  1. Well one side promotes mutilating children (trans agenda) and killing babies in the womb, as well as pushes the LGBTQ+ agenda. Pretty easy to vote for Trump that considered, which is what I will do.
  2. Thank both of you for your input. I feel better now lol.
  3. Was re-reading Matthew on my phone not sure how to post and quote it properly. Always was a bit confused about this verse. It is the "some of you will not taste death until my kingdom comes" line, paraphrasing of course. How can we explain this? I have read arguments He means the transfiguration. I'm not sure if that makes sense. Maybe the kingdom He refers to the Church? It really bothers me that such a seemingly obvious contradiction exists. Please explain. There's other claims Jesus made with similar wording iirc, all of which seemed to indicate His return would be within the lifetime of His apostles.
  4. And to point out the obvious the book is named GENESIS. Why start with the recreation of some mysterious pre existing world at the beginning of your story? lol It makes about as much sense as God using "days" to mean "any number of years that mosts align with modern day science on the age of the earth" I guess (not that free grace has made that argument, just that I have seen that argument by those who push old earth before).
  5. So answer to my 7 days question. Keep on dodging if you like dude lol.
  6. Not sure who AiG is but if they're promoting the actual origins of man to be primordial goo or us descending from apes then yes, they are lying. And again why would an all powerful God not realize what the implications of what the word "day" means? I don't care what other orginizations say, if it contradicts scripture it is a lie. We have the same text. I don't need to be a scientist or a popular Christian orginization to understand the clear and direct language found in Genesis. So answer my question please.
  7. Thing is Genesis reads like a history book and uses simple and clear language. It also lists exact ages of death and family lines etc. Not a lot of room for debate. And again, what does 7 days tell us if it is not a literal 7 days? You're telling me God couldn't just had said 7 ages? Why pick a period of time that the world would understand to be 7 24 hour periods yet actually mean ANY number of years? It's ridiculous. Evolution is not compatible with the Bible. There's now way one could read Genesis and arrive at evolution being the origin of man.The term "evolution believing Christian" is oxymoron. You'd either have to be lost to believe it, or deliberately spreading its lie.
  8. Not giving me hope lol. I haven't even attempted a relationship in 7 years. Sent my best friend on a scouting mission for me recently though. He's known me since elementary school. I'm 33 now and need to actually get on the ball pronto.
  9. I was reading Genesis this very day. So our Lord, gives painstaking family lines, exact years, in simple, clear, direct language with little room for any other interpretation throughout Genesis. But on the 7 day creation He chooses to use a commonly accepted period of time, and ACTUALLY mean it to be an indeterminate number of years over any stretch of eras, ages etc. He might as well have told us nothing at all! Barbarian all the scientific speculation and evidence in the world is completely irrelevant to a professing Christian. Your authority is God and His word. Give me a scriptural argument or drop the charade and stop sowing doubt into this community. You could be an Einstein in your scientific field and it would mean less than nothing to me.
  10. I gotta be blunt, the amount of cognitive dissonance and delusional thinking one has to have to think the creation account of Genesis is in ANY way compatible with evolution is astonishing. There's nothing vague or mysterious about how Genesis reads. It's clear as day and you're lying to yourself or intentionally making it unclear to say otherwise. Plus the idea that the original people would have been come up with the idea of evolution from the Genesis account is laughable. It's painfully obvious that one who is a supposed Christian and fully buys into evolution and spreads its lie is prioritizing modern scientific conclusions above the word of God and warping it beyond recognition. It's hard to tolerate. You can't serve two masters. Be honest with yourself and pick one. Is it man's account you trust or God's?
  11. The Bible doesn't make a claim on the nature of atoms. It does make a claim on the origins of man. You either believe it or you don't. It's that simple. You've made it abundantly clear however that you think man knows more about how we came to be than God does. You should probably come to terms with that.
  12. Since when does it matter how many people believe something? All that matters is what is most consistent with the text it's not a popularity contest lol. The way is narrow. The whole appeal of the Bible is it is absolute and unchanging. It doesn't matter what most think. It doesn't matter what science or the experts claim. What matters is what is written. If only 2 people got the truth and everyone else said otherwise it wouldn't stop being the truth. Like I would hope your beliefs are backed by more than "well a lot of others said it!". That's a ridiculous view to have. A lot of modern day Christians are fine with lgbtq stuff as well. I guess since it's becoming popular we'll just start ignoring text then! lol
  13. For the sake of civility I'll drop out now. Not gonna waste anymore time on it. Goodbye.
  14. Dude you gonna address the 4th Commandment or not already? You keep ignoring the question.
  15. Can you address the 4th commandment argument? Why does it clearly indicate a literal 7 days being the case in Genesis? You realize if you can't your "7 days=actually millions of years" argument is COMPLETELY destroyed right? Explain.
  16. Dude if you arguments are indistinguishable from an atheist's it's kinda hard to believe your sincerity. Don't mangle and pervert the scriptures. You'd be better off just admitting you don't believe them. Either you believe the Bible or the world's understanding it is your decision. Choose who your loyalty belongs to. You can't serve two masters.
  17. I have subscribed to a few already such as Wise Disciple, Apologia Studios, and Good Faith Ministries etc. Was wondering if anyone here had some more suggestions? Like active channels that upload content regularly?
  18. I just ask because it is critical. Jesus references the ark, Jesus is perfect and cannot lie. So it can't be metaphorical it has to be an actual event. I just want a breakdown of the logic if possible. Obviously miracles are a thing I was just wondering if there was a more detailed explanation. But really I suppose it is silly because God is omnipotent and supernatural. He could obviously make it work I suppose. I just imagine most atheists/agnostics are gonna scoff at that.
  19. Hello fellow believers! As the title states this is about Noah's Ark. If I am ever confronted with a question about how it is possible 2 of every animal (as we know there is a staggering variety on Earth) fit on the ark, I want a good answer to give them. I think the key has to be them being determined by the term "kinds"?
  20. Bit blown a way I'm on a Christian site and reading people arguing that we came from apes, scoffing at creationism, and twisting the very plain and straightforward text of Genesis. If you don't believe it move on, don't pervert and mangle what is clearly written down.
  21. I'll talk to him about it. Already had an argument with him the day I found out (not a bad one really more of a discussion with some emotion mixed in). I am gonna take it slow cause I don't want to scare him and his wife off or mess up our friendship. But you're right it is a false church they are attending. Just trying to figure out how to word everything to steer them in the right direction.
