  1. 5 wounds of Christ??? What exactly are they?
  2. Prayer is a form or type of worship. In the Roman Catholic Churches teaching and doctrine Mary is given a venerated position in thier life of faith. Not only is she given a venerated postion in Roman Catholic doctrine and dogma, she is also taught to be in a position equal to that of God the Father, since she was the "mother of Christ" or catachismically, "the Mother of God" - giving the Divinity of Jesus. This can all be found by reading and studying the Catachism of the Roman Catholic Church. In it, you will also find the requirements one has to meet in order to achieve the state of "Sainthood". This is another of thier doctrines called the "Veneration of the Saints". This, Veneration of the Saints is a way that the followers of The Holy Roman Catholic Church are taught that they should pray to, using written liturgical prayers, as a way of penance in order for a speedy escape from purgatory. There really is no easy way to explain the Veneration of the Saints or the equality of Mary to God, being the Mother of Jesus, without taking all the doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church into consideration in order to fully understand why they teach what they teach. The "bashing" of Roman Catholocism comes when someone doesn't have a thourough understanding of the entire, overall doctrine(s) of the Roman Catholic Church. When they just pull one or two items from the Catachism and launch an attack. I have found that this is very sad when done in the name of "witnessing" to them, it does more harm than good. As a side-note, in Roman Catholic dotrine Mary is also taught to be a perpetual virgin. Blessings, David
  3. Friend, I am in a sort of similar situation myself, financially. I don't know how He does it, but I do know that God is faithful and never fails, nor is He ever late. My prayers are with you and your family. Don't give up, it is going to get better soon, real soon. Praying.........

    Apostasy

What exactly is this Biblical Apostasy? I have heard and understand that it is a "falling away from the Faith". So, I guess my question is actually: Those who commit this act (Apostasy), are they Believers? Or were they only pretending to believe? Were they saved, or Born Again? Just curious as to what some on this board thinks about this, and why, and what Scriptures support what you believe about it?

