Hmm not all things that go bad

I agree with you the church should give for a change, their's plenty of pastors without a church that could do it, even more so since greed won't be involved.

Hmm not all things that go bad

Sounds like a real good idea to me, more so if no one takes a collection.

Thoughts About Taking The Heat On Forums

1 Corinthians chapter 11 verse 19 No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God's approval.

    Question about John 6:29

I believe Galatians chapter 5 verse 6 sums up the whole bible, and what Jesus wants us to do. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself in love.

    Breaking off the addiction

I was addicted to pot, when I was under age, it was easier to get than beer, when I was of age I switched to beer, and got tired of being addicted, so I went to AA, I started in 85, I went back and forth, until 95 when I got sober with an enlarged liver, I've been studying the bible 36 years, and also quit smoking through prayer, always pray, but you might want to try AA if it's drugs or booze. But never give up on prayer, and most people die from addiction, so use everything you can. James chapter 5 verse 17 Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Luke chapter 18 verse 1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. Isaiah chapter 62 verse 6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest, 1 Chronicles chapter 4 10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request. Daniel chapter 9 verse 18 Give ear, our God, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city that bears your Name. We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy. 2 Kings chapter 20 verse 5 "Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of My people, 'This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. I will surely heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the house of the LORD.

The Blood of Jesus is Enough

Matthew chapter 25 verses 31-46 When the Son of Man comes" in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. he will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Then the King will say to those on his right, Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. then the righteous will answer him, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and got visit you? The King will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me. Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.They also will answer, Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you? He will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me. Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.

The Blood of Jesus is Enough

Jeremiah chapter 22 verse 16 He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is that not what it means to know me?" declares the LORD.

The Blood of Jesus is Enough

The Jews never obeyed God by being kind to the poor, that's why they were exiled.

The Blood of Jesus is Enough

James chapter 2 verse 18 But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. Ephesians chapter 2 verse 10 For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Stepping Away I Need A Break

I think it's because we're all not perfect, but we think we are sometimes.
  13. Unless everyone becomes a Christian it will always be that way, but even so some who claim to be Christians are greedy to.

Matt. 5 31-32 One more time...

Then what's Jesus talking about? Are you saying Moses never permitted divorce, and Jesus doesn't know what he's talking about.

Matt. 5 31-32 One more time...

Deuteronomy chapter 24 verse 1 If a man marries a woman who becomes displeasing to him because he finds something indecent about her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce, gives it to her and sends her from his house, Look Jesus is teaching something other than what Moses is.
