  1. Selfish. This one is offended and therefore everyone not of that mind should be deprived. And those proselytizing should be stopped. They demonstrate they need Christ. Prayerfully they'll lose this lawsuit. I wonder if this kid would be so ready to go against Muslim's who might attempt to proselytize the doctrine of mad-muhammad?
  2. This may help the discussion to proceed on Biblical grounds. Born of the Spirit Author: Ray C. Stedman
  3. It is a shame that today it is hard to find the truth of Jesus teachings in many churches. The most noticeable could be those that broadcast. There are some such places that teach the born again Christian is still a sinner. That's a lie of course and yet how many people in such congregations sit and believe that? Rather than wait for that service to be over and then never darken the doorway of that location again? Romans 6:6, ‘Knowing this that our old self was crucified with Christ … that we should no longer be slaves to sin, for he who has died is freed from sin’ Reading the Book of John chapter 3 helps to understand that we are born again in the spirit. When we were alive in this world as sinners we were dead in this flesh. When we accepted Jesus and were baptized, that's by immersion into the water only, we arose as did Jesus from the grave, that living tomb where flesh was all, and were renewed in the spirit of Christ. Because as the word tells us, we cannot enter Heaven unless we that are born of the flesh, are born again in the spirit. If you encounter a church that tries to tell you as a redeemed Baptized reborn Christian that you are still a sinner, leave! Because that is a building populated by false teachers who are hoping to teach you where they are in their flesh. They are not of Christ or they would never lie in his name. Be Blessed. Hold to the truth of Christ and his word will never lead you wrong.
  4. Past sins are no longer relevant to the Christian in that they were covered under the blood of Christ the moment that sinner believed. Further, they are no longer considered to be that fallen person, a sinner, once they have accepted Christ as their savior from sins. All transgressions that may occur are covered under the blood of Christ's sacrifice for the sins of the world. And should we offend we have a mediator between ourselves and God, Jesus Christ. So that sin is not counted against us as the redeemed from sin , a Christian. CHRISTIANS STOP CALLING YOURSELVES SINNERS http://gregoryccochran.com/2014/07/15/christians-stop-calling-yourselves-sinners/
  5. The anti-Catholic bias being unnecessary, I would wonder how any Christian who is saved by grace arguing Mary, the human source for the deliverer from sin that was the means by which God delivered his grace to the world, would not be full of God's grace so as to be worthy of the job. Deal with it. Or don't. But don't attempt to argue Mary was less than what God intended of her. And just for your edification being you clearly lack this knowledge, names are capitalized. Therefore it is Mary. You're not really capable of discussing the mother of God, which isn't a Catholic thing, when you don't respect her by name first.
  6. God declared Mary highly favored, which means grace filled. That's enough for me. Luke 1 χαριτόω (charitoō) Strong: G5487 GK: G5923 to favor, visit with favor, to make an object of favor, to gift, Eph. 1:6; pass. to be visited with free favor, be an object of gracious visitation, Lk. 1:28
  7. Hard to imagine a simple truth garnered this much debate. scripture link:Matthew 1:22–23. The Gospel of Matthew cites the prophecy of the sign of Immanuel from Isaiah, using a Greek translation rather than the original Hebrew. ... 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. [A full article with supporting scriptural teachings @ Wikipedia. Normally not something I use but being this is all inclusive I made an exception: LINK]
  8. Be a follower of Christ who was God in flesh. Not of men who propose to leave a legacy of their name defining in their perspective what Jesus meant to say. Calvinism is false. Arminianism is absurd in that it teaches you have to labor to keep your salvation, which is not of Christ and his true teachings. Research the patriarchs that founded denominational theology in Christianity and you will learn they were fallible men. Being Christian the one truth is the teachings of Jesus Christ. Which is to say, no, you can never lose your salvation. Because it was given to you as a gift by God himself. You can backslide, as it is sometimes referred to. Which means, act in accordance with the world's values. However, just because a Christian may give up on Christ it does not mean Christ our Lord gives up on us. We are humans after all. And that makes us weak. God knows. And that is why his eternal gift can never be revoked by our mortal choice. John 3:16? Before we found Jesus we were dead in our sins. Had we died we would have been eternally separated from God. Just as we were before we found our way to redemption and regeneration into new creations that are one in Christ. Returned to our relationship with God the Father. The separation occurred because of the veil of this worlds entrapment's that all pertain to the human ego. Had we died as infants we would return to the Father because we were innocents. When we are accountable for our choices, every age being unique to each person's personal mental development, that is when our sins are counted against us. We are led to believe by and within this world that this world and the flesh is all that matters. And we are in essence god's in creation of our own desires to satisfy our own need for more. More money, more fame, more material