Only the Dead in Christ Return With Him

Sorry, still too esoteric to hold my interest.

Only the Dead in Christ Return With Him

Ask yourself a question. When is Jesus coming, before or after the Great Tribulation? After! The scriptures you referenced, I've quoted here. They do not say that when Jesus comes seven years after the secret rapture He will return the earth with both those who sleep in Jesus AND the living that were raptured. The rapture doesn't happen until the actual second coming when the spirits Jesus brings back will be reunited with their bodies that are changed. I don't know how you can read these verses any other way??? 1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 5 1 Thessalonians 14:14 " 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

You can be as nasty as you like. Where is your scripture to back up your doctrine without twisting any? Let's see if it is true of false.

Only the Dead in Christ Return With Him

Hi Daniel, Are you coming from a pre-trib or post trib standpoint? The way I see 1 Thessalonians 4 about this: 3 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words. 1. Christ returns with the spirits of those who sleep in Chirst - no one alive comes back as pre-tribbers claim. This debunks that false theory. 2. The dead bodies rise first, are reunited with their now glorified bodies and rise in the air. 3. Those who are alive and have never died, are changed with immortal bodies and rise to meet them in the air.

Together means all those who are alive. The dead come back with Christ. Period. And those who are alive are joined with them at the second coming. What it is not is there is a secret rapture of the alive and dead, and then 7 years later the dead and the alive come back with Christ to meet the Christian Jews who are alive and have remained on earth..

Only the Dead in Christ Return With Him

Even though you read it that way, I see it just the opposite. If there was a rapture seven years (or even 3 1/2) before Christ returns, then the alive would return with the dead, not meet them in the air at the second coming.

Is Violence Coming To Christians in America?

I don't actually attempt to interpret dreams. I know when a dream is prophetic, and the interpretation comes with it. I also know when its pizza.

Is Violence Coming To Christians in America?

Yes, I watched a secular show once on dream interpretation. Heard the dream, and then the experts interpretation based on the objects in the dream. Their interpretation had nothing to do with the context of the dream. Then another told their dream, with the same objects, and the expert used the rote interpretation as the first, yet didn't make sense.

Is Violence Coming To Christians in America?

No, what I mean is "this" equals "that" referring to specifics: snakes only represent this, and babies only represent that. It is not fool proof, and if one makes it a formula, then anyone can come up with an interpretation based on the objects, and not even have the Holy Spirit. For instance, if our formula said, blood only means violence, when the Spirit could mean protection by the blood, then we miss His interpretation. Not saying that is the case here. So in what manner did you receive the interpretation? By the objects, or by the Spirit. I imagine Spirit, but only you know.

Is Violence Coming To Christians in America?

I'll respond here, even though I clicked from the other site. I do believe in dreams and visions. When I hear the details of dreams, or have them, myself, I usually have the interpretation if it is a prophetic dream, but not by deciphering what objects mean, like cell phones. I know there are classes on this, but I've never thought much about them. As for this one, I'll let you know if I get anything. But yours seems logical, knowing the signs of the time.

    Babbling Against Tongues

Yes, I agree there is a difference between the sign of tongues, and the gift of tongues. So my question to you remains. Is the "sign" a positive sign, in light of the surrounding verses?
  14. Philadelphianlady

    Any backup out there?

Yes, I agree and already said that.

    Babbling Against Tongues

Well, I'm not a denominationalist, but do know what tongues are and are not. And they are not just as a sign to Jews, but to any non-believer in Christ. That is what the verse 21 was referring to. Jesus came to the Jews first, but we are grafted into that olive tree. But the question is, is it a positive sign to the Jew or unbeliever in Christ?
