    Lust

I'm not a guy, but I will tell you the same thing that holds true for women, and married folks...set aside a time of fasting and prayer. Set yourself like a flint toward the Lord with the desire to live a holy and godly life...making Jesus your First Love! FLEEEEEEE fornication...look to Joseph and Potiphors wife as a great example...if someone comes to mind, pray for that person and move on. Our God will not allow us to be tempted beyond our ability....according to His word and a promise to us...HE will make a way of escape.
  3. I want hell to tremble when I pray and put a thousand to flight! That is a dangerous place for the devil to be when Christians pray! At the name of Jesus demons have to flee.
  4. Looking at all the news and what is taking place around the world and in our own nation I believe we need to take a close look at these scriptures below, and keep them safely tucked into our hearts as we who know Jesus can clearly see the day is approaching, and our Lord could catch away His Bride any day now, and the anti- christ step on the scene for his short lived season. BUT as we wait and look for the Masters return, we need to stay in the Word!! LIKE 4:32 "And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power." Proverbs 4 1Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. 2For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law. Isaiah 29:23-24 (King James Version) 23But when he seeth his children, the work of mine hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel. 24They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine. 2 Timothy 4:9-16 (King James Version) 9Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. 10For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: 11Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. 12One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, the Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. 13This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; 14Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. 15Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. 16They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. Titus 2 (King James Version) 1But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: 2That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. 3The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; 4That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. 6Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded. 7In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, 8Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. 9Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again; 10Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things. 11For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. 15These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee There are more scriptures on doctrine and sound doctrine. Please take the time to look them up on your won and study them out. STAY IN THE WORD! OCCUPY ... SPREAD THE GOOD NEWS ... JESUS SAVES
  5. Please forgive me everyone. I did not mean to start a thread that would turn into a big argument.

    Not again

There was a time in this nation the American Flag was held in high esteem because of what and who it represents. There was a time the name of Jesus was held in high regard in this nation because of Who He is...and He is the only answer.
  7. 1 Corinthians 11 (Amplified Bible) 16Now if anyone is disposed to be argumentative and contentious about this, we hold to and recognize no other custom [in worship] than this, nor do the churches of God generally.
  8. post has been deleted by me because it is not worth arguing over.
  9. If a everything Jesus did was recorded the world could not contain all the books. It is safe to say He spoke the language of His parents as His native tongue, and that He could speak any language He wanted, too, if He so chose, through the Spirit.
  10. Whenever we see the names of God we can quickly denote a charactor trait of God. In Exodus He is called Jealous because He wants to show us Who He is in respect to the very first commandment. If we look at and even experience Him through each name, we learn of Him, and His promises, and as we gain a deeper knowledge we come to the understanding that He is the Alpha and the Omega...He is everything to the believer. He is I AM!!!! and His name is Jesus!
  11. It is said that if we were to help the butterfly remove itself from the cocoon, the butterfly would not be strong enough to survive. It is the struggle that prepares the butterfly to become strong enough to fly. Without the struggle in the cocoon, it could not survive as a butterfly. The Lord prepares each of us in similar ways. Some of our childhoods seem to have been harsh and born from a seemingly unloving God. However, the Lord knows our struggle and will make our life an instrument in His hand if we will follow Him with an upright heart. He does make all things beautiful in His time if we are willing to be patient. ...excerpt Os Hillman
  12. I BELIEVE WHAT MUST WE BE DOING IN THIS LATE HOUR CAN BE SUMMED UP IN TWO WORDS..............LOOKING.........OCCUPY Titus 2:12-14 (King James Version) 12Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. Jude 1:20-22 (King James Version) 20But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, 21Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22And of some have compassion, making a difference: 2 PETER 3 17Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. 18But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. Luke 19:12-14 (King James Version) 12He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. 13And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, OCCUPY TIL I COME. OUR GOD IS SO VERY GOOD!!! :-)
  13. Romans 10:8-10 (New King James Version) 8 But what does it say?
