  1. "yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live." Make sure you really understand the difference between "from" and "through". The Father: from whom all things came. - we live for our Father. The Lord Jesus: We were made through him (in the image of Jesus). Thus why we are not Spirits (Father). We live through Jesus the mediator, in order to live for our Father. Jesus didn't make things through the Father. The Father made things, through Jesus. Jesus didn't make all things.
  2. When you read others passages, especially OT. Make sure you read in context. They can be referring to physical death. "13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works." - The sea gave up the dead which were who? All sinners. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." - Death and hell which were the deliverers, were cast into the lake of fire (eternal punishment) 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." - Who is not found in the book of life? All sinners. Where do they go? Lake of fire (eternal punishment) Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. Jesus said that, are you going to argue against Jesus' word?
  3. This is from the verse you quoted. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. That includes all who were judged. Which is every man. Again, what is the lake of fire? It's the place of eternal punishment
  4. Matthew 25:46 "These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
  5. Revelation 20:10 "And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever."
  6. It has to exist, or God isn't just. All those who raped, murdered, stole. They would be set free without a punishment. If Christians go to heaven, then where to sinners go? As to what hell is really like, only your imagination can tell.
  7. Read the scripture and you'll know.
  8. Paul was referring to holy days COMMANDED BY GOD. HALLOWEEN IS NOT INCLUSIVE IN THAT SCRIPTURE.
  9. Are you seriously going to twist this scripture to your own gain? 2 Peter 3:16 "Consider also that our Lord’s patience brings salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom God gave him. He writes this way in all his letters, speaking in them about such matters. Some parts of his letters are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction." First we need to understand that Paul was confronting a heresy. False teachers had infiltrated the congregation in Colosse. These deceivers had influenced the Colossian Christians by introducing their own religious philosophy. This prompted Paul to warn the Colossians, “Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit according to the tradition of men” (Colossians 2:8). Humanly devised tradition—not the revealed instructions of God’s Word in the Bible—was the problem Paul was countering. Earlier Jesus had taken the Pharisees to task over the same kind of problem. They also had elevated their traditions to greater importance than God’s commandments (Mark 7:8-13). Paul tried to keep the Colossians focused on Christ as the head of the Church (Colossians 1:18; Colossians 2:10-19). But these false teachers were trying to persuade them to direct their worship toward angels (Colossians 2:18) and neglect their own bodies (Colossians 2:23). No such distorted ideas are taught anywhere in the Scriptures. When Paul wrote, “… Let no one judge you in food …” (Colossians 2:16), he wasn’t discussing what types of foods they should or should not eat. The Greek word brosis, translated “food,” refers not to the kinds of foods one should or should not eat, but to “the act of eating” (Vine’s Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words, 1985, “Food”). The point is that the deceivers disdained feasting—any type of eating and drinking for enjoyment. Paul instructed the Colossian Christians not to be influenced by these false teachers’ objections to eating, drinking and rejoicing on Sabbaths, feast days and new moons.
  10. It doesn't matter if we are okay with Thanksgiving. What matters is what God is okay with.
  11. Jesus says: "Why do you forsake the commandments of God, for the traditions of man". What are traditions of man? That's right...wordly holidays. The holidays celebrated in the Roman era, were celebrating false gods. Guess what, Paul does speak out against it: idolatry. There was no "Santy claus and friendly ghosts". Satan took every evil holiday and painted it as friendly. There were many sins Paul didn't list. But we were given a standard of moral perfection, by which we measure up to our lives. But again like I said, if God had an opinion on halloween, I can guarantee 1000000% he would be against it. What is a holiday. The true meaning is "holy day", meaning set apart. What was halloween set apart for? That's right, evil. Only difference is, all these evil things are 'cute' now. I truly hope you do research into ancient holidays, including Halloween and Christmas. Find their origins, and what they are founded on. Then come and tell us what you learned, that others can see a change of heart, and be changed themselves. Look into Samhain. Always remember what scripture says. A bad tree cannot produce good fruit. The root of the tree (halloween), is founded upon evil. Therefore, all association with the holiday, is evil. Only the enemy has made the skin of the fruit look pleasing, to lure in ignorant souls.
  12. By compromising with evil, you likewise partake with it. All sin, is sin.
  13. You can run from me the messenger. But God's word will grind you to powder, unless you first fall on him. The Bible has no verses directly proportional to smoking weed. Are you going to convince me it's okay? The Spirit convicts and it convicts many Christians on here. But you are not convicted? Reprove your faith. Don't harden your heart, because you don't like the truth. If the word of God I deliver to you, hurts you. Then let it be so and let yourself hurt.
  14. Of course. Just as Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." The same way I find rest in Jesus, the same way I break. I share in my mind his trials on the cross. With every whip he receives, my heart breaks and a stream of tears fall. Apprehending his nobility to take my spot on the cross. Where I deserved to be. He innocent, took my place. His word crushes me by it's power. It exposes the darkness in me, and makes it light. It shatters my pride and dignity, until I humble and break before him.
  15. God will judge you by his word, and you're avoiding his word for the sake of your traditions. You asked for verses, I gave them. These were paraphrased and contrasted in my original post. You were never going to believe these verses were relevant, even before you asked. You're expecting a verse like, "don't celebrate halloween or go to hell". If God had a list of specific things to avoid. I can guarantee 10000% halloween and any association thereof, would be on that list!! He would not say, "Halloween is bad, but give the kids candy and a little tract, so they will come to me". If you think he would, then you do not know God. Because you do not know his word.
