  1. Many years ago I gave my daughter her first Bible lesson.....Romans10:13...... really haven’t been able to improve on that
  2. How many things does a Catholic have to do to be saved and stay saved? Paul says if you add to his Gospel you are damned Gal1:9. As far as all those blasphemous canons are concerned my source would be the entire books of Romans or Galations for a start. The millions that read the Bible and come out catholic have been badly taught and indoctrinated since they were toddlers.Catholics have said that if they get them while they are young, they’ve got them for life.Sadly that is true in most cases.Happily some escape this false religion of works and fairy tales like purgatory. Merry Christmas, friend
  3. Here’s a crazy idea......if we sin ,we do the same thing with it that God does——put it on the cross! If you are in the Body of Christ, your sins are already forgiven .Asking for forgiveness will restore the broken fellowship that exists since you committed the sin.As far as Salvation is concerned, there is no effect.God’s Grace covers the sin and God may choose to chastise the guilty party so they do not “get away with it”. For His Own sake, God will “remember the sin no more”. There is no need to rely on “ lucky repentance”, that is making sure that sin is marked off your backlog of unrepented sins before you die, lest you be damned for your lack of quickness in scratching that off your list. ( never mind the sins we missed or forgot , and let’s not even go down the road of “sins of omission” ) God loved us enough when we were His enemies , that He sacrificed His Son on the Cross for us.If you are now His child instead of a foe, He will get us home—-even if He has to kick us in the seat pants all the way there.
  4. The ultimate source is Hell......nobody can read the Bible from the front to the back and come out a Catholic...thank God some people get saved DESPITE the farce of Catholicism.....
  5. I would like to apologize if I have lead anybody astray. If it “seems” that I believe in God seeing me through “the spectacles of Christ” because I simply believe in the Shed Blood Of Christ, my postings here must be amiss.Let me remove any doubt—- I am perfect in God’s sight because of my faith.Just like Abraham and the rest of his true Children.I believe Rom10:13—-“ anybody that asks to be saved WILL saved”.God’s word is at stake. The monkey is squarely on His back, to put it crudely. If he does not save me He is a liar. Not likely. Poor God really got Himself in a jam when He made that promise, though. He just couldn’t look ahead and see that there would in the future be all these churches that would make Him regret sticking His neck out.The Lao dicians had gone astray.......just like all the other churches.....and just like you and I.They were “lukewarm” and It was making God sick.Their wealth and comfort fooled them into thinking they must be doing things correctly. They were like many of our modern day churches......the #1 rule is “ don’t make waves”. Don’t speak out against Evolution ,Keep quiet about lousy versions of the Bible, don’t say anything about damnable traditions of the RCC, agree that all religions are really worshipping the same God and that He will ultimately gather us all together and bring us to Heaven , sending anybody to hell is too mean for a Loving God.That is Lukewarmness—- day anything to mollify the world lest they think we are too rigid and not “ loving”. It makes me sick to my stomach too.God is warning that this church and the others are going to be chastised unless they do something about the different errors God has pointed out. No different than He deals with all those He truly loves, for God chastises those that He loves.Hopefully the Laodicians got the message.Hopefully some of our current churches will also. As far as “ planting my feet” and doing nothing,or being self-satisfied as you seem to infer......I am not even close to becoming “weary in well-doing”. I do things you have no idea about. One of the more important things I do is post in here warning baby Christians not to fall for false doctrines.......like two-part Gospels which is just the latest version of the “perverted Gospel” Paul warns about. I want Newbies to know that they can be assured of their salvation and attain the joyful, abundant life Christ shed His blood for.I heard a preacher state the other day that all the saved people in the New Testament KNEW they were saved. Why don’t you know it and rest in it?If my Salvation was based in any way upon “my” performance, I suppose I would be sweating it too. 1cor15:1-4....... add to it and go to Hell......sorry if I stepped on anybody’s toes.
  6. I am familiar with the problems of the Laodecians.......please elaborate as to what you are getting at.Thank you.
  7. I tell them to do the same thing that Paul told us......Believe the Gospel found in 1cor15:1-4...... or if one prefers , simply say, “Jesus save me”.
  8. Gideon....Not to be nosy but may I ask if you are married......if so , what does your wife think of your “ holiness”....somebody that sees you outside of this site and knows the “ real “ you. Personally, I have gone way beyond holiness....in fact, I am perfect.....The Lord of The Universe gave me the perfection of His Son and gave His Son my sins.......what a deal! Makes me want to do good.Love is a better motivator than fear You are no different than anybody else here.....if you knew me the way God knows me you would vomit all over your keyboard. If I knew you as God does I would do the same.Like me,you have secret 5houghts that would shame Hell.......so please get over yourself and face the truth......we’ll know perfection on the Other Side......when we are loosed from these earthen vessels.
  9. The simple, true Gospel of Paul, given to him by Jesus can be found in 1cor15:1-4. We are to believe Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead. That is the Gospel.Nothing else.People That unknowingly show they have not been good students of the Word, see or hear something good in th Bible and automatically think...duh...that must be the Gospel because it sounds good. The actual Gospel is specific and if added to it is a “perverted” Gospel and if you preach it you are “ accursed”—— damned to Hell.Pretty serious stuff. You need to study the Bible more carefully. Here is a good start.....google this—-Harry Ironside Gospel. e King James Bible Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
  10. “Strawberry Fields Forever” was always one of my favorite Beatles tunes.....sad to say,the song has as much Bible in it as this hogwash. That would be none. The line from the song— “ misunderstanding all you see” springs to mind.
