  1. Charismatics disobey rules for spiritual gift usage. Spirit-filled believers have orderly services and lives.
  2. Yes, sinning goes against faith, for faith in the Bible = TRUST. Trust is a virtuous cycle.
  3. 1) 90% or more of issues you are anxious about are future events that will never happen 2) Trust Jesus Christ only for salvation and ask Him to help you with anxiety 3) Talk with Christians at church about anxiety deliverance ministry and anxiety counseling
  4. To get closer to God is NOT eating, drinking and smoking. 1) Be sure you are close. Have you trusted Jesus's death and resurrection for eternal life? If so, you have a relationship with Jesus. 2) See #1.
  5. Two married women are each other's wives (legal definition). Respecting people means "share the good news with them".
  6. How do you feel about Ephesians 4, that prophets help the church until . . . the church, not the scriptures, are complete, full, utterly accomplished. So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ [at the Rapture/Return]. I'm a fundamentalist, but not a cessationist.
  7. There are many Proverbs, Psalms and prophecy writings that "bad things happen to [relatively] good people, too". NO ONE goes to Heaven without being PERFECT. Trust Jesus today for perfection when He comes to judge!
  8. They could have also seen His feet or footstool, with glory covering him above His feet.
  9. Someone baptized in the Spirit for spiritual gifts might speak in tongues or not. Some fruit will be evidenced related to speaking, for example, words of knowledge or words of faith, etc.
  10. What is objectionable about putting a bit of water on an infant's forehead? Especially when you can invite everyone to a post-baptism party at your home, where you say a few words, the saving gospel of Jesus Christ!
  11. Exercise is a cure for many bodily ailments, and depression, and much more. However, you should also pursue spiritual healing and associate with believers who understand how God routinely, frequently provides powerful healing for believers and nonbelievers.
  12. NOT your fault. Pursue a Christian counselor or Christian church with folks experienced in helping VICTIMS of ABUSE. NOT YOUR FAULT.
  13. Visit a Spirit-filled church and ask for deliverance prayer from compulsive thoughts and/or a born again Christian counselor to help OCD and compulsive thoughts, PLEASE.
  14. My gift included the death of my old man and an adoption certificate. I'm God's child and Satan cannot resurrect my old man and take me up as his child again. Your understanding of assurance is based on your understanding of salvation--and what a gift is. If you're starving and I pay for a gift of food to you, I do not watch your life for decades to come so you can vomit up and return food to me. Jesus paid for my eternal life and I will cling to Him, though my brothers and sisters long to tell me that Jesus is angrily taking back my free gift if I sin or backslide.
  15. I'd like to ask those who reject assurance to tell us why salvation isn't a free gift, per John 3:16, Romans 6:23, etc. Thanks!
  16. John 3:16 provides the response to the gospel (trust Jesus for eternal life) AND assurance (whoever trusts today will never in the future perish).
  17. No one is perfect and only perfect people can live in a utopia, so God was born on Earth, perfect, to die and rise to switch places with us/pay for our sin. Trust Jesus today for eternal life, He will perfect you at the Rapture so you can enter Heaven.
  18. There are verses on stopping the argument when the person is being difficult. There are other verses on debating the facts and fighting for the faith. I avoid most arguments by trumping them all this way, "Only perfect people go to Heaven." Most (challenging) arguments extol the goodness of the unsaved.
  19. Did the people of the NT have to deal with false teachers and bad doctrine, in abundance? Did the NT writers warn those to come they'd face the same challenges? Do all Christians interpret all of the Bible the same way?
  20. The website is in error. For example, Luke 1 says "I, Luke, have known everything from the beginning and also interviewed OTHER eyewitnesses to make a complete record."
  21. Did you know that 1 John answers the question, "Who is he who overcomes?"
