  1. There is some excellent advice here by others. Demons don't like to hear praise to the Lord, or about the Blood of Jesus. Remember the verse, Resist the devil and he will flee from you, and this applies to the demons too. They are going to the lake of fire. Satan will be bound with chains and put in a bottomless pit soon now, and after the millenium Satan will be put into the lake of fire too. I hope you will keep us updated. P.S. MarilynC is so right. Repent and also will to forgive the person that introduced you to this which has caused you so much suffering.
  2. It is encouraging to remember how the Lord speaks to His people. New Testament John 5:25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live John 8:47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God. John 10:4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. John 10:5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.... John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.... John 10:27-28 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Acts 22:14 14 And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth. Heb. 3:7-8 7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, 8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: Heb. 3:15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. Rev. 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Hebrew Bible I Samuel 3:9-10 9Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place. 10 And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth. I Kings 19:11-13 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake: 12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. 13 And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah? Psalms 95:7-8 7For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice, 8 Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: Isaiah 30: 21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
  3. During troubled times decades ago I saw and have hoped in this psalm. Psalm 74:22 Arise, O God, plead Thine own cause.... 22Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily. 23Forget not the voice of thine enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually.
  4. I got tired of losing earrings, so I pierced my ears myself as a teen. It was not easy, and took a while. After many decades, I would recommend not piercing too low on the ear lobe.
  5. Luke 16:23And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. 27Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: 28For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
  6. Hi Farouk, I used to read Psalms on and on and came to love so many of them. I can't think of specific favorites. I do want to mention Psalm 67. As I read it, at one point (it was 1967) I felt the Lord would give me music, melody to go with it. It came in a minor key, and how it helped me to remember that Psalm. God be merciful to us and bless us And make His face to shine upon us Selah That Thy way may be known, throughout all of the earth, Thy saving health to all the nations Selah.
  7. Yes, it is Psalm 91. I heard that soldiers in the 1991 Gulf War were memorizing this psalm, so I was able to do so. It is such a blessing.
  8. Yes, it is idolatry. God gave us one mediator we can talk to, who hears us, our Lord Jesus. I Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;..
  9. On July 26, 2023, the Fast of 9th of Av begins in the evening at sundown and goes through July 27. Two Jewish temples were destroyed on the day of the 9th of Av. It is a day that the Lord has emphasized by those two events. This fast marks the end of the harvest of grain, the wheat that was planted in the spring. (One wheat crop is planted in the autumn and winters over and is harvested in spring about Pentecost.) Jesus said "four months" and then cometh the harvest. John 4:35. Should the Rapture occur around that time of Tish b'Av, some Jewish people might realize that it would be the fulfillment of Scripture, Jeremiah 8:20 The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved. Three verses prior: Jeremiah 8:17 For, behold, I will send serpents, cockatrices, among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall bite you, saith the LORD. That would fulfil what Jesus said in Matthew 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? I looked to see to whom Jesus was saying this. 7 times in Mathew 23 Jesus spells it out: "scribes and Pharisees." My heart is heavy that Jeremiah's words in 8:20 point to the time when all who have not received Christ will realize "summer is ended and we are not saved." Soon they will face the Tribulation. I had not noticed until about July 16 that Jeremiah has a prophecy that the Lord said that serpents will be sent and bite, nor that Jesus was pointing to the fulfillment by His words in Matthew. Praying that the eyes of Jesus' people will see that Jesus is the remedy for the snake's bite, like Nehushtan, the bronze serpent on the pole that when looked at cured the snake bite in the days of Moses. Jesus was made to be sin for us. Also, how this would point to the fact that the believers in Jesus are the temples of God. 2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
  10. Yes, I did mean the Old Testament. I just love these verses as well as all of the New Testament promises which I believe point to a Pre-Trib Rapture, and that we are to wait, to watch for and expect His coming for us. Sorry I overlooked the responses and questions. I don't know my way around the site well.
  11. From the Hebrew Bible: Psalm 27:5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in his pavilion, In the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. Psalm 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. Psalm 50:3-5 Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him. 4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people. Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice. Psalm 50:15 Call upon Me in the day of trouble, and I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me. Psalm 91:14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. Zechariah 2:2-3 Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD'S anger come upon you. Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD'S anger. Isaiah 26:19-21 19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. 20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. 21 For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain. Isaiah 66:15-16 15For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. 16 For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many. Zephaniah 2:1-3 Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired; 2 Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD'S anger come upon you. 3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD'S anger. Verses from the New Testament about the Rapture: Matthew 24:42 - Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Matthew 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. Mark 13:32-35 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning.... Mark 13:37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch. Luke 12:40 - Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not. Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. John 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Hebrews 9:27-28 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. Heb. 10:19 We have confidence to come into the holy place through the blood of Jesus. Hebrews 11:5 In such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. I Thess. 1:10 And to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. I Thess. 4:16-18 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. I Thess. 5:1-6 1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. I Thess. 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. II Thess, 2:1-5 Geneva Bible (1599) 1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our assembling unto him, 2 That ye be not suddenly moved from your mind, nor troubled neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter, as it were from us, as though the day of Christ were at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a departing first, and that that man of sin be disclosed, even the son of perdition. 4 Which is an adversary, and exalteth himself against all that is called God, or that is worshipped: so that he doth sit as God in the Temple of God, showing himself that he is God. 5 Remember ye not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things? [The word translated "departing" was translated that way in several Bibles prior to the King James Version.] II Thess. 2:13 But we ought to thank God always for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you, a firstfruit, for deliverance by the santification of the Spirit and belief of the truth. I Cor. 3:11-15 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss; but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. I Corinthians 15:51-52 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. II Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Col. 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. II Tim. 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. I Pet. 5:4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. II Peter 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished. II Peter 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. Titus 2:11-13 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. Jude 1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints. Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of My patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Rev. 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. Rev. 4:1 1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. Rev. 4:4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