    Why prophecy

I know that you don't understand Daniel 2: 36-45. If you did, you wouldn't be saying these things in this thread of yours. I see you are new here. The loving Christian thing to do if you are correct would be to take the trouble of explaining your view in a caring way and not just put yourself above others and put down others. Yes, I am new here as you know. What I say, or have said, is not designed to lift me up or put anyone down. The purpose is intended to cause us to think, for it is the system in which we have been raised that is the problem, not the saints of God. During the dark ages the only place to worship was in a fallen system that was far from the Truth. That is not to say that there isn't any Truth, such as the salvation message, in the systems which we have today but outside of that there are great problems with doctrines and teachings. And, I know that this statement will again cause offense for it is certainly hard to question things that we have been taught all our lives. Just like those who still adhere to the teachings of that church system out of which Martin Luther came out of. Yours in Christ. Please, I ask this as respectful as I possibly can. Do Not even attempt to put yourself on or even anywhere near the status, stature, or around the foundation upon which those stand of The Great's of the Faith for which we so earnestly contend! One's such as you mentioned Matin Luther, and John Calvin, Jacobus Arminius, St. Paul, Peter, James and John, John Wesley, Johnathan Edwards, Charles Spurgeon, Billy Graham, St. Augustine, and the like. Especially, especially after the posts you have made, and the absurd, asinine, and ludicrous twisting of the Holy Scriptures as you have done. Thank You, David
  6. If anyone worships their beliefs, there is a problem - even if the belief is truth. Do you worship your beliefs? Do you "embrace, hold dear, speak well" of your beliefs? If so, your beliefs are idols. Did you ever see me defending the "Lucifer" position? I don't know if this is the first message board you have been on, but I'd recommend you build relationships on the boards before you dump on people with your superior knowledge of Scripture. (That's how it comes across.) When people see that you are a caring person, they will be more likely to engage in true dialogue. When a stranger walks in the door coming to teach us and straighten us out (as you did), it turns everyone off. AMEN!!!
  7. In every way. It was because of Adam's "fall" that the curse came upon the earth, else-wise there would be no natural catastrophes, floods, hurricanes, etc. It is the very nature of Adam, which we inherited, that has shook kingdoms and destroyed cities. It was Adam that caused this world to become a wilderness. When Adam died WE ALL died in him, and he had no ability to open the house of the Adamic man and allow us, his prisoners, to go home. But, thank God for the Lord Jesus, the Last Adam, for His sacrifice and faithfulness unto death. For, "When He ascended up on high, HE LED CAPTIVITY CAPTIVE, and gave gifts unto men." (Eph 4:8) Now, for the first time since Adam fell can we go home again. THANK YOU JESUS! What do you think it's talking about when it says that, He led captivity captive?
  8. Well, none of these questions plague me. Maybe "plague" was a bad choice of words. I guess the proper would be concern. So, do any of these questions cause you concern, and if not why not? None of the questions concern me. First of all none of them concern whether or not I am saved, so they are secondary knowledge to know. the verses in Ezekiel are discussing a being that was a covering cherub, and was present in the garden, and existed before the earth was created in Genesis. It really doesn't matter to me whether we call him the devil, or Satan, or Lucifer or butt head....... we're still talking about the same entity. We're told that we see and interface with angels in this life and we would not know it so I do not have a problem with him or any other angel being the king or head of a state., It's simple metaphysical to look at each scripture and see how it fits into the rest of scripture and reconciling the differences. Sometimes one has to go back to the Hebrew and Greek to see some of the things and how they relate. While Satan was removed from his position as covering cherub, it's very obvious to me that he still has access to heaven. It will not be until the very end that he is confined to this dimension and thrown out of heaven/heavens. That time will come in the very near future. God is using our world and our existence as a lesson to the entire universe as to the outcome of letting something like Lucifer control anything. He's going to let him pretty much destroy everything before he steps in and puts a stop to all the nonsense. those of us who have chosen to follow Jesus will be rewarded in the end and all the hassle we've been through won't really seem that big of a deal. The second thing God is doing is making a group of entities to judge the angels. While God himself truly is capable of doing so, Him being a just and fair entity is not going to be the one/ones to condemn the angels. He even made us unqualified to be judges in the beginning as to not knowing right from wrong, and it was Lucifer/Satan himself that made it possible for us to be qualified as the jury to set in judgment of their rebellion. I don't have a problem with the questions because I have read the Bible many times and read/listened to the new testament hundreds of times over the past 50 years. I have also read through the books such as Enoch, Jasher and Jubilees and decided though they are not inspired of God, they are information that was put down by people who followed God and are as likely to be based on fact as much as is the news in the New York times. I have also looked very deep into the dark side and know from personal first hand experience how it works and the overall objectives of their plans.. So I have a complete story structure of belief from before creation of the Universe and for eternity after it's destroyed and rebuilt. I have Jesus and am a freely volunteered bond servant to him, so I have no long term worries. I just have to manage to suffer through the next few years until my master returns. Like Paul I do not have a problem with being sent into his presence before that time. I do need to stay here for something or else he'd not have spared my life so many times. AMEN!!!

