Q: how would you define Triune Baptism? A: I define it as a Symbol or Image of our positive coming to GOD. Notwithstanding whatever religious traditions, the Triune Baptism is a Way of transforming a man of this world into Christian and must include: First, Water Baptism unto which we are supposed to come with Confession and our ways already corrected to the best following of Good Conscience. It is Baptism of Repentance & Spiritual Cleansing and therefore the Sign of our coming back to God our Father. Second, Baptism in the Name of Jesus, which is not “accepting” but rather coming to Christ Jesus our only Lord & Saviour, our becoming a Christian, a Candidate for or a Member of Local Church (given the relevant Regulations,) all Duties and Responsibilities including, and receiving the Great Commission. It is the Baptism into One & Undivided Church of GOD. Third, Baptism In The Holy Spirit, which is obtaining Power to be Christian. Obviously, only the first one has to do something with a water symbolizing cleansing. The above sequence, however desirable, cannot be a compulsory one, given a lot of differences from one denomination to another, as well as the circumstances and conditions we may happen to be in. Therefore, it's not important where and how (outwardly) we were baptized. For that may be done (seemingly) a right way, but then... compromise with the world and fall away... Shalom, Well, my point was to try define things properly and to divide Godly from worldly. As for the Holy Scriptures, believe me, I have about 100 different translations, old and new, sometimes searching them all to be as less dependent on men translators as possible. The same with the theological and common dictionaries. I do listen to the Still Small Voice and try to avoid distortions when I write. Brother Giller, Have you never heard about ex-Christians who were Miracle-working Instruments of GOD, Church Leaders, Preachers, Teachers, etc., but fall away into the bog of sin thereafter? I have. And I believe, GOD could well foresee that evil. Our Spirit War is not about only parades but losses too, you know. Q: In Matthew 10:42 Jesus promised a Reward for just cup of water given to His Disciple. Isn't it a bit easy way to be rewarded? A: No, it isn't. Have a closer look at the Scripture. And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a Disciple, Verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his Reward. (Matthew 10:42) Surely we can give a drink to a stranger in the heat of a day. But let's consider the giving against all reason, no matter what, Giving to Disciple. Let’s make up some scenario. Persecutions are on the go... One day on some open ground persecutors set up a stage of execution for Christians. The last question unto condemned ones is, will you deny your Faith and live or confirm it and die? The answer is like many written in the Book of Martyrs: to die for GOD rather than to live for the devil. Thus, True Discipleship has been proven. So, the verdict is death. The last wish was inquired, and a cup of water was asked for… There is a crowd around there – people of very different views. The water is available too. Commanding officer asked, will anybody kindly bring some water over here, but on one condition: get the same death penalty. You are there in that crowd. What would you do? Shalom, Reading the above comments, I can't help thinking, hey, maybe the Church Services aren't that important, eh? For the two or three gathered together in His Name can be much easier found at any Small Group. Sometimes at Small Groups, I used to ask some Preachers whether he/she had preached at the latest Service. If the answer was Yes, I asked other folks, had they been present there and if Yes, what was that Sermon about. Almost always the silence was the answer. Q: Jesus is Lord. So, what kind of spiritual authority has Satan? A: Zero. Neither he ever had. At the same time, …the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the Light of the Glorious Gospel of Christ, Who is the Image of GOD, should shine unto them. In full accord with Genesis 1:26-28, we humans have our irrevocable Spirit Dominion over this Earth, sealed up by the Word of LORD GOD. However, considering 2Corinthians 4:4, we can & do open or close up our mind to/on whomsoever we please, and eventually become the Servants of GOD or the puppets of the devil. As his puppets silly folks gradually destroy the beautiful world, they live in. The powerless evil spirit actually rules as a king. The Blessed Statement of Jesus in Matthew 28:18 made no difference in this regard – we people (even the most important part of GOD's Creation) remain free to serve Him or the evil one. Judged & cursed, Satan is still the god of this world steadily leading his demons & foolish unbelievers to eternal death. What does it mean, put GOD First in your life? Let's try this simple questionnaire checking up our Right-Standing with LORD GOD to answer this question. 1. Giving time Do I daily sacrifice a good amount of time for Prayer and Bible Study? Do I always come to Church Services and Small Groups well before they begin, having my routine business left behind and mobile phone off? 2. Giving property Am I always Honest to GOD in Tithes and Offerings? Am I always dressed up for the Church Service as I honestly think is right? Am I always ready to welcome needy folks into my house? 3. Giving labor Do I serve LORD to the best of my abilities? 4. Giving life Am I ready to deny myself, leave all and follow Him? 5. Obedience Is the Word of GOD the Highest & Final Authority for me and, therefore, I always answer No to whosoever, all common sense, any legal rules, Church regulations, traditions, &c., &c., contradicting the Holy Scriptures? Q: Who had created hell? GOD is Love – He couldn’t: Love doesn't create tortures. On the other hand, All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. (John 1:3) So, who had made it? A: Let's first try to make a right definition. Hell (a.k.a. sheol, hades, gehenna, bottomless pit) is the spirit area, actually existing and operating in the spirit world. The actual physical position of hell is deep down in the center of Earth globe (by Revelation 9:1-2 & 11:7 it's the bottomless pit.) However, even if some researchers ever get there, nothing of the sort might be found – much the same as a try to see Angels out there in the sky. Now, we humans are they who made it. All our sins (evil words & actions) are born in and commanded by the mind when we give in to evil thoughts sent out by Satan. Those evil thoughts of humans develop into their evil intentions, attitudes, words, actions and thus echo in the spirit world at some spirit dumping ground – hell. The last is still being enlarged by and actually waiting