  1. That being the case, as y'all don't care to hear the truth, just remove me. I have no interest in zionism and as for the Jews, whatever has befallen them over the centuries is their own doing. They're the ones who said of the Lord, "His blood be upon us and our children." Oh, and yes, the Church (comprised of Jew and Gentile) has replaced national Israel as the People of God. Adios.
  2. While not denying that millions of people, including Jews died in the Concentration Camps and elsewhere throughout the Reich during the period from 1936 to 1945, the sum of 6,000,000 Jews is over the top. 6 million Jews were not "killed," "exterminated," or whatever. Not even 6 million Jews died in in total, let alone were deliberately exterminated. Many of the deaths in the various camps came not from deliberate genocide but from disease and malnutrition due to the extremely poor conditions in the camps. Conditions, in part, caused by the Allied forces destruction of German railways/roadways, and other infrastructure, destruction of farmland and other food production/distribution, and the lack of medicines available to treat illnesses, especially typhoid which swept through the camps in the last year of the war. As it stand, the 6 million figure was already being bandied about long before the Nazis ever came to power, before even the First World War. That said, while no believer in the modern nation/state of Israel as being the Israel of God, and not being a Zionist, I do believe that Israel, though not a perfect nation (there are none) is still our best ally in the Middle East and, as a sovereign nation, has the right to have its capital where it wants. I support Israel for pragmatic, not religious reasons. I support Israel as a sovereign, "civilized" nation in the middle of an uncivilized region. I believe that Germany's vote is but a reflection of the Merkel regime's blindness to the threat of Islam and its creeping islamization of not only Germany but Western Europe as a whole, in other word, it's just another form of appeasement of the islamists in their midst. 4. No, that is not true. Our liquor is far stronger than it was in ancient times. Actually, fermentation processes are exactly the same today as back then. Fermentation is a natural process. What is different is distillation processes (distillation of alcohol not discovered until at least the 9th Century A.D.) where you take a fermented product, wine, and through distillation make a stronger (higher alcohol %) product such as cognac, or vodka, or... So, naturally our "liquor" is stronger because they didn't know how to distill it in ancient times.
  5. Because sometimes it's true. There are times when you don't know what you're talking about. There are times when someone else doesn't know what they're talking about. There are times when I don't know what I'm talking about. Sometimes we don't "know" what we're talking about but think we do and go running off spouting about said topic on which we are not knowledgeable believing what we've been taught, or imagine to be so is so because we've been taught it believe it. That, in part, explains why we all tell each other, "you don't know what your (sic) talking about."
  6. Hi Fred, like you, I only just came across this blog entry this year, in my case because I am new to Worthy. That said, I would like to comment on Omegaman's blog entry And your comment on it. On the whole I appreciate what Omegaman wrote and am in agreement with him; on the whole. I believe "Denominations" are an unfortunate reality but need not always be a divisive factor. This leads me to your comment. You are correct that "we are the body of Christ," but you deny that very truth right before speaking it by saying, "we are not the church." The "Church" and the "Body of Christ" are synonymous, they are the same thing by different titles. Anyway, that self-contradiction is part of the reason we have denominations. If we cannot even be consistent in our own thoughts and understandings, then how are we all, as the Body, to be consistent and united? And so, while it is correct to say that the Bible, God's Word is "the proper forum for the truth, when properly defined translated," who determines what "properly defined" is? Who determines what properly "translated" is? And on what basis? When you write that "There is false teaching in every denomination," you are correct. The reason for that is simple, no one, no individual, no denomination has a 100% Accurate Understanding of God and His Word. God is infinite as is His wisdom and knowledge whereas we are finite. Our finite minds are simply incapable of comprehending all there is of God, His nature, His plan, His ways, etc. Our ability, our attempts to understand God, while in this flesh, is going to be limited. Think about it. God is infinite while we are finite. The difference between God and us is the difference between finite and infinite, which is to say infinite. That is not to say we can not understand anything about God. We can. Even unbelievers can understand some things about God because He reveals Himself through His creation, cf. Psa 19:1; 97:6; Romans 1:18ff. Then there is the fact that He also reveals Himself through His Word. But again, even there we have an infinite God being revealed through a finite means: Human Communication. Omegaman is spot on when he says, " People like to gather with others who are like them, the feel comfortable and part of something. " That is a part of our very human nature. We naturally tend to gather with those who are "like us," who think "like us." And since there is no one who has a 100% correct understanding of God and His Word, we will naturally tend to gather with those who's limited understanding most corresponds with our own. That is not to say we are divided against our brethren who disagree in non-essentials. Myself, I consider myself a ReformedBaptiCostal. That said, I am most comfortable in a Reformed Church but will, if there is not one around, attend a Baptist Church or even a conservative Lutheran church or so-called, "non-denominational" church. Denominations exist because of our own incomplete understanding of God, that's all. There is nothing for the Denominations to "pay for" at the "proper time." Denominations are not what cause division within the Body but are a reflection of it. As long as we members of the Body can remember what I believe it was Augustine said, "In the essentials unity, in non-essentials, liberty, and in all things charity," then we'll be ok. In that light, let us come together, study God's Word and where there are differences in understanding, let "iron sharpen iron" that we might all learn and grow closer together in our Lord.
