  2. In Him

    Hello I'm new here

Blessings to you and welcome to Worthy, Kani!
  3. And he lifted up his eyes and saw his brother Benjamin, his mother's son, and said, Is this your younger brother, of whom ye spake unto me? And he said God be gracious unto thee, my son. And Joseph made haste; for his bowels did yearn upon his brother: and he sought where to weep; and he entered into his chamber, and wept there And he washed his face, and went out, and refrained himself, and said, Set on bread. And they set on for him by himself, and for them by themselves, and for the Egyptians, which did eat with him, by themselves: because the Egyptians might not eat bread with the Hebrews; for that is an abomination unto the Egyptians. And they sat before him, the firstborn according to his birthright, and the youngest according to his youth: and the men marveled one at another. And he took and sent messes unto them from before him: but Benjamin's mess was five times so much as any of theirs. And they drank and were merry with him. Genesis 43:29-34
  4. And the man brought the men into Joseph's house, and gave them water, and they washed their feet; and he gave their asses provender. And they made ready the present against Joseph came at noon: for they heard that they should eat bread there. And when Joseph came home, they brought him the present which was in their hand into the house, and bowed themselves to him to the earth. And he asked them of their welfare, and said, Is your father well, the old man of whom ye spake? Is he yet alive? And they answered, Thy servant our father is in good health, he is yet alive. And they bowed down their heads, and made obeisance. Genesis 43:24-28

    Trying to learn

I’ve often thought of this post sitting here since Friday. Posts that speak to my heart about growing in Christ are welcome because I need them. I read every word and between the lines, searching for something from Him for me. And I never go away empty. I feel I’ve come to see His heart a little more. Thank you for portraying Him so beautifully with "Healing in His Wings"... I'm learning that walking in the integrity of our hearts is one of the meanings of walking in righteousness. And He blesses righteousness. I want to be blessed and have a proper heart in me. A heart that looks to please the Lord in all things.
  7. Joseph's Brothers Return to Egypt And the famine was sore in the land. And it came to pass, when they had eaten up the corn which they had brought out of Egypt, their father said unto them, Go again, buy us a little food. And Judah spake unto him, saying, The man did solemnly protest unto us, saying, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you. If thou wilt send our brother with us, we will go down and buy thee food: But if thou wilt not send him, we will not go down: for the man said unto us, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you. Genesis 43:1-5
  8. Send one of you, and let him fetch your brother, and ye shall be kept in prison, that your words may be proved, whether there be any truth in you: or else by the life of Pharaoh surely ye are spies. And he put them all together into ward three days. And Joseph said unto them the third day, This do, and live; for I fear God: If ye be true men, let one of your brethren be bound in the house of your prison: go ye, carry corn for the famine of your houses: But bring your youngest brother unto me; so shall your words be verified, and ye shall not die. And they did so. Genesis 42:16-20

A story of what God showed a little boy

@Not me I didn't realize there was no sound. I wept with the little boy's speaking/weeping. Hope you can find it. Blessings. Never mind. Found where to unmute.
  10. Dear sisters and brother: Sorry for posting anything here other than scripture, but I am confused again as to where to start posting after double posting, so I will bow out. Thank you for allowing me to be a part. God's blessings.

    Joy and Compassion etc question

Hi Maryjane, I have to say amen to what our brother posted. And PgforHim. I can only add my 2 cents. Being a sister, and knowing what you’re talking about on an emotional level to some extent, I can empathize. I had to cry out to God just to be physically held I needed it so badly at one time in my life. And you know what? He held me. Sitting right there in my rocking chair. It took many years for me to believe and know His love for me all the time, and to rest in that. I ‘knew’ it intellectually of course because it is written. But my pride kept me from knowing/receiving Him in all His ways of love, as in All things work together for good... I hate platitudes as much as the next person, and there is no band-aid for our human condition, but there is Him. He who understands us and knows all things. Who commands us to thank Him in and for all things. To offer praise when we don’t feel like it. To trust Him. To look to Him. To keep our eyes’minds on Him, and not our selves. To give Him everything so He can give us Himself...Joy. And peace. And rest. Thank you, Lord, for maryjane, our sister. We bring her before Your Throne of Grace and ask that You meet her needs, Almighty God. Is anything too hard for You? You Who love us and have us in the palm of Your hand. Thank You for what You’re doing in her life and for what You’re going to do. In Jesus’ Name.