items, whatever it is that is our fixation that thinks satisfying the carnal hedonistic flesh is all that matters at any expense, even other people and their happiness. When we find Jesus, who was the King of the Universe, but was born in a humble beginning starting with arriving to be swaddled in rags and laid in an animals feed trough, we witness the perfect example of humility. Kings brought riches to the stable where baby Jesus was laid. Riches enough to sustain his carpenter father and his beloved mother for the rest of their lives. Though a carpenter in ancient Palestine would not have made a meager living in his own right. And given all that Jesus stayed humble. Because as he said he came to save the sinners, not the righteous. Because the well do not need a physician. The ill do. Jesus was a Jew. Born in a sacrificial system wherein animals blood was shed in order to cover the sins of the people. Each and every transgression. However, it didn't wash them clean and give them rebirth and reunion as new creations in God. Their faith in God saved their souls. While their sins were perpetual from day to day. Jesus was that perfect last unblemished lamb. And he was nailed to the cross, the last altar where sin would be covered for eternity by his precious blood of man and holy spirit. And all that is needed to receive that God given gift by God's grace alone is, faith. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Before you were saved you were dead in your sins. Eternal death awaited once your life as a sinner was over. Everlasting life in Jesus = eternal salvation. Eternally saved from the fate that awaits the un~redeemed. God of all made us that promise! And he sent himself in Christ Jesus, "anointed" = Christos, Emmanuel = God with us, to deliver personally his new covenant of eternal salvation. God did that! No man's doctrine usurps the King of all creation's will or word. Not one. Trust in Jesus. Forego any tradition of man that tells you you have something to do in order to keep what was God's grace filled gift to you; eternal salvation. ETERNAL! Means exactly what God meant it to be. FOREVER! No matter what. It was God's gift. And God doesn't rescind his gift when he knew you before he created this world. You were his before you were born. Your name, as is the case with all true Christians, was written in Jesus, the Lamb's , Book of Life. Meaning, those names that are given eternal life in Christ, before the Father that created that covenant in future created the world upon which it would unfold. Fear not. God is with you. Because his Holy Spirit is within you. Satan has his disciples too. And they are dedicated to telling you all that is a lie. That mortal flesh and ego filled will is more able to rescind what God gave in salvation to that Christian who doubts. Satan and his appointed disciples roam this world like hungry lions seeking souls to devour and minds to mislead. Don't believe them. Satan was a liar from the moment he thought he could take over Heaven. And he remains a liar on this world where he fell after God threw him and his dark angels out. God loves you. No one changes that! When they try to convince you otherwise, pray for them. Because in the effort of their will to try and mislead you into thinking you're not really saved, and therefore Jesus didn't really die to cover your sins for eternity under his blood, and God remembers you sins no more, they're demonstrating to you that they have no idea what salvation is. They do not have it themselves. Otherwise, they wouldn't strive so hard to convince the saints in Christ they're not really saved from the sins of this world. No one who is in Christ continues to sin. Those who tell you you can sin and lose your salvation are not saved. It doesn't take a lot to turn away from such false leading. Their fate is sealed unless they repent because they hear Jesus' voice calling them to be repentant and redeemed. But you know what? Those type are not your responsibility. They're trying to make you believe their lies. Kick the dust from your feet and walk away. God does know his own children. And he knows who they are too. God loves you! Eternally. Fear not the leading of men or women that hope to tell you different. And never ever believe them. Believe Jesus. He died to bring you his truth. Here are some resources for you to consider that support the fact that God's gifts, which means his free gift of eternal salvation, are irrevocable. (Romans 11:29) Which means they cannot be revoked, taken back, repealed. 1.4. Assurance of Eternal Security Introduction While the believer may gain assurance of his salvation and know that he has been saved, the question may arise concerning the permanence of his salvation. Once genuinely saved by trusting in the merit of Christ’s death on the cross for sin, can the believer lose his salvation? Is there anything we can do to lose our salvation? The answer is NO! Why? Because Scripture clearly affirms the fact we are protected by the power of God through faith. Faith brings us into a grace relationship with God as a gift of God through the merit of His beloved Son. We are saved by His record, not ours. 1 Peter 1:5 who by God’s power are protected through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Ephesians 1:6 to the praise of the glory of his grace that he has freely bestowed on us in his dearly loved Son. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 it is not from works, so that no one can boast. The following seven approaches set forth the case for the believer’s eternal security, “buckled up for safety” because of the power of God and the overwhelming sufficiency of the person and work of Christ.
