  1. very wise, resourceful and balanced answer Jayne. re Read, memorize, study, and meditate. God reminded me other week to add "do it" to your list
  2. listened to powerful message from NZ pastor about Jn 15:22... older brother of prodigal son like us but Jesus wants us like the father, brother was self-righteous and punishing, but father forgiving and redeeming.
  3. that is like art is also subjective......peotry/psalmist is drawing a picture of God's grace/majesty
  4. modesty, warmth, enabling....i am from cambridge bro!
  5. The Lord wraps himself in light as with a garment; he stretches out the heavens like a tent and lays the beams of his upper chambers on their waters. has this got a deeper meaning than the joy of poetry?
  6. no, not bad to move on Remember Philippians 3:13-14 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
  7. sower, i have found that after 37 yrs of rebellion, it is best sometimes to move on. So thanks sower for your help, and I'll close topic (by the way-lone man not God but a sinner)
  8. sower, I was a bit cheeky true your words are right for this passage but can I illustrate my concern... scenario 1 - after many years a lone man entered a crowd of 500 and suddenly the 500 was not gonna perish in the tsanami scenario 2 - after many years the lone man chose not to enter the crowd of 500 and suddenly the 500 was gonna perish in the tsanami is this why the lone man gets the patience of God?
  9. bud, the 1st and 2nd para is great and makes the point to me that ...we are immature kids in the Lord's scale of things. (your last para confusing a bit.)
  10. how does "He is patient with you" depend on the Lord's desire to save everyone? In the passage ....The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. I am puzzled
  11. what do you think of breakingisraelnews.com? reliable?
  12. dancing and music will not please everyone...either too loud, too worldly, too dull, and so on. someone will be offended whatever you do. The priority must be to honor the Lord. The pastor is responsible for the flock under his care Ezekiel 34:2 “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Woe to you shepherds of Israel who only take care of yourselves! Should not shepherds take care of the flock? Pray "God is within her" for your pastor, and to God for Proverbs 3:5-6 to come alive for you
  13. Whoever would foster love covers over an offense, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends. Proverbs 17:9 NIV what does this mean?