for the unsaved souls investing into it. For, surely, the total amount of sin done is much more than that repented of, confessed to and forgiven by LORD GOD. This Scripture (on another subject, but) might serve a good analogy: Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on Earth shall be bound in Heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on Earth shall be loosed in Heaven. (Matthew 18:18) There are many Parables of Christ helping us to comprehend Heaven. Why can't we also comprehend hell several ways, compared to a bank wherein there are only negative accounts or debts (see Matthew 6:12) collected? Speaking of hell, there have always been people who had Visions of hell. The pictures honestly described are fearful, yet, hardly perceivable since they are but symbols. (We have come to the same conclusion discussing the Kingdom of Heaven in Q & A article 153.) Since the hell is spiritual, the tortures therein are spiritual too. Holy Scriptures described it as a fire – spirit fire it is. The fearful pain which physical fire does to a human body is compared to the pain, a human spirit suffers in hell. Probably, the second death is nothing but the eternal agony of conscience... Therefore, to have a personal glimpse into the hell, you and I might just recall any of those bad feelings of remorse, we all have had more than once. Try to imagine a clear total recall and the remorse embracing all our evil thoughts, words, and works. We cannot continue in that state of mind very long, can we? But the condemned spirits will... Many persons, I am aware, have entered into ingenious debates about the Eternal Fire, by which the wicked will be tormented after the Judgment. But we may conclude from many Passages of Scripture, that it is a metaphorical expression... Let us lay aside the speculations, by which foolish men weary themselves to no purpose, and satisfy ourselves with believing, that these forms of speech denote, in a manner suited to our feeble capacity, a dreadful torment, which no man can now comprehend, and no language can express... The question: Talking in a Church about some discipline, we often hear the argument, This is not an army! What would you say to that? My answer: If you mean the Believers are late to Church Services and Small Groups, it's a sure sign that GOD is not First for them. As for that argument you hear, make sure the people know what they talk about. Verily, far not everyone has ever been to the military. As for me, I've been there (don't want anymore) and therefore may say better of those dumped years of mine. Sure, the Church of GOD is neither army nor navy and shouldn't have anything to do with either their order or their disorder – all of the same evil origin. Let's consider these Scriptures to better understand the Discipline we need. When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first... (Matthew 12:43-45) ...Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them. But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your Minister: And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be Servant of all. (Mark 10:42-44) Is any sick among you? let him call for the Elders of the Church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with Oil in the Name of the Lord... (James 5:14) So, what do you think is common in the above Verses? Lo, in Spirit War there are regulations which quite resemble one another on both sides of the front line. Those regulations are not even close to those of worldly military. For the higher ranks in the spirit realm presume a higher understanding, not a higher pride. How does god discipline? Does he give us pain? Does he give us embarrassment or sickness? Does he make others abuse or assault us? I want to know the exact ways god disciplines us and how far he usually goes. Shalom Chris, I'll try to answer the first question of yours, since the rest have already been answered above. It is us also who play the chief role in our own punishment due. Let's see the Scriptures. The Angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear Him, and delivereth them. (Psalm 34:7) Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my Refuge, even the Most High, thy Habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For He shall give His Angels Charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy Ways. (Psalm 91:9-11) Here we can see the Mighty Work of GOD's Protection over His People. Search Old Testament Scriptures and find there all the same Protection over the whole Israel. LORD promised and gave them the best land on the face of Earth asking in return only their Faithfulness to Him. They were more than protected being able to win battles using no arms at all – GOD did that for them... In the same Holy Writings we can also see quite opposite pictures. People turned their backs to GOD and got into abominable idolatry. Have a look at the above Scriptures and imagine everything to the contrary: godless people, Guardian Angels step back, demons step forward... As it seems to me, GOD's Punishment is not about doing evil, rather it's all about termination of doing Good. For how long? That depends on ourselves. Dear Leslie, It is written, Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. (Luke 17:3-4) Mind the Words ...if he repent... Therefore in he/she doesn't, our Forgiving should have but the way of not striking or backbiting back. That has nothing to do with a doormat. Or a cowardice. And the offender should know that. You might kindly see the person as a spirit-blind pappet of the devil. Fight the puppet-master rather than a puppet. How? Just say right in his/her eye, IT IS WRITTEN... Dear DOJCI, I understand what you've said. I've had my sorrowful experience with some Pastors, Congragations, and denominations not to be named, which don't believe in Spirit War at all and pervert the Scriptures incredibly. Sorry. Nevertheless, please, keep somewhere in your mind what I suggested above. For, believe it or not, that's not written from Faith & Hope but my actual Christian experience. Please, pray for the kid yourself with the laying on of hands or else, seek the help of experienced Christian Minister for the same. Are there any Local Church and Small Group(s) for Communion of Saints where you live? Group Prayer is good in that case. Stay on with your friend. Ask her to fast on worldly media and cleanse her home from any evil publications. What about Bible Study together? Avoid any ungodly advises & "help" from outside the Church. Keep Faith. Shalom, If you mean communication with Satan, everybody has that experience, Christian or not. His main weapon is lie spoken through common sense, compromise, mammon, &c., &c. Your best argument talking to any evil spirit is IT IS WRITTEN.
