With all due respect , I think your lack of concern for the more vital things that could actually have a bearing on one’s salvation is not good.It appears we both have our own different battles to fight.Good luck with yours.

I think the most important thing for the unbeliever to learn is that he is a sinner that needs a Savior.The first couple of chapters in Romans should convince anybody that they are lost. Subsequent chapters will reveal the remedy for being lost.Until one sees that he isn’t as “ good” as he thinks he is , understanding Christianity is impossible— it’s just another religion.

More like a spirit of insignificance....i like the lead guitar solo in the song, “Crazy Train-- nothing more , nothing less.Millions of church goers today listened to false gospels ,and many unsaved remained unsaved because of ignorance in the pulpit about how one finds salvation.The preaching of perverted gospels sends more people to hell than the foolishness of a rock and roll band.Ozzie Osbourne and his ilk are small potatoes compared to the real problems of many churches.Satan loves to see people dwell on these types of distractions instead of getting to the heart of the matter— bad teaching from self-called pastors as opposed to God- called preachers who preach the true Gospel of God’s Grace.

The saying, “ It’s none of your business” was never more appropriate .To speculate on the reasons why couples have two kids or twenty kids is the height of ignorance.

Galations......For Its emphasis on the Freedom of the Believer and the futility of trying to keep the Law for Salvation....

I pity any fool country that thinks they are going to attack Israel successfully.They have the Lord of the Universe on their side.That’s all they need.

Sounds awfully complicated to me...” My burden is light”Jesus said. How about we actually trust God’s Spirit to guide us? “Love God and live as you please” If one truly understands the thinking behind that,you have an insight into the essence of Christianity.Its not by coincidence that to “love God with all your heart,all your soul and all your mind” is the #1 Commandment.If one can do that, everything else that God cares about will follow .God bless

I disagree.....on all points.God is more interested in the Spirit of the Law than the Letter of the Law. I believe my viewpoint better reflects that truth.Thanks for your input.

Being a bit of a natural born wise-a**, I always get tickled when I read about God’s retort to Moses when he whined about being “ slow of tongue” when God told him to speak to Pharoah—- “Who made mouths?” God asked. Don Rickles would have trouble topping that one!

The better I know God, the less I concern myself with rules.Zola Levitt once said, “ There are no rules in Christianity.” I think he was on to something.I spend as much time worrying about keeping rules as I do worrying about Hell——pretty close to zero.

I am a Jesus Man......completely devoid of religion.....I still see no KJV scripture that says we repent of sins to be saved.Both examples you gave refer to a change of mind about who Jesus is.Acknowledging Him as the Savior that you need is what saves. “ Repentance towards God ( turning to Him) with faith in Jesus”is the repentance that saves.If you have the pride that says you are going to make it to Heaven “ your way” and then have a change of mind (repentance) that admits you are a lost sinner who needs a Savior and will do it God’s way- believing Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead- you will be saved.A changing of the mind to abandon unbelief in the Gospel to believing the Gospel ALONE can save you is the only repentance that God is interested in for salvation.Anybody who thinks they can quit sinning is delusional.God is looking for faith—- not works.Especially works that are impossible to fulfill.

We cant just go pick out a good verse of Scripture and call it the Gospel.Paul was specific about it.For good reason.It is the only Gospel that save is this Age of Grace.It is what God will judge us by when we stand before Him.It is hidden from those that perish .Add to it and you are in grave jeopardy of being damned by God .It is very specific and very unique.It is found in 1cor15:1-4. Having a change of mind where you abandon your pride and admit you are a sinner who needs a Savior and believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus is what a true repentance looks like.” Repent of your sins to be saved” is nowhere to be found in the KJV.We simply BELIEVE the true Gospel to be saved.......daily repentance comes from the Holy Spirit, given to the Believer in the Good News after he is saved.This same Holy Spirit will use Grace, chastisement and repentance to mold you into the Image of Christ—- an internal change that will transform you from the inside out.You can’t transform yourself. You can change the outside of the cup but not the inside.That is God’s task. Your job is to trust.That is faith. “ The righteous shall LIVE by FAITH”.Faith plus nothing. God bless.

I watched thousands of hours of Gene Scott and I never heard him say anything profane . Every utterance he every made about giving was Biblical.He could get more out of one Bible verse than most preachers could get from an entire Book.The only thing he was ever guilty of was trying to revive the lost message of Paul.... “The just shall live by FAITH”. He taught listeners how to live a life of faith—- not “ do do this and don’t do that” to win God’s approval..He described himself as a “ Jesus Man” and a “ Paulonist”. He despised legalists and was not afraid to call them out .His brilliant , God- Gifted teaching made him many enemies......that is a good sign......If your message is loved by the world,chances are it is not God’s Message that is being preached...Jesus said if they first hated Him, they will hate you too. He was a man of insight and courage .He was a modern-day reformer like Luther.He once said “ smart people like me”. He was correct.If you watch his Communion video and don’t like him.......well, he said only smart people did.
