  1. My question is why does god allow it in the first place? Numerous people have said that all will be judged for this act. But is delayed justice really justice?
  2. That was not my point. I agree 100% that we are forgiven by the grace of god through the sacrifice of Jesus. The article you posted by Watchman Nee seemed clear that once saved you must continually repent of all sin, if you don't repent you are no longer saved. He says that confession is part of repentance and that the seven steps he outlined from 2 Cor is the only way god will accept your confession. So not 7 steps, no confession, no salvation. This is what I an objecting to from your post. You don't seem to believe this but you posted writings from a person that does.
  3. A ridged seven step formula for salvation is not good news. With this no one will be saved and no one will know if they are saved or not. This turns grace into works. So in this version god is looking down at you and saying “if he is just has enough zeal, longing etc. then I will save him from his son if not to hell with you.” This is not god, this is the accuser at work. 2 Cor 7 in context is talking about Paul not god.

POLIO- The Vaccine That Changed The World

I wish people that refuse to vaccinate their children realized this.

POLIO- The Vaccine That Changed The World

The truth is that exponentially more people have been saved by vaccines than prayer and fasting only.
  6. Are you saying we need to be sinless? I did not see you answer the question how good does one have to act to be able to evangelize?
  7. It was not a comment about myself but a comment about the theology being presented. Some here are espousing that you need to be “good enough” before you can evangelize. I am challenging that belief by asking how good. I tell people about the gospel of Jesus all the time. Some here would say is am not qualified to do that.
  8. What do you mean by trust in man?
  9. In my opinion you are conflating sanctification and evangelism. Can a new born again christian evangelize the same day they are saved? I say yes. It seems you are saying they cannot. I would also like an answer to my question "How do I know I am good enough to evangelize?" I agree we must pray and follow Jesus teachings on how to live but we will always have sin in our lives and do things that non Christians will see as hypocritical. My take is that the gospel message is how god saves by giving people faith to believe. I push back on the idea that I can thwart gods plan for salvation for someone. My experience is that people that Christians that are not interested in sanctification are usually not interested in evangelizing anyway.
  10. My disagreement is that this is not taught in scripture as far as I can tell.
  11. How good does one have to be to tell someone about salvation? What is the criteria? We are all hypocrites at times. You ask "what then do we have to offer them?" I say we have salvation to offer them, forgiveness of sins to offer them. When I talk to people about the gospel I tell them not to look at my life but look to Jesus life. If non believers think that to be saved they need to be as good as you they will reject it. They know they cannot be as good as the standard. So if we never tell or show them about our struggles with discipleship many will turn away thinkingthey need to be good enough before they can be saved. I have talked to many people that won't be baptized because they are trying to get good enough to please god. They need to know there is no "good enough" to please god only can we please him by being perfect or by Jesus sacrifice.
  12. How do you know this is true? I don't recall Jesus or Paul telling us this is the way to evangelize. Yes, they will know us by our fruits but people are saved by gods word, hearing his gospel. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" Romans 10:9-16 ESV
  13. It is not our works that converts people, it is our words. We are to preach the gospel and let god convict people. Romans 10. People believe by hearing the word not seeing our actions. Jesus said to teach others all he commanded not show people how good we can act. This attitude leads to prideful Christians and comparing faiths. In ametican churches we have forgotten to preach the gospel. Instead feel good sermons and services have replaced gospel preaching. There is more money to be made in these churches than gospel preaching churches. I don’t direct people to look to me but to look to Jesus and his gospel.

atheism, how can a person believe in nothing

Most atheists don’t care if you pray to god. The issue is when your faith affects them in a negative way.

atheism, how can a person believe in nothing

How can they think they know more than god if they don’t believe in him? If god does not exist then you need to think for yourself and come up with a way to live. That is not to believe they are god it is only common sense.
