As I said, show me the insults. I call many "Haters", and they truly ARE. That is not an insult.
-
I honestly wish you guys would show me these insults. I have repeatedly asked to be shown what I said that was wrong, and thus far no one has not shown me one single thing. There may be some, but I have seen nothing but refusal to tell me what I have done wrong.

Well, I just experienced another "almost" crisis of faith.

He came to seek and save the lost (because of The Fall) by living and dying as a sinless man. -

Under what was being discussed, it seems to say that however The Word became the human manchild, Jesus, was something God orchestrated. -

I wonder if the Mexican men named Jesus carry the same meaning? Some I have met on construction sites sure don't seem like God with us. -

…… and, even "Yeshua" is not what I have seen His Aramaic name was. (That is just going by what I have seen online, so who knows?) -

Since you seem to like to play games of "splitting hairs", the humanly-born man "Jesus" did not exist until He (The Word. or Logos) was physically birthed and received the name "Jesus", that His Earthly parents were told to give Him. (and even though some of us think it was, His name wasn't even called "Jesus.") -

I'd have to say that maybe you haven't read it as closely as you could if you don't know that it speaks directly to "being made." (In verses 9, 10, and 17) -

But, understanding that scares some people. Remember, a lot of people's conversions were based mainly in fear, and I guess it is hard to break the mindset. -

Well, what you have done is frightened some people who automatically think it is somehow blasphemy to say that Jesus was made a man so that He could be a sacrifice for us. -

This is Biblically accurate. -

The Bible tells us the blood of animals was both temporary (had to keep being done periodically) and incomplete, in that it only erased some physical sins... didn't change hearts nor grant Salvation. -

I can see what you mean about a "human sacrifice" religion.. The Bible plainly tells us Jesus was a sacrifice.... and that such sacrifice had to be in blood (death) of a human being. And the Bible does tell us Jesus was fully human and fully God. None of those things can, IMO, be disputed. -

This should cover most of what anyone may need.... probably both pro and con. https://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&aq=hts&oq=&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4GGLS_enUS721US722&q=Bart+Ehrman&gws_rd=ssl -
Well, I have a tendency to take it back to the cross when Jesus did not wish any animosity, at all, upon "the little antiChrists" murdering Him, but instead, asked His Father to "forgive them." We do seem to very consistently retaliate directly and specifically against the human beings we interact with, all the while uttering the same old thing about loving the sinner (them), but hating the sin. Yet, we seldom see any loving directed toward anyone we think is wrong in their thoughts or actions. ("Wrong" = Thinks differently than I do.) I think the "heaping of coals" that God will reward is friendliness toward enemies, and working hard to help them come to an understanding of the desire to change their way because of a new heart. Unfortunately, I see far too much "wanting to get even", and "give them what they have been giving." I see the same thing when desiring just the opposite of what Jesus taught, by claiming a desire to ride in a physical/Spiritual army, and physically slice and slaughter other living human beings on this earth with swords while on horseback. (Yes, I know what the sword really means... but many are hoping for a tool of war and destruction in their hands.) I think many see the coals as "payback" and vindication.
-
Do you feel, as I do, that most of us often place the wrong meaning on that "heaping burning coals on his head" saying..... both when it appears in Proverbs, and when it is repeated by Paul in Romans?
-
And there are the "classic" Christians curses we often sign our posts with, such as, "Bless you!" or "Praying for you!" Boy don't we ever deny THOSE were anything but just our "warm Christian hearts" reaching out to others? Sometimes I think we lie to ourselves even more than we do to others.

I think God has us moving through life, learning from the places He has us at certain times, and then, if more is waiting for us at another place, moving us on to learn more at each new place in life He leads us.

A very expressive young fellow.

It means you are waiting for something to happen that already occurred 2,000 years ago.

I actually find that I agree with that segment of your post.
