  1. I am curious about what others think about how long we have until we start the final 7 years. My understanding of current events and biblical text lead me to believe it is anywhere from 4 to 10 years, maybe less, but definitely in my lifetime. Do others think it is right around the corner? Or do some believe we are still decades away, in light of all that has to happen.
  2. I still don't see how you think we won't have flesh. Didn't Jesus' resurrected body demonstrate what we shall be after resurrection? Luke 24:39 - But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. 38. And He said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? 39. Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself: handle Me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see Me have. flesh and BONE, not flesh and blood
  3. Yes, He said "before I formed you in the womb, I knew you" First, decide who God was talking to/about. Wasn't it Jesus? I think you'll find that so many passages from the Prophets and, only a small exaggeration to say nearly all, the Psalms, the person being spoken to is Jesus. Really, this discussion is unnecessary because, unless I'm mistaken, the only person that matters to God, is Jesus Christ. why else: "Christ in us, the Hope of Glory" ?
  4. A very timely question. I was just re-reading the January 2017 Voice of Elijah newsletter where the main article is titled, The Ongoing Battle for Your Soul. Another one is called The Enemy Always Uses Camouflage. So this should give you some idea of what it's about. You have to order the newsletter ($6) on voiceofelijah.org but here is an excerpt from it: When James says "You sinners cleanse your hands and you double minded purify your hearts, he is referring to the results that stem from "wants" and "doubts". Sin results from allowing wants to remain, and contamination of the Truth results from allowing doubts to remain.
  5. I think there is one very useful bible passage for you right now: Colossians 3 3 Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 [a]Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. 3 For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. and...I found another: Philippians 3:20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;
  6. why would you automatically assume they wouldn't want to talk to you? Why don't you introduce yourself and start a conversation? Then, you might have a chance to actually get to know them. They might be just as fascinated as you.
  7. Here are bible verses that you need to memorize ASAP: 4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! 5 Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. 9 The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. Philipians 4
  8. I totally agree that we have to be 'shrewed as serpents, like Jesus said and not believe just anything because there are a lot of false witnesses. Because of these words of Jesus "knock, and the door will be opened", and elsewhere, especially in Proverbs, I do believe that God gives understanding to those who honestly seek it.
  9. If you are looking for the Truth, the whole truth, nothing but the Truth, I highly recommend the straight, biblical teaching that I get from The Voice of Elijah. There are newsletters every month and plenty of books, both free and for purchase. You can start by getting a free copy of Christ and Antichrist by checking out their website at voice of elijah.org (I left spaces so it wouldn't link). Or if you want to check it out right now, they have uploaded The Old Testament Gospel of Jesus Christ to YouTube. but whenever you search it, you have to search Voice of Elijah Inc.
  10. Sadly, I can't think that America is any different than anywhere else and, clearly, that day of judgment is coming for us all. It didn't happen today, but it could still happen tonight. Today was an opportunity for repentance, for an escape from that judgment, as is every day that the judgment does not occur. You must "come out of her, my people" (rev 18). We have got to start thinking the way God thinks. If you want to know the way God thinks, you need to comprehend His Word. I'm thankful I'm on that path, since I started studying with the Voice of Elijah. check it out. voiceofelijah. org.
  11. Great article. I know people who can't repent. They believe there is a God and they want to do the right things that the Bible tells them. But they can never honestly say "I am a sinner. All my righteousness is like filthy rags before God." They can't let the conviction work in their lives because it tells them they're not OK. If they would just let the conviction tell the story of their utter despicability, then they could be honest before God, saying "Thou only art holy...just and true are Your ways, O King of the nations!" (rev 17) Then, they could set about having the mind of Christ, becoming a new creation, by believing the same things that Jesus Christ believed.
  12. I enjoyed your post. I also have learned that the pyramids and all that area was built before the flood. I also never get enough of reading about the New Jerusalem although it is so mysterious. One of my personal favorites as regards the mysterious, is Ezekiel's description of a temple in chapters 40-44. I love to read it because it causes me to dwell on the awesomeness of God, even though I don't dare to speculate about it. I do know, however, that the Scriptures are being unveiled in these last days and that it may not be long before we can know more because Daniel said, " But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. " ''
  13. I couldn't agree more. Deception is the greatest threat to our eternal souls. Only those who believe the truth shall be saved. We can't be intellectually lazy about finding the truth and holding on to it with all our strength. I started to add some NT verses about truth, but there were too many. Right beside the threat of deception is the threat of speculation. Too many pastors and teachers want to speculate about what the bible teaches. We are explicitly warned about that. We can't listen to it. If we don't "Know" beyond a shadow of a doubt, we need to leave it alone until we do know since Jesus teaches that all things will eventually be made known. There's only one place I go to now to hear teaching. Voiceofelijah.org. There, I know I'll hear nothing but the Truth.
