  1. I read this book recently and it is excellent. It is written by a Christian. If you know someone struggling with any addiction this book could help you help them or they could read it too but I think you should read it first. This book is mainly about Alcohol and drug addiction but the principles can apply to any addiction. It is called: ADDICTIONS A Banquet in the Grave by (Finding Hope in the Power of the Gospel) Edward T. Welch. They sell it on Amazon too.
  2. Leviticus 19:31-32 0You must keep My Sabbaths and have reverence for My sanctuary. I am the LORD. 31You must not turn to mediums or spiritists; do not seek them out, or you will be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.32 God does not approve if it is not of the Lord it is following Satan, even though it may seem harmless, Satan disguises himself as an angel of Light.
  3. It is a way to seek some guidance apart from the Lord .. any spirit. That is never a good idea.

  6. I personally don't think Paul was upset with John Mark because of abandonment issues. Some time later Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us go back and visit the believers in all the towns where we preached the word of the Lord and see how they are doing.” 37 Barnabas wanted to take John, also called Mark, with them, 38 but Paul did not think it wise to take him, because he had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not continued with them in the work. 39 They had such a sharp disagreement that they parted company. Barnabas took Mark and sailed for Cyprus, 40 but Paul chose Silas and left, commended by the believers to the grace of the Lord. 41 He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches. He was unreliable and left it was a big deal to Paul as he did not stay the course and keep the commitment he made. That's how I see it.
  7. Just thought of this verse. Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit. 1 Cor. 12:3
  8. This is the welcome section only but I wanted to help you. You can get more help in the forums and we have a prayer section also.
  9. Welcome to Worthy Catlin. Of course it is wrong to say bad things against God ...but remember Jesus said, "he who comes to me I will in no wise cast out". "All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. John 6: 37 Go to Jesus and repent pray and repent and any time you have an evil thought cast it down. A thought comes in against the Lord say NO say .. Jesus is Lord. I love God the father and Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Keep in prayer and God's word and sing to the Lord worship songs. Quote scripture .. The bible says resist the Devil and he will flee from you. Take every thought captive. 12So the one who thinks he is standing firm should be careful not to fall. 13No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide an escape, so that you can stand up under it. 14Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.… Put on the armor of God. Read Ephesians 6 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Read full chapter 2 Corinthians 10:5 in all English translations Praying for you. Trust in God's word and not your emotions. 1 John 1:9 1 John 1:9, NASB: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Believe it... f you have done this with your mind and heart then you did it. Trust in God's word and that you have been forgiven. If you don't feel it you don't .. God never lies. If he has forgiven you he has.. cling to that and move on and continue to follow him. Maybe way off here but It could be that maybe you have some other condition. I know someone who has OCD and needs medication to help.. Please don't take offense just want to help you. This person I know is a professing christian but has different struggles but all are thought related. She is incredibly smart but still has these weird thoughts and she has to cast them down as well.
  10. I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. Psalm 101:3
  11. Eph. 5:19 Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord, Also: And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises to God: and the prisoners heard them. at midnight.
  12. tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in My Father’s kingdom.” 30And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. 31Then Jesus said to them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of Me. For it is written: ‘I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’… Mt. 26:30
  13. I don't have it figured out either but I agree with you, the Holy Spirit overshadowed her and life began in her, creating a human baby (but Jesus was always the son of God too) I just wanted to share the verses with you. Sorry I got off track from the main subject. God bless you!
  14. Seed was from the king James Version (my memory) of it. I looked at bible hub on the verse it does say "seed" in Hebrew. Gen. 3:15 I think they mean offspring though.
  15. Sorry I know this is off topic but I want to show my brother or sister Elect 777 what I think. Regarding Mary's seed: Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring[a] and hers; he will crush[b] your head, and you will strike his heel.” Jesus was tempted because he had human flesh born of Eve, who also was also from the line of David. He was fully God and fully human. 14Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we profess. 15For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who was tempted in every way that we are, yet was without sin. 16Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.…
  16. It's very cool to think of the ground, in what looks like a animal print. Not sure that was your aim. But super special. The first I really like too. I think you are giftec.
  17. Interesting. Love the spotted ground on second one too. Are they yours? Both are great.
  18. I think #4 is the most interesting. But I see a blue dinosaur on the bottom over that a reddish Venetian mask. Above the mask a 1/2 face of a person peeking out.
  19. Well, it seems that some churches follow some trends. Many churches are doing this in the area and I think it's to cater to the young people maybe. Give them a sorta concert feeling with the music, but I am speculating not sure. It's just too bad as it was so beautiful before and now the church is closed due to covid. This is God's church. May God's perfect will be done.
  20. Welcome to Worthy. I am praying for you right now. 2 Corinthians 10:5 King James Version (KJV) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
  21. Hi Everyone! Please let's be kind one to another and forgive each other. Let's speak with respect to each other. Regarding the OP. I was reminded today of the Armor of God! Ephesians 6:10-18 New International Version (NIV) The Armor of God 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. We have spiritual warfare and Satan and his kind wants us to fall and sin, some with this and some with that .. whatever works he will use. For one lust another pride, etc. we have to be watchful at all times. I need to really focus more on this myself to put on the armor each day and think about it and stay alert and pray more. Praying for love, forgiveness and reconciliation for all who need it here on this thread.