  11. It’s high time that this issue was confronted head- on and finally put to rest! 27 good works that benefit the poor and/or widows and orphans will suffice. Now that we have settled that, let’s move on to other issues...let me know if I can clarify any other problems
  12. I gave up one thing for my salvation——- self-effort.
  13. Of course I agree.......I’ll go much farther......I believe we can bank on every single word that is in the Bible....my previous post was theoretical only
  14. I am smart enough and humble enough to state that I could be wrong about everything I think. How about you? please explain what you meant by “ positions you are not entitled to” Thank you
  15. It has been my experience that repentance is purely a gift from God.The “ repentance of sorrow” that Godly repentance that reveals ones wretchedness before a Holy God, that piercing of the heart by the Holy Spirit thAt leaves one with only one plea— “ God, have mercy on me a sinner” sure did not come from anything that “ I” dreamed up.These days , if I mess up and sin, I repent automatically—- I don’t even have to think about it. I sin , I regret it, I repent. It is not pleasant. It is a chastising tool that puts me back on course as God shapes me into the image of His Son.Once again, it is a gift.....all because of my faith.Thats All I have to offer and of course that faith is a gift of God also.I believe— God does the rest.Trust Him.
  16. Agreed......treat them with kindness and respect—— but never give them positions that Paul says they are not entitled to.
  17. Now that is one classy post! A great example for an on- looking world to witness. Reasonable men can disagree—- especially Christian men.I fully support Butero’s right to be wrong! Just kidding.I think it all boils down to this.I think we all believe in God’s AMAZING grace......those in Buteros camp think my fellow heathens take Grace way too far.....those in my camp sincerely believe that Butero and his group do not take it far enough The examples I use like the guy bumping his head and cussing and going to Hell is ridiculous—- just like Buteros example of the Christian going on a shooting rampage is absurd. We both use these extreme nonsensical example to make our points. I just happened to hear a good sermon last night that could be of use here—- perhaps not. I am hard-core hyper-grace and OSAS, but I dont believe ANYBODY gets away with ANYTHING. All Believers escape the Great White Throne Judgement where all trying to be justified by anything other than the Blood of our Savior will be damned. All Believers will stand at The Bema Seat of Christ where rewards for acts of faith will be passed out.Sounds great doesn’t it? Maybe not for some.Imagine this—— you come home ,your house has utterly been destroyed by fire , everything you worked so hard for is gone, your wife is dead, your children burned alive. You however, managed to escape from this fire.Still alive and breathing. How Happy you gonna be?Saved from the flames but you have suffered much loss.Sound Familiar? Like the guy from Paul’s story in 1cor3:15.... the guy that suffered much loss but was saved.I believe there will be great sorrow at this time. This is to be the fate of carnal, even unrepentant Christians who at least had a speck of faith that let them believe that Jesus was who He said He was and believed in His Ressurection.Saved, but ashamed and suffering tremendously when they see that the mansions and their areas of rule they could have had in Eternity but lost because of foolishness and disobedience.I would be interested to see what others think about this.God bless.
  18. Had Nathan the Prophet not revealed what David had done, who knows if he would ever have repented.David seemed to be going along his merry way until he got called out.I wonder if David was sorry for what he did, or was he sorry because he got caught? Comments welcome...even from Butero! Lol.....a little friendly humor there.
  19. “Oh vey” Yiddish for “ I surrender?” Lol
  20. I agree......of course people can get saved at the last second. As long as one is drawing breath there is hope.I am talking about those who believe that if you have any unrepented sins in your life and die in that state you are lost. Many people at this site and other sites as well believe this nonsense.I would worry about my repentance status but it is an off- shoot of works salvation to which I do not adhere . It is a perversion of Paul’s Gospel. Its the true way to fall from grace.....or worse.
  21. Does Mr . Barnhouse preach “ lucky last- second repentance “ for salvation ? It doesn’t matter what you believe.Keeping ones repentance up to date trumps everything in the end. Some subscribe to that hogwash. The biggest insult to the Blood of Christ since Satan dreamed up the fairy tale of purgatory. Pray that you don’t bump your head, say a bad word and then suddenly die without a chance to repent of that last second sin that was not covered by the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.Adding to the Gospel and then preaching that counterfeit “ gospel” makes God angry.....it makes one “ accursed”.
  22. Fiddle-dee-dee.......sorry if I offended you.
  23. Those that think OSAS guys like me chose that belief system so I can go out and sin up a storm never get this.I am a free man in Christ..If I spit in Gods face and deliberately sin thinking “ ha ha God can’t get me, I’m saved forever, I’ll do what I damn well please and watch me get away with it” . Does anybody out there really think God won’t chastise the Hell out of me?I know you can’t see love and gratitude toward what God has done for me as a true motivation for living right, so can’t you at least see severe discipline being a sure motivator?Sorry if I got a bit off-topic, I get carried away sometimes.
