilty; Or if his sin, wherein he hath sinned, come to his knowledge; .. he shall bring his offering, .... a kid of the goats, a male without blemish: And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the goat, .. and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before the LORD: .... it is a sin offering. And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, .. and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, .... and shall pour out his blood at the bottom of the altar of burnt offering.' (Leviticus 4:22-25) Praise God! * The same process, for Pauper or Prince. Except in the case of a Prince it has to be a male 'kid of the goats', whereas for the common-man (v.28), it must be a female 'kid of the goats'.
  22. I am sure @turtletwo, and @In Him would agree that you did not upset the flow,@Not me. Your post was appreciated. I started the thread in the General Discussion forum, in order to facilitate further expressions of thought regarding that verse, not because of your post, but to join you in your consideration of it. Much love to you too.
