The Gospel is hidden from those that perish If one tries to add ANYTHING to the finished work of Christ at the Cross , His atoning death has become of NO effect, those of you that pervert the Gospel of grace Peter and Paul stated that they nor their fathers could follow the Law—— It was an impossible system, designed to lead us to Christ.After Jesus ascended to Heaven,He used Paul as His Spokesman.If Paul says it that means Jesus said it. You need to read his epistles . You appear to be stuck in an Old Testament world.....there is a much better covenant just waiting for you. Jesus saves .Period. No “ buts “ attached.

We have been ordered to follow Paul as he follows Christ......that would be believing Paul’s Gospel of Grace found in 1cor15:1-4. Simply believe that Christ died for your sins and he rose from the dead on the third day and you will be saved ......UNLESS you pervert it by trying to add your works to it.That will make you “accursed” and bound for Hell.The Bible is a dangerous thing for those who fail to properly study and divide it. You appear to be stuck in the days of the Old Covenant where the Law and the obedience to it counted for everything. Striving to keep the Laws of God is great! It just does not save.The Law was meant to shut the mouths of all mankind.It was given to show you can’t keep it—- you need a Savior.The starting point of Christianity is having a contrite heart, to be driven to ones knees and crying out to God saying, “ God have mercy on me, a sinner” That is true repentance.Contritness.I will pray that God grant you a softened heart that will make you understand repentance and be receptive to the true Gospel thAt saves us, this side of the Cross—— you fail to understand that the Shedding Of Christ Holy Blood changed everything.. Faith plus nothing for Salvation. God is no more interested in our pitiful attempts to achieve perfection than He was interested in Cain’s works . Two things save us in the end—— Christ’s Blood and Our Faith.Add to these two things at your own risk

Judas was guilty of unbelief, bereft of faith......everyone who went to Hell or will go to Hell in the future shares these traits.Trust in your works for Salvation ( obtaining it or keeping it) without trusting the One that Judas betrayed will let you join him.

Thousands die of our nations highways yearly from drunk driving and drug usage. We have laws / restrictions to prevent that. How's that working out for ya? History proves that we can’t legislate morality....but we can make dents. Strict DWI laws compelled me and many of my drunken pals to start taking cabs.Surprise State Patrol breath tests have made believers of many.Do we still have unnecessary carnage on our highways? Of course! Yet, only a professional idiot would try to make the case that things aren’t MUCH better than they used to be.I own a Llama 357 Magnum and I will happily use it for my family’s safety.Only a fool would try to take it away from me.I don’t need an AK-47 any more than I need a Gatling gun? Neither do other reasonable, responsible citizens.As I have said——making such items difficult to get your hands on is not a cure, but it will save lives. It’s a start. Lol i visited your discussion place the other night.....not bad.....Do you still do your podcast thingy? btw.....Faith plus nothing for SALVATION.....even Paul said we are saved in order to do good works.salvation is a GIFT.We repent( change our minds about bring “good enough”to seeing we are rotten to the core and must have a Savior)The Holy Spirit which gave us “ eyes to see” will put that same Spirit in us, enabling those who have been blessed, to hear the Gospel thAt Paul preached ( given to him by Christ) and believe that Gospel.Given time, good works will follow.Those good works did not save you, God considered pre-salvation good deeds in order to get Brownie points to be worthy of Heaven as “ filthy rags”.Those good works done after one is saved as God performs the miracle of changing us from the inside out into the likeness of His Son enable us to build up Heavenly rewards.Beyond the teachings of the Scripture, this is exactly how I have seen all of this play out in my life. Good works should flow from a man that has been Born Again as easily as a finger flows up and down in the clicking of an oy vey button,

Murderers will always find a way to do their thing.In the Bible we see many things utilized , from a big rock to the jawbone of an ass.Just because we can’t totally eliminate deaths caused by speeding motorists, only a fool would say let’s take down all the speed limit signs.What does it matter? People are gonna get killed anyway! Reasonable men know that lines must be draw .Wouldnt even the most ardent believer in the 2nd Amendment draw a line if somebody invented a rifle that shot out Atomic Bombs? It would be way to dangerous for any one to possess, so let’s draw a line there—- nobody is allowed to have it.Somebody will eventually find a way to get one, but let’s not make it easy for them.Everybody with a brain can see the wisdom of a line drawn in that ludicrous example, so drawing a line is not necessarily bad and could not help but be part of any part of a sane approach to try to keep people, especially defenseless school children alive.Reasonable people can disagree but my line would be with assault weapons.The Founding Fathers knew nothing about atom bombs, and they would be dropping their jaws if they could see the insane murdering capability of an assault rifle.These architects of the 2nd Amendment were geniuses, but it does not take a genius to know that they NEVER wanted anything floating around out there that we now have.They would be ashamed and regretful beyond belief had they known that the wise support of a man to keep a muzzle-loading rifle in his home to ward off any King George wanna- bees would devolve to the insanity we have now.Lets draw a line, accepting that the line will be crossed many times .Those with black hearts will always find a way to inflict massive pain on others.All I want to do is not make it easy for them.

