One comment on Genesis 6:1-4--not demons or angels.

IMO, if one really wants to get into the weeds on this issue, just read 1 Enoch. -
Many GOP Leaders Secretly Hope Trump Loses
Still Alive replied to Vine Abider's topic in U.S. Politics
Actually, I've gotten to the point where I see them as the true republicans, while folks like Trump are the "RINO's". It's why I left the R party early in dubya's second term. I finally figured out that we were dealing with two sides of the same Uniparty playing "good cop, bad cop" with us. The narcissistic young adults see the democrats as the "good cop", while the adults see the Republicans as the "good cop". but in reality it is all a sham - until someone like Trump comes along. Which is one of many reasons I like him. -
Gotcha. I heard about a year ago that Trump was talking about doing what the Democrats were doing regarding mail in ballots. Basically playing the 21st century voting game, rather than fighting using the last century's style. Of course, the best solution is how they do it in my country (Kentucky). We do "in person, with ID" voting and if you want an absentee ballot you have to ask for one and explain why you need it. I know because I had to do that once. They take voter ID pretty serious here, which may explain why our elected offices are so full of republicans that they have enough votes to override a governor's veto.

What is Pachase.com?

I was kind of suggesting that a day or two ago. But yeah, reading through these last few pages, all doubt has been removed, at least IMO. But don't get me wrong. I think she should be allowed to post whatever she thinks as long as she avoids the profanity. The cool thing about true freedom of speech is that those that are demonstrably wrong are given "enough rope to hang themselves".

Oh, em, gee! I'm going to have to believe that is satire. Either that or we're seeing an episode of Sky News' "lefties losing it" right here on a Christian site. I'm assuming we are all actually adults here. Or did I miss something? To be blunt is IS a good satire post. Nobody well informed would seriously bring up the utterly destroyed MSM talking points you bring up in your post about Trump. At least, nobody interested enough to actively participate in political discussions with people that actually follow this from BOTH sides. So I stick with this: That was a satire post.

It would have been interesting to check stats before Covid hit. That really messed things up. I honestly wish he had ignored it - like I did. I don't really trust Factcheck, though they are not as biased as some. Here is fun info from the White house a couple of years into his first term: https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/immigration/291320/trumps-list-289-accomplishments-in-just-20-months-relentless-promise-keeping/

Kamala wants to change the debate rules, even wants notes
Still Alive replied to Debp's topic in News Videos
I've been cancelled by seven sites in the last four years. Only one before that. And that is since 1997. And for a lot less than saying something like that. We live in an interesting world. It's why I avoid politics here mostly. And for the record, we have our first amendment. She has the right to "ask for" anything she wants. But what she asks for says plenty about her. -

To everyone: I just ran down this entire thread. I think we're being played. -
Kamala wants to change the debate rules, even wants notes

She agreed to the rules. To quote Mal Reynolds, this applies to Kam: "Why are you arguing what's already been decided?" -
Kamala wants to change the debate rules, even wants notes

I don't want to be cancelled by the site, but I have to say this: That is a textbook example of "partisan spin". This is obviously not about "improving" the debate. It's about changing it to fit your strengths and/or hide your weaknesses. What makes it obvious is that, among other things, she had already agreed to the rules. It's like coming to agreement after negotiating a price and trying to then change the price at the last minute. That does not show integrity. -

Actually, as I watched the last debate I thought to myself, "this is actually a debate". The others were anything but. The point is moot since she's backed off, but her ideas were no improvement. I loved that they cut the mics and didn't allow notes. -
The liberal media won't show you this side of Trump
Still Alive replied to Debp's topic in General Videos
I'm definitely gonna agree there is a LOT of cool-aid going around these days. Looks like were returning to sanity, though. Major retail chain joins growing list of US brands to ditch Pride events, DEI schemes -
Well, personally, I can't speak for them. I compare him more to Cyrus the Great. But different people have different takes on this. I just see him as the only viable option. Literally. And when you listen to Vance speak, he's the most "statesmanlike" of the bunch. I'd vote for him for president based on his track record alone. Not as good as Trumps, but better than the other two by several orders of magnitude. How soon people forget that even the left labelled her the worst VP in memory, yet then, when Biden quits, suddenly say SHE is the anointed. It's comical when you think about it. Maybe that's why at the convention it was all about her "vibe" rather than her track record. And to quote Kamala:

I wondered about this early on when I saw the "MAGA" kid bashing windows with a skateboard as the crowd dragged him down and away. Sorry, skateboards are not the weapon of choice for the MAGA crowd. It was just weird. Then there was the tucker Carlson released video of what looked like pseudo "special forces" or "swat" guys before the event coming in off elevators. Like the Trump assassination attempt. A lot of stuff just doesn't make sense. And as everyone who has raised teenagers knows, when a story doesn't make sense, it means they are lying.
-
You do realize that is not what happenned, right? I don't have TV, but I DO have YouTube and Rumble. I saw LOTS of videos after the fact. Frankly, I think one reason Tucker Carlson was fired was because he was exposing information about government agents in the crowd. I'm not going to get into the specifics and argue this particular issue, but I plead with you to educate yourself about the whole event, what trump actually said before the event, why the national guard was not called, what trump said afterward, etc. It's not at all how the MSM portrayed it. And the information is out there for everyone to see. You no longer need to depend on their partisan filter. One comical bias exposed: Trump wants to stop taxes on tips. The MSM said it would cost the government billions. Shortly afterward, Harris says SHE wants to stop the tax on tips. MSM praises her for helping workers. Dead serious. I can't post videos in this thread so you'll just have to look for yourself. But it is a textbook case. BTW, she was the deciding vote that sicked the IRS on tip income.

One thing that I've argued is a total lie (since the 80's) is that you should not talk religion or politics. Fact is, those are the only two things that are important enough to talk about. And people voluntarily silence themselves. It's important. You can talk about those things and still be polite. And especially regarding Christianity, you don't need to be aggressive, but like Jesus and the apostles, you should be assertive. Don't be a coward. Don't be afraid. Don't shirk your responsibility that Jesus himself gave you. Wear the armor and go forth! BTW, this is not specifically to you. It's to all Christians. All is my opinion, of course.

Oh, I take them seriously. It's actually one of the reasons I moved from Seattle to rural Kentucky back in 2011. And I bought the property two weeks before the 2008 election. It wasn't Obama I had a problem with. It was both parties, and the voters. It was always fun to ask people, "Assume Obama is lily white. What qualifications does he bring to the table?" Boy oh boy, that ticked a lot of people off. Partly because they had no idea. But yeah. I bought my 12 acres and then the 20 acres next door in 2013. And the property taxes on both is the price of a loaded large pizza every month. BTW, we've added a 30x60 garage/mancave. That is what's reflected in the property taxes.
-
Nobody takes her seriously. Even the D's. Well, there is one group: Those that really don't follow politics, but have been convinced that "orange man bad". Anyone even remotely paying attention knows better. They simply fall into the "Hates Trump so much they'd vote for the devil himself against Trump.". And those people believe what they do either out of utter ignorance, or pure evil. It's really that binary. But I believe it's usually the former, with the exception of high level D leadership and MSM political pundits, that know better.

Yep. I'm talking about what he said and why he said it.
