  1. It good to learn you have resolved your queries about giving. It's good to see someone being responsible about where and how their giving is used.
  2. When you have a need, the means to meet that need but don't meet it. That is miserly. Small tablets with Internet access are cheap and if you shop around you can find reconditioned PCs, laptops etc etc for a fraction of the cost of a brand new machine. This is being frugal.
  3. If you want to save money stop spending on unnecessary items. If you are contributing to the rent and other bills but are having to also buy additional food items you need to negotiate a reduction of your rent etc.
  4. We are not under the law I that we are not judged by our fulfilling the law, but the .aw shows us how God wants us to .I've, so Weare required to .I've as the law dictates. As Jesus said " 23 Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me." John 14. If we love Jesus we will show that love by our obedience. The amusing thing is, mention this to Christians and they react as if they love blasphemy, murder and adultery!
  5. You need to challenge him to say where these articles came from and to submit them to historians. The result of my search is :-https://www.battlefields.org/learn/articles/black-confederates-truth-and-legend and this site repeatedly states there are no records of confederate black units, no letters or after the war books, articles that mention confederate black units or serving with or along side such units. It does show an altered picture of a black militia with US officers altered to be a confederate unit. the Web site has records of 7 accou ts where a few armed blacks were encountered. Without more information, sources this is highly unlikely to have happed
  6. Who is the owner of the mobility scooter? If you are, why is your mother selling it? If it was bought for your use, what are they doing about replacing it? Talk to them about your needs. Do they care about you? Are they prepared to help you? If you don't have a scooter will they give you a lift to church and come and collect you?
  7. Jesus had every reason to think he was superior to mere human, but he was very aware that the reason he was incarnated was to serve mankind, as a teacher and as an atoning sacrifice. As he was sinless pride was not part of his character.
  8. One cannot form a universal set of rules, each situation has to be judged on its own merits. A family member who will not comply with your house rules does not have the right of access into your home. One can show love and compassion to an abusive person, finding them somewhere to stay, paying for them, providing food etc. Paul laid out how to deal with a Christia who wouldn't follow a Christian life style. Sometimes all one can do is pray.
  9. Belief in the existence of God is a beginning, that belief has to generate action.
  10. Matt 25: The Parable of the Ten Virgins 25 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3 The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4 The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5 The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. 6 “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ 7 “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8 The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’ 9 “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’ The wise were trimming their lamp wicks and topping them up with oil, that implies the lamps had been burning all the time they were waiting. How did they light a lamp? Most likely with a light from a fire or some other flame, otherwise with a flint, steel and tinder.
  11. We are to show love to our human enemies, not to demonic enemies. Your problem is correctly identifying your oppressor as being possessed. But how should one behave towards someone who clearly is intending one harm. Basically avoid them as much as possible.
  12. Are your parents still alive? If they are may I suggest you ask 5hem are they ashamed of you or proud of you? This should enable you to start laying aside the burdens from your mother. We obtain heaven only because it is a gift we don't deserve and cannot earn.
  13. I not sure what you are concerned about? Jesus is the son of God, part of the trinity as can be seen at Jesus's baptism. Matt 3:16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” Belief in Jesus is the same as be.ief in God the Father, it is not slighting either of them.
  14. Life can be very hard when one is own one's own with no family or friends to get help or advice from. That said can you change jobs to one that is less stressful, could you meet all your bills, could you lower your costs in some way. Otherwise as TFK has said get involved with a local chu4ch. Check out there Web sites, watch any online services, even email the minister with questions and give them a try. To make friends one has to b3 friendly, which means opening ones self to the possibility of rejection. Look out for the people on the fringe, often they are struggling to be accepted so try and befriend them.
  15. You believe something g incredible and unbiblical. Jesus became man, was obedient to his Father's will, clearly had thoughts and feelings that were different to his Father's and he sent the Holy Spirit out on his return. These all show that the trinity involves three separate yet united in one individuals.
  16. Don't they have a Web site giving details of what they believe, tim3s of services, date and times of women's events and midweek bible studies etc etc. Some churches even put recordings of services on line or live stream them.
  17. If that church is within the range of your scooter start attending it. Address your fears about conforming to dress codes by contacting the minister. Ask would he be mortally offender by the sight of a girl in pants on a mobility scooter attending his church. Regardless of what he says go to the church, start meeting people.
  18. So you accept they are individuals, that the Son can ask the Father to do something that the Son cannot do.
  19. They are two different entities. God the Father is not God the Son just as God the Son is not God the Father. They are however one in the trinity and one in purpose.
  20. That is an assumption. The words of Jesus's prayer is " Father forgive them." He is handing the task over to God the Father. We can and should pray for those who hurt or hate us, it is part of doing good to those who persecute us and there is no requirement in that to forgive them. There is a requirement for us to be open and honest with God about them and about our feelings.
  21. Of course you can say no. You are under no obligation to just give because she or anyone else asks. If she asks for cash again, tell her you will get back to her and promptly check her Facebook account, who is she in contact with etc. Then get back to her and point out that she has been meeting, doing what ever events with these people.e so why won't they help her. If she persists ask what did the local food bank say to her request for help? What happened to her request for help from the state or other charities? Keep on asking why other people cannot help her? Your final question is , ' you have borrowed tell her how much, when are you repaying it?' What ever answer she gives about her repaying tell you are not loaning or giving her any money and say good bye. Unfriend her on Facebook and block her phone number.
  22. Strange, Jesus asks his Father to do something and it is read as Jesus is doing it. No Jesus and Stephen did Not forgive their killers. They prayed for their killers that God would forgive them.
  23. You got it in one. When there is no repentance, saying one forgives an offender is really just to make one feel good.
  24. Are we! Jesus does not forgive those who do not repent, and he does not expect us to do so either. Luke17:3 shows that repentance is a vital part of forgiveness. The parabel of the unjust servant shows we who have been forgiven, on our repentance, must forgive those who repent of offending against us. As you rightly say we are to pray for and to do good to those who offend against us. That praying involves us opening up to God about how they have hurt us, about our feelings and to ask that God deals with us and our hurt feelings as well as for God to deal with the offender.
