  1. Welcome here @Dandalf It is a pleasure for all of us to have you here... and of course God is full of joy to have reached your heart... because it's written indeed: 3 Then Jesus told them this parable:4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. Again welcome and may God bless and guide you!
  2. Welcome here @Md92987 when I find myself in anxiety I would read to Jesus words in the gospel and I always find confort in them... expecially when it comes to the topic of life after death.. 14 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God[a]; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come backand take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.” 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truthand the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know[b] my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” May God bless you and may you find peace and joy in God.
  3. @Deborah_ "What things has Jesus authorised us to pray for? The things in the Lord's prayer: the advance of God's Kingdom, our daily bread (necessities, not luxuries), forgiveness of our sins, etc. But not much else." I totally do agree with you. Jesus taught us how to pray. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. 9 “This, then, is how you should pray: “ ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’ I don't think that is wrong to pray for something else but always remembering not to "put God to test" doing that. 5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourf down. For it is written: “ ‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’ ” 7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’” this is what I think. God bless you all. ☺️
  4. Welcome Happy Girl, As all the people already wrote, when we choose God, he will take us with him, cause he is a good Father and he is more than happy when one of his son that was lost decide to follow him again, cause he wants to share with us what TRUE JOY is like. John 15:11 [Jesus, to his disciples] – “I have said these things to you so that my JOY (χαρα) may be in you, and that your JOY (χαρα) may be complete”.