A true believer in catholic doctrine believes He will be saved by his works and is lost.In the end, no more than than a legalistic Baptist or Methodist.Faith plus nothing for salvation .

I dont laugh all of the time, but I laugh a lot more than I used to.That laugh is a lot hardier than the one I used to have,also.Most Christians I know are smiling nearly all of the time.Its like I have a great secret I want to share but few believe it.I don’t lose any sleep over that .It took me many years to get here , but I am happy, I love to make others laugh and feel good about themselves.One thing I enjoy doing is filling my pockets with Juicy Fruit and riding the Harley around town and passing out the gum to little kids—if they are brave enough, I let them honk the horn.Any girl within hearing distance will be made aware that I offer free rides to pretty girls( they know I am kidding) I go out of my way to make this “ offer” to those women who are-not often told that they are “pretty”.Before God showed me how to rest in his finished work and gave me the assurance of my Salvation, I was not this way.Life was something endured—- not savored and enjoyed.To be able to be happy in this Satan owned, fallen world is made all that much better when one realizes the best is yet to come.Forever.I hope this does not come off as too “ PollyAnnish”—— I can still be a jerk at times—- people in here can vouch for that.I just want Newbies to the faith to see what true Christianity can do for them.Religionists walk around with scowls on their faces and spend most of their time judging others and pointing fingers.They are ignorant about how God works .God puts something great in your heart and it only lives by giving itself away.God bless

Jesus said through Paul that we are to share ALL GOOD THINGS with whoever gave us the Gospel.....Wesley founded the Methodist Church so I don’t think he gave to the Vatican.....Wh3n the money leaves your hands you have done your job and you are entitled to the promise God gave us—“give and it shall be given to you”. Some have the promise fulfilled in this lifetime , others wait until we get to the other side.If I gave my money to a place that showed themselves to be poor stewards, I’d find a place that was more responsible.

Ya know those people who have undergone plastic surgery and are stuck with that “ surprised” look on their faces all the time? I think a lot of people who find themselves in Hell will have that same look on their faces.Hearing “ I never knew you” will be shocking to many who trusted in what “ they” did to merit salvation.They had to add the word “ but” to Jesus Saves. I don’t know my own phone number.....I could not send a text if you put a gun to my head ......For 45 years I have been a serious amateur photographer and journalistic type wedding photographer....The super- convenient camera that comes with the phone is the only reason I carry it with me at all times.....that is a MUST !....... I would never be able to forgive myself if I encountered a flying saucer and did not have my camera with me......lol

Its the same old story —-of course Jesus saves! B U T, once you know that you must live the Christian Life— no sin allowed! Of course that is not possible , so if you just make sure that you keep a ledger of all your sins and make sure the ledger is constantly updated by your repentance, you will make it to Heaven.If you are unlucky and say a bad word right before a car crash and it kills you and you did not have the presence of mind or the time to repent in regard to that unclean tongue,you will soon be spending time with Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot and the rest of the damned.At least these guys didn’t “ pretend” to believe the Gospel thAt saves.Others should try that.

Happiness for a Believer is a fringe benefit of resting in what Christ accomplished for you at the Cross.Resting is a fringe benefit of true faith.Any doubting or possessing a head knowledge as opposed to a heart knowledge is an impediment to the joy that God wants us to have in our lives.Happiness depends on external things such as new cars,big raises,etc.Joy is a fruit of the Spirit thAt you take with you even in the worst of circumstances.Only God can implant this type of joy.

There are several preachers that I respect very much that adhere to the belief that Romans 9,10 and 11 were written to the Jews only.I don’t understand their logic and I have seen others in here that prove them wrong using Scripture.Just thought I’d throw that in.