    Why prophecy

Just thought I would throw my 2 cents in here after reading all of these posts and replys. I personally, do not think that the white horse in Rev 6, is refering to Jesus Christ at all. Rather, it is plain to see that the White Horse in Rev 19, is different from the previous one mentioned in Rev 6; and that the riders of the two horses are different in the fact that was mentioned in an earlier post. The identifying characteristics of who the riders are on the horses, is derived from the description of what tools and weapons of warfare they are carrying. Just compare the two. After I did this, I have come to conclude that the First White Horse mentioned in Rev. 6, is the Anti-Christ, and that the Second White Horse mentioned in Rev.19, is The Lord of lords, and the King of Kings, Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I can see a similarity in the likeness of the two, from the two different passages. Just a couple of things to consider, the rider on the White Horse in Rev6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. It says that he has a bow, and a crown, and that he went forth conquering and to conquer. I find it rather interesting to see that he has a bow, but no arrows. And we should all know that a bow with no arrows is absolutely useless. The crown he has here is signifying his Political Power, and Authority. The going forth conquering and to conquer, speaks of his conquering the nations of the world, and the "conquer" has the same connotation as the "conquering". We have to remember that anything that satan does is only a perversion of what God has created and meant for good. I think that this is the main reason that we see the Anti-Christ here revealed as riding on a White Horse, as a copy of the White Horse of Righteousness that Jesus Christ is coming back riding on. I also believe that this "conquering" and to "conquer", will be a non-hostile, non-military, peaceful, usurption of power of the nations of the world, into the One Global World, or the New World Order that we see coming to pass in the present days. In Christ, David
  10. We are in 100% agreement here. The radio show that I gave the link to in another different post, Coast to Coast am, have a wide variety of guests on at different times. I have heard some of these self proclaimed, "Astrology Experts" many times. I put NO CREEDENCE into anything they have to say, but I do find it interesting that I haven't heard a single one of them mention this fact of the magnetic pole shifting. Interesting...
  11. It is rather interesting that when you study the 12 Tribes of Israel, if you do a comparison of the 12 tribes with the 12 signs of the zodiak, you will see that each of the signs of the zodiak correspond to one of the 12 tribes of Israel. It is a very in-depth and pretty complex study, but interesting none-the-less. Just some food for thought. In Christ, David

    Why prophecy

Ok, well this is what I remember the guy on the radio saying. I'm pulling this from memory, so bare with me. Also, I am not saying that this is definitively what the "Mark of the Beast" is, or will be, but it is something that is worth considering not to mention highly plausible. He was talking about how the U.S. Government is so corrupt, and has been for many years hiding things from the general American Public. Things such as technological advances in the area of military warfare and weaponery, scientific and medical advances for cures of common diseases that people are dying from each and every day, secret societies and organizations, and many different things like that. But this one point about the Mark of the Beast came up and he told the DJ, that what he sees as the Mark of the Beast is a small, tiny, microscopic microchip that can be injected into a persons right hand by a syringe containing a harmless saline solution. Now instead of the solution being something as harmless as saline, he was saying that with the advances in Biological and Chemical warfare, that the U.S. Government is going to institute or begin a National Flu epedemic by releasing into the mainstream public square, a strain of a genetically altered flu virus, and that the only "cure" or "treatment" of this new flu strain is going to be a vaccine that the Government already has stockpiled in their many secret underground bunkers and military storage facilities. When the Government feels that the time is right, they are going to release this strain of flu, and when people go to get the vaccine from the Government, it will only be able to be given in an injectible form, and will be given in the top or back side of the persons right hand. So, while the general American public are thinking that they are getting a vaccine flu shot, they will unknowingly be getting this microscopic microchip injected into their right hands at the same time. Once the vaccine for this special flu has been depleted, then the government will announce to the general public, that with the vaccine they recieved for the flu they were injected with a microchip. He went on to say that this microchip is what is known in the technology world as a "smart chip", and if someone was to cut off their right hand the microchip would become docile and basically self-destruct. Once this happens the Government will be notified automatically that the person is out of compliance, and the Government Agents will be all over this person like white on rice. I'm more personally inclined to believe that instead of it being done "unknowingly" to the recipients of the vaccine and then announced at a later date, that when a person goes to get the vaccine they will have to sign some papers stating that they pledge their allegiance to the Government. Either the New World Order, or whatever they decide to call it. If the person swears allegiance to the Government it will be required to renounce ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING ELSE the person is loyal to. This would require Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, and any other religion to deny the existence of their respective God, or gods; and allegiance to these Dieties and thereby swearing sole allegiance to the "State" or Government. And as we know, if one should refuse to deny allegiance to the Government that one will be executed by beheading. Yes, the infamous Guillotine. Again I am not saying that this is the way, or method that the Mark of the Beast will come to pass, but all one has to do is compare current world events with the end time Bible prophecies. I'm just saying that it's something that we should consider and something that is plausible. In Christ, David P.S. - As a sidenote, all of the technology needed to accomplish a feat such as this is already widely available.

