  1. " Why do you think that it is important to say " Jesus was buried", instead what really happened, that Jesus was put in a tomb on the side of a hill... " Because that is what happened. The Greek word thapto means to put into the earth or entomb. Criminals were often put to death and their body thrown into a place called Gehenna (a mass grave) with no burial, a fire was kept going there to consume the bodies - presumably a dishonorable body disposal after death for criminals and strangers - usually Gentiles so that the Hebrew grave site areas were kept apart from Gentile pollution. Jesus body OTOH was ritually prepared and anointed for a Jewish burial in a Jewish grave.
  2. Hi Friendnt, I think English is not your native language and we are not communicating efficiently, my apologies. You said “He had to come in the flesh...born through Mary, Emanuel, and die on the Cross first. And raised from the dead and received and Glorified by the Father first. And receive Heaven as his inheritance, and take us to Heaven to be with him and the Heavenly Father” Yes, and He promised that while He was here on earth in the flesh. John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: John 16: 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. 12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. So after Jesus died on the cross for our sins, was buried and then came back from the dead, He ascended into heaven(Acts 1:9) and THEN He sent the Holy Spirit to help the apostles remember things and guided them to complete the Bible.
  3. In the past God spoke through prophets and other means which words through the work of the Holy Spirit finally made it into the Scripture. Today God has spoken through His Son and His apostles which through the work of the Holy Spirit has been made Scripture the Bible.
  4. Apart from the Holy Spirit He alone has this eternal and intimate relationship with the Father. He is the final revelator of the Triune God. Hebrews 1 1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; No conflict just added knowledge.
  5. Hello Friend, Bosom – kolpon Liddell Scott – 2. The womb – The place of origin. As far as I know from scripture no on else originates from the Bosom of the Father. It is an eternal relationship In John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Word - O Logos - pre-incarnate Jesus. “was” in this passage is in the imperfect tense indicating continuous action from past time, IOW eternity. I don’t know the importance of the relationship except that it is just the way it is and has been from eternity.
  6. John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. κόλπον τοῦ πατρὸς Unique because He emanates from the innermost being of the Father. True God and true man - post incarnation.
  7. Hola "Mary Jane". The ordeal. There were other family members he had offended. I asked them about it because they had nothing good to say about him. Our parents (my single mother) knew what he was up to but it seemed not to be a big deal. Spiritually sick - actual guilt on his part - assumed guilt of we the victims. This was decades ago as a child. I later married and raised a family. Medical and education professionals need to be trained in recognizing the abused and as I said previously this is NOT just an outside the home Catholic problem but domestic and non-Catholic as well.
  8. This problem of child abuse (pedophilia) of children often starts in the home long before the hands of the so called ministers of God get hold of them. 2 Corinthians 11 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. Yes, mostly male members of the family - even fathers molesting their daughters. http://www.psychiatrictimes.com/sexual-offenses/ramifications-incest As a child (male) I was molested by a teenage cousin who babysat me in the evenings. The situation went through the full 5 stages addressed in URL article above. Often I believe I see the guilt of such an ordeal on the face of certain children but how does one approach the subject apart from prayer? Both the perpetrator and the victim are spiritually sick.
  9. It seemed to me to be a worthy OP. To warn others
  10. Sorry, I was addressing the "look to your own part". Because it is unfair to judge the one but not the other.
  11. Good advise, I already have, what about you? I wouldn't wish these things on anyone's children causing perhaps years, maybe a lifetime, of guilt whether Catholic, Baptist, Jewish, atheist, whatever. Douay-Rheims Matthew 13 41 The Son of man shall send his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all scandals, and them that work iniquity. 42 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
  12. As a Catholic I am offended by the coverage of abuse only by the Catholic Church. Abuse is rampant in other churches https://www.star-telegram.com/living/religion/article222576430.html
