  1. Leyla recently got a cold which will be difficult for her body to fight off. Please pray for her.
  2. A universe needs a Creator to exist. In this hypothetical situation you've proposed the first could possibly happen if someone was in the right place at the right time going the right distance and so on. The second could not since a downpour such as the one that happened would not naturally encircle a space in the midst of it leaving everything within that space dry. There are miracles that might seem like luck but some miracles are so fantastic that even the most atheistic person can't deny they were an act of God.
  3. Miracles come in different shapes and sizes. Some are more subtle such as a time when God slowed the rain down as it was ramping up when I prayed for it and let it come pouring down again once I made it to the overhang of the building I was going to. Others are more obvious such as a heavy torrent, that was about to hit a large outdoor congregation during an event as it came their way, suddenly splitting apart when one of the church leaders basically boldly demanded that God stop the rain for the sake of the many souls that would be saved that day during the service. (The rain encircled them. It was also one of the heavy seasonal storms so this was particularly miraculous.)
  4. God isn't bound by limitations and He doesn't do illogical things so don't expect Him to put your unstoppable force vs immovable object experiment to the test. He created the laws that keep our universe together and has the power to break them.
  5. Keep in mind these were people living under God. They had experienced generations of slavery under the authority of ruthless masters in Egypt so acting the same way would be a repulsive thing to do. I'm sure cruel treatment wasn't common and this law called for punishment if the slave died as a result of an injury from their master. These slaves were treated like servants. Think of it like a long term housekeeper. They counted as citizens, got to observe all religious holidays including the weekly day of rest, and so on.
  6. Sodom and Gomorha were filled with terrible people. Not even 10 righteous people could be found in the whole city of Sodom. Lot and his family were spared but those left behind deserved their fate. You can read the full story to get a better understanding of it. This form of slavery was more respectful than typical slavery and rules were set to ensure the servants were treated well and eventually set free. It was also a way for someone who had nothing to get by and make a living under the care of another who was better off while they built up their own wealth.
  7. If it's an easy question than you should have no problem answering it with poise.
  8. Drinking should be fine as long as you aren't drinking anything toxic, becoming drunk from it, or depending on it. Smoking can be addictive, harms the body, and is often used as a way to artificially escape the troubles of this world so I think it should be avoided by Christians or anyone who values their health. If a person is truly saved than the occasional stumble won't take their salvation away. However, one shouldn't get comfy in their sin or indulge in sinful things.
  9. Dinosaurs were real so there's no need to worry about that one in any way. Believing that there might be life on other planets should be fine as long as you aren't trying to give them credit for life on our planet.
  10. Some callings are less taxing than others but that doesn't mean they are less important.
  11. I've prayed for her. Hopefully she will be able to get the job.
  12. The existence of the universe is one of my favorite general pieces of proof. Nothing can exist without something creating it regardless of the size or number of the thing in question.
  13. Get involved in hobbies such as gardening or painting, exercise to burn off excess energy and stress, stay caught up with work, join positive social groups, and devote more time to your spiritual well being by praying, studying the Bible, and so on.
  14. A soul can't be sold like an item. God owns the copyright so to speak. However, it can be sold in the sense of a person dedicating themselves to an unholy cause. It's a sin that can be forgiven just like the others. 18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. -1 Peter 3:18
  15. That was just a dream and the number was just a coincidence. God doesn't hate you, He loves you.