What was the gist, or do you not think you should post it on the forum? I didn't know if the topics discussed on this station were completely acceptable on the boards, that is why I posted the "warning" before the link. But the main gist that I got from the radio show that night was the instution of the "Mark of the Beast", and the way that it is going to be implemented.

    Why prophecy

Let's talk about this. The context of the statement was that within the 40 year period, as set forth by the majority of the end time teachers, this would not be so. The mark of the beast is even now in place and we do not see it. In so far as the book being for sale I'm unsure as to how there are any copies available, as I personally have all that were published, or at least I thought so. I do think that God can and does speak to people, however, I know that sometimes we "expand" on what God said, in an effort to explain, and sometimes the explanation changes what God might have been trying to say. The mark of the beast (666) is one of the troubling and difficult-to-fully-understand references, and your explanation, while creative, still leaves some serious questions, such as... If a person takes the mark, he/she will drink of the wine of the wrath of God (Rev 14:9-10). If a person does not take the mark, he/she can not buy or sell (Rev 13:17). So here is the question.... If the mark of the beast is now in place, somehow yet unseen, how are we impacted in the buying/selling area, and how does not taking this mark work if it cannot be seen, and there appears to be no visible gain or loss of ability to buy and sell? These are some really good questions that you bring up. I have also wondered about such things because of different statements made by different people in the past, and being very curious myself, and having read and studied the many different view points concerning eschatology and the study of the end times; I have something that may be of interest on this topic, that surprisingly to me, cover the points that your questions bring up. Now before I post this link, I must say this concerning this link. Not everything this radio station or this website says can be taken as Gospel Truth, I myself take EVERYTHING I hear on this station with a grain of salt, and I suggest that anyone who listens to this do likewise. But, be that as it may, as I was running my paper route the other night I was tuned in to this station and heard this guy speak about many different things. The radio show turned out to be very interesting to say the least. If you do click on this link and listen to this guys different points, you have to do so with an open mind. http://www.coasttocoastam.com/show/2011/01/06 If for some odd and precarious reason that the link is deleted or removed, you may contact me via email for the information. 16. sdktlk, brother or sister (according to your profile, it's unknown), I see that you have been with us here at Worthy less than a month now, and while I do admire you for asking these highly debatable, non salvation issue questions (after having read through all your posts and only replying to a few), I must admit that I am very curious as to your primary motivation for asking such questions. What is your purpose? Is it to acutally, really "learn" and grow in your relationship with the Lord? Is it really, as you have stated in many places, "to get us to think about" the elementary, and sometimes traditional teachings of the Church and Christianity since the founding and birth of the Church on the Day of Pentecost? To really examine what we as Christians have been taught over the years, and handed down as Doctrine and Dogma from the early Church Fathers, to be sure, beyond the shadow of a doubt that what we have been taught and are believing really is the Truth? Or are you here to sow seeds of discord within the Body of Christ, and to nurture those seeds of discord into healthy, mature, thriving weeds of doubt into the lives of the Babes in Christ and those seeking the knowledge of the Truth, not to mention those seeking salvation, who are yet unsaved? I do pray that it is the former and not the latter. And the reason that I say what I have thus far said, is the simple fact that either discord is your primary motivation, or your Theology is truly off base, and happenstance at best. I say this as humbly as I can, and take no glory for myself, but give all credit and glory to God, but I was called (by God) into the Minstry 8 years ago, and have since become Licensed and Ordained as a Non-Denominational Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have given that little bit of insight into my background, to basically validate and show that I have spent years in the study and teaching of God's Word, during which time I have found that the Theological position that your questions come from, have been previously raised as legitimate questions, and have also become the founding doctrine of many occultic organizations. Not saying that you are occultic by any means, just showing where from, and how I have come to the conclusions that I have thus far regarding your line and character of questions that you have posted in this and other threads and forums. If you wish to discuss my positioning any further, you will find my email address on my profile. This way neither of us will stand the chance of being banned or shut down from enjoying the Awesome Ministry of Worthy Christian Forums. With all Love in Christ, David
