  1. I understand… this is exactly what I am going through now. I have been a believer all my life but an active believer since the last 20 years. In fact I came across your question looking for an answer to my own query, which is similar to yours. I can see no one has posted anything that helps much. I am not even sure I can. All I can say is, people are quick to point out that God didn’t say this… but when you see more than several signs attesting to what God seemed to be pointing you out to, its hard to make others understand. People are quick to defend God, as if He needs a defender…but all I can say is, the God who created your feelings and lives inside of your temple, is aware of the slightest stirrings of your heart. He is more alive in you, then you are in yourself, because if we are only a temple being and it is He who lives inside of us, then He is more bigger and more resident in us than we are in ourselves. I am still trying to find my own answer, but with regard to yours, perhaps He who loves you, is either wanting to prepare you for something better or keep you away from some danger. However if the something you do not want is about prospering, you should evaluate your reason for not wanting it/him/her to prosper. Could it be that you are hurt and you want God’s revenge … which is why you don’t want that/her/he to prosper? If so, letting go is God’s first concern for you. You must forgive to be healed and set free. God who loves that other person will see to it, that that person one day straightens up and repents, but some people are more tough to mould and take time as compared to others. You are easier for God to work on, then that person who may have offended you…(if it is the case). If this is not, pray to ask God to possibly give you freedom in mind and heart from this issue (as you do not know how else to deal with it). To let this issue stop bothering you, as you are His child. Submit the situation to God and ask Him to free and inner heal you. I have found one thing that helps me (since months of suffering in this trial), learn to love yourself more and more and ask God to show you how to love yourself unconditionally and believe in yourself. Several of your problems will evaporate and your disposition to so many afflictions, including this present one (which makes you disbelieve God) will soon be of a calm one. Sometimes God will surprise you and work in ways you least expected, or what you want may be important, but God first wants something more important for you, before He gives you what you want. I know this hurts… it is not wrong a practice to even say, God I am hurting because of my broken heart that trusted in you (and try to reconcile with Him). I am sure He is going to make wonders happen … all things work for good for those who love Him. Make peace with your soul, love yourself and make peace with God.