  9. You can never lose your salvation. It is eternal. It is by God free gift of grace that salvation is available to those whom he calls unto repentance. Because those who heed the call are those sheep Jesus spoke of when he said he knows us by name. And we, those sheep, know his voice and follow him. If we give up on Jesus, fall away, Jesus doesn't give up on us. Because we were his before the world came to be. Our names were written in the Lamb's book of life before this world was created by God's will and sovereign power. Never let anyone tell you you can do something to lose your salvation. Because you did nothing to earn it in the first place. You have faith in Jesus and his sacrifice for your sins. You repented, were redeemed of those transgressions, and those sins/transgressions, were put under the blood Jesus sacrificed on the last sin altar, the cross, as that perfect unblemished Lamb that took away the sins of the world there. You were baptized in the Holy Spirit of God the moment you believed. And you were indwelt by his Holy Spirit that now will guide you into all truth. As with all relationships, it takes time to trust and communication is vital. Because you've just renounced the world's trappings and entered into God's grace. Pray, spend time with God. Meditate, take long walks in the wonder of his creation, nature. You are renewed in the spirit , love, and life of Christ. The old you is passed away and the new you has arisen to be in Christ. Praise the Lord! Jesus speaking here: John 6:39, "And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day." John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." John 10: 7-28, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; 28 and I give eternal life to them, and they shall never perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My hand." 1 John 2:19, "They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, in order that it might be shown that they all are not of us." I've happened on atheist sponsored sites wherein they hope to mislead those who are truly in Christ. Because be aware there are those who pretend to be Christian just to deceive the actual saints of God, as the Bible tells us also. Jesus never knew them. They are not in Christ. Those sites attempt to say that eternal salvation teachings are a license to sin. This of course is not true. Because the word of God clearly teaches that those who are in Christ do not make a habit of sinning. They do not sin. Those who willfully sin are not of God. Whereas the actual redeemed in Christ Christian is a new creation and no longer that former sinner self. 1 John 3:9Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 2 Corinthians 5: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. We have God, his Holy Spirit, living within us. We cannot be led to willfully sin. John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. God bless you.
  10. What a horrible dismissive remark.
  11. Isaiah 45 and particularly verses 7&8 6. Why is there Evil and Suffering?
  12. No, as I said, I thank you for not wasting too much of my time. You've made enough effort to make a point that allows one to realize a decent conversation is not within your framework of understanding nor participation in a Christians forum.
  13. Holding those convert Iranian's in prayer. Iran is an Islamic theocracy. Apostates, those who leave the faith, are to be persuaded back to Islam, or killed. The Koran allows for either route. And Iran is so strict they murder homosexuals that come out of the closet or are found out. All due to the tenets of the Koran. One can only imagine what these new brothers and sisters in Christ are to suffer. Praise God though. His will be done. Wouldn't it be a miracle were Iran to become a Christian country in the next few years? Wow.
  14. To the contrary. That's why I called you out. And the last part of your remarks is contradictory. There are no quiet discussions by virtue of the definition of quiet. And kindly? I was kind in my post. You appear not to appreciate people disagreeing with your perspective. That doesn't make you correct. That makes you very young.