  17. What you posted is very interesting, David! Unfortunately, there needs to be a minor correction in what you wrote here. Our "day" and "night" are not 12 hours each. For example, today the time between sunrise and sunset is about 9 1/2 hours. This time changes throughout the year. (I'm sure you know this, but sometimes you need to be picky with how you explain your details, you know?) The question "HOW LONG?" was not asked in the hopes of finding a definitive answer. The point is that nobody, Christian or scientist, creationist or evolutionist, can know how long the earth was here before "the fall." "And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him." (Gen 2:18-20) We see some period of time (how long?) where Adam named "every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air," and there is no way to determine the length of time this involved. AFTER this God made Eve and gave them the commandment, "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth." (Gen 1:28) Therefore, we have no basis for being able to determine "how long" the earth or man existed before "the fall." The conclusion being that there does not have to be two camps as to "how long" for to make any such determination would not be based on Scripture, but on conjecture. Ok, well the OP asked the question "How Long?", and the way that I read it, it seems to be looking for a definitive answer. Then here you say that a definitive answer is not what you were looking for. Maybe it's just me but that seems to be contradictory on the surface to say the least. Which brings up another point; if you weren't looking for a definitive answer to begin with, why ask the question? The reason questions exist is for the sole purpose of obtaining information. Then by reading what I am relpying to you have already established that no answer given by any one would be correct. And my last and final point on this matter, if a definitive answer cannot be obtained by the asking of a specific question, again, why would one waste time asking the question? Thereby making this entire thread of absolutely no importance at all. Rather than asking a specific question, looking for a specific answer, seeing as to how you already answered the question before you asked it; the question obviously should have been a statement to begin with. The times that we are given in the Bible are given for specific and significantly important reasons, none of which are essential to one's salvation, but, in my opinion, are only useful for the edification of those already established in their Faith; and for the use in Apologetics. David, Sometimes a question can be asked, not so much to arrive at a given point, but to cause us to think about the "given point(s)" already arrived and who or how did those "points" which are established come to be accepted anyway? That all, just trying to cause us to consider all things rather than only see it from a point that has been established by, only God know who. I hope you can hear where I'm coming from. Yours in Christ I do understand where you are coming from, and when people such as yourself ask these types of questions it makes me curious in a few different ways. First, what is the motive of the person asking such a question? Secondly, What is the significance in the teaching or learning from the answering of the posed question? And, thirdly, what type of edification is the answering of the posed question going to bring to the Body of Christ and the furtherance of the Gospel message? At the same time that I do understand where you are coming from, honestly I do; I do also understand that seeing as to how we (Believers) have all been called to and given by God our Father, through the "Great Commssion" the Ministry of Reconciliation, how does the asking of and answering of such questions help us to attain the goal of the Ministry of Reconciliation? 2Co 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To make clear, this "Ministry of Reconciliation" is simply, us (Believers) being used by God to reach out and draw the lost back to Him. This line, or type of questions only serves to hinder our overall purpose of reconciling the lost back to God, when these types of questions are asked and answered, especially when being argued under the guise of having a "debate". With much agape in Christ. David