  7. How about that? 4 hours worth of work and all that remains is this.
  8. Shame on you 1to3! How dare you bring up "context." Oh, the horror! LOL!
  9. From the Institute for Creation Research's website, icr.org Job 38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. 5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? 6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; 7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? Powered by phpBible.org New Defender's Study Bible Notes Job 38:4 38:4 Where wast thou. This first question is a rebuke to those who try to explain origins by present processes—that is, by uniformitarianism (note also II Peter 3:3-6). The creation of the entire universe had been completed in all perfection by God Himself, by processes no longer in operation (Genesis 2:1-4). Ever since Nimrod, however, men have tried to explain origins by innate evolutionary processes, and this is impossible as well as blasphemous. Job 38:7 38:7 morning stars. The stars of heaven were not made until the fourth day of creation week, whereas the “foundations of the earth” had been laid on the third day. Thus the “morning stars” were the same as the “sons of God,” or the angels (Job 1:6; 2:1); this verse is an example of Hebrew poetic parallelism.

  11. Uhhh, no. Scriptures say nothing about the length of time "Long before" other than the Heavens and Earth were created on Day 1 and man (Adam) on Day 6. Scripture says nothing whatsoever about Lucifer being "ruler of the society there" prior to Adam and Eve's creation. On the contrary, Lucifer was not given rule over the earth until Adam fell in the Garden, per Scripture. Cf. Genesis 1-3.
  12. Hi 1to3, Question, how much do you need to refute the Lucifer OP? I read the first dozen paragraphs and found so many false, unwarranted "assumptions" that, well, actually in just the first few paragraphs, convinced me that the author either has no command of the English language (let alone Hebrew or Greek) leading to his many false assumptions, or, he's just trying to stir up trouble by confusing people. Since I don't like to make accusations of ill intent that I cannot prove, I'll have to give him the benefit of the doubt and just go with his writing from ignorance. As the OP is quite long, do you need the entire thing refuted? That could take a matter of a week or more (as I have to fit it into my work schedule and my work at home rebuilding after a fire) or would showing that he is off in just the first few paragraphs, involving clearly unwarranted assumptions? Here's just the first few paragraphs: "Scriptures show that originally, Long before Adam and Eve were created, God created the Earth and placed Lucifer as ruler of the society there." Writer's premise stated, not proven. "God gave Lucifer control of the Earth kingdom (Rev. 12:12; Ezek. 28:11-18; Isa. 14:12-14)" Writer's assumption (per his premise above) is that this took place before Adam's Creation. Let's look at his Scriptural support (or lack thereof). Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth. Rev 12:2 NKJV This is a passage that describes, in context, the birth of Christ Rev 12:1-6 NKJV 1 Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. 2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth. 3 And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. 4 His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. 5 She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne. 6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days. Eze 28:11-18 NKJV 11 Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 12 "Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say to him, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "You were the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. 13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created. 14 "You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. 15 You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you. 16 "By the abundance of your trading You became filled with violence within, And you sinned; Therefore I cast you as a profane thing Out of the mountain of God; And I destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the fiery stones. 17 "Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, That they might gaze at you. 18 "You defiled your sanctuaries By the multitude of your iniquities, By the iniquity of your trading; Therefore I brought fire from your midst; It devoured you, And I turned you to ashes upon the earth In the sight of all who saw you. This only states that Lucifer was "in Eden, the garden of God," but does not say anything about when Lucifer was created. Clearly Lucifer existed before Adam, but that would be because He (along with the host of heaven) was created on Day 1 of Creation. It does not support his premise "Long before Adam and Eve were created, God created the Earth and placed Lucifer as ruler of the society there," as the Garden was created after Adam, cf. Gen 2:7-8 NKJV 7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. 8 The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. Isa 14:12-13 NKJV 12 "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! 13 For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; Again, this says nothing of "when" this occurred and thus is a spurious assumption Lucifer obeyed God and ruled for an unknown time before "Iniquity was found in him. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee" (Ezek. 28:13-15). There is nothing here that supports Lucifer "ruling" anything. It only states, correctly, that for an "unknown time" Lucifer was "perfect." Whether that time was 1 hour, 1 day, or several days is unknown. Before Adam Lucifer was the ruler of the Earth. Again, the writer is making an assumption, stating a premise that he has not proven. God is taking about Lucifer in these Scriptures. He was a perfectly created arc angel; "Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee" (Ezek. 28:13-15). See my comments on this passage above. Lucifer wanted to control the universe and knock God off His throne. He over a long period of time convinced one third of God's angels to rebell (sic) with him and they rebelled against God and His universal rule, and invaded heaven to try and de-throne God Himself. (Ezek 28:11-18; Isa. 14:12-14). "over a long period of time" While it is true that Lucifer wanted to usurp the place of God, the writer makes an unwarranted assumption that he took long period of time. There is nothing said in Scripture about the length of time involved in these events. So, 1to3, as you can see, from the very beginning, the writer makes a premise based on his own (and/or others) presuppositions regarding the events, and then interprets Scripture to fit those presuppositions rather than letting Scripture say what it says and not say what it does not. From what I've seen in just a quick perusal of the OP, he continues to do the same sloppy and erroneous work throughout.
  13. Actually, yes we can. At least the "remotely suggesting" part anyway. Then I guess you want to remove Genesis and many other books from the 66 books of the Bible because they don't square with your prejudiced interpretation. You may find this hard to believe, but Jesus, the prophets, patriarchs and apostles did not speak English. The inspired text is not English. By your comment about removing Genesis (in the context it appears both immediate re: Creation and general re: the OP, it is very easy for one to conclude that you are doing just that, suggesting that "this document" (Book of Enoch, which supports old earth creationism) belongs in the Bible. Just sayin.
  14. No, it would be better if you revised your understanding of Genesis. Genesis clearly teaches that Death did not enter the Creation until the fall of Adam and Eve and the subsequent curse upon all of Creation. There cannot have been any pre-Adamic civilizations, or creation by means of evolution as evolution (per the theory) involves the death of inferior life forms and the advancement of superior life forms, i.e., "survival of the fittest."