    Why prophecy

To begin with, it seems to me that you are saying that you have a "special anointing" given you by God, that reveals the many deep and wonderful truths and teachings of the Holy Scriptures to you and to you alone. This is my first red-flag that taints anything else you say, write, or put forth here or anywhere. But as my skeptical self always does, I give everyone the "benefit of the doubt" at the beginning. Secondly, all of the end time teaching points that you mentioned cannot be found in and only within the Book of Daniel, i.e.- The Rapture, and the Mark of the Beast, just to name two. Thirdly, you mention that you spent 10 whole years with The Lord and His Word alone during which time The Holy Spirit revealed to you that the things being taught to the Body of Christ by some of the worlds leading Eschatological and Biblical scholars, are all false (basically Lies). Then The Lord led you to write a book concerning what the Lord has revealed to you for the edification of the Body of Christ, that you have published but don't sell, say is not for sale, but as someone has mentioned previously can be found for purchase. I must say that this is very confusing to me, especially in the light of and under the guise of all of the Scripture that you quoted pertaining to the edification of the Body of Christ, and us all coming to the Unity, and the Fullness, and our understanding being enlightned, the Truth being taught in Love, etc, etc, etc... It too, would seem to me that for someone to be so led of the Lord, would give credit where credit is due; which you don't at the beginning of this thread, but instead say, "A brief statement of myself, I feel, is necessary." So to kind of wrap this up and dissuade any further comment from myself, or argument from you trying to self-validate your God-given Anointing to instruct, lead, teach, or edify the Body of Christ, I will leave you with a few references from the Wonderful, Life- Changing, Powerful, Anointed Word of the Lord that you claim you know so well. Jas 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. 1Jn 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. With Love in Christ, David P.S. - Seeing as how you said that your book is not for sell, but has been found on the internet for the astounding price of $19.95, (of which I'm sure is worth every penny), would you be willing to donate a copy of your book to my Ministries Library?

(I'm sure you know this, but sometimes you need to be picky with how you explain your details, you know?) Yes, thank you for adding that point. That is an interesting point that I have given a cursory glance over in the past during my study of this "time" thing, and a point I obviously need to delve into a bit deeper within this study. But at this time, I do wonder if the point that you bring up is the reason for our modern "Leap Year"? Thanks for being and helping me be so picky with my details in explanations.
  21. Just a few things that came to mind whilst I was reading through this post. 1. If time were of no concern; is not important or relevant to the actual things that happened or events that took place in the Bible, why then would God have repeatedly throughout the entire Bible used or made references to time? Such as in Genesis chapter 1; concerning the apointed times that the feasts were to be celebrated; the First Advent (First Coming) of the Messiah; the prophecies of the end times; the years that Israel would spend in bondage to Egypt, and captivity in Babylon - due to their disobedience, etc, etc, etc. Just to mention a few. ??? AND 2. When we today read the Bible, we need to understand that during the Biblical times, "time" was not reckoned as we do today. Meaning that, today, in our modern world and cultures, we consider a "day" to be from sunrise to sunset, and a night to be from sunset to sunrise; two seperate 12-hour periods that cumulatively total one 24-hour period. (When a day actually begins at Midnight and ends at Midnight 24 hours later). In Biblical times, a day was reckoned from sunset (about 6:00pm) to the next sunset (about 6:00pm). One full 24-hour period. This is the reason that the phraseaology in Genesis Chapter 1 is, "And the evening and the morning were the first day." etc..... Also, at the time that the Bible was written, the Hebrew people used 2 seperate and distinct calendars simultaneously. One was a Civil Calendar, and the other was an Agricultural or Lunar Calendar. Whereas today in our modern world and culture, people all over the planet reckon time in days, weeks, months, etc. using the Gregorian or Julian Calendar. Studying the Biblical "time" has been one of the most lengthy studies that I have been on, and am still working on from time to time (no pun intended). This is because of the intricately complex Hebrew Lunar Calendar that consited of 12 months of 30 days per month, and then every seventh, thirteenth, sixteenth, or nineteenth year a 13th month was added to their calendar in order to keep it accurate with the seedtime and harvest of the agricultural cycles.
