  1. Just two points,

Who initiated  the policy of ' assimilation ' and who was used to implement  it?

Governments, with good intentions  set up these policies and it fell to churches to implement  these polices.

I suspect that the children force to attend these schools/institutions  were treat no worse then European children attending boarding schools.

With possibly  one major difference,  the European children went home for holidays.

Remember Christianity changes culture and not everyone likes that, not all native culture  is benign.

Read the biographies  of pioneer  missionaries  to Indian tribes on the East Coast or to west Africa, the one I'm thinking king of is Mary Slessor, she literally changed for good the culture of the African tribes she reached.

Other than teaching that the Bible describes a great Flood (true), any of their suggested mechanisms are grossly inadequate ad hoc explanations of what we see in the world around us.

One has to decide is an explanation that is based on the bible and honours the bible is correct or whether explanations  that ignore the bible and are based on man's ideas are correct.

If ccreation scientists  cannot give reasonable  explanations neither can evolution believing scientists.

  3. If its sermons you  want without gimmicks, that seek to explore and apply scripture you can try the following, they all have free online audio recordings.

Dr Martyn Lloyd Jones of Westminster Chapel London,

John Stott of All Souls Langham Plac3 Longon, and

Dick Lucy's of St Helens Bishopsgate London

They are English so their accents can be strange and the Doctor is very logical but very worth  listening to.

"The law, which came 430 years afterward, does not annul a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to make the promise void" (Galatians 3:17).

The "promise" is not conditioned insofar as it can be made void. Jeremiah 31 states that God will remove Israel's heart of stone and replace it with a heart of flesh. When that happens, Israel will be restored to their land along with all other promises made to them by God.

If a reward is given because of the fulfillment  of a law, then it is conditional.

Equally if failure to obey a law results in a punishment it is conditional.

I suggest you check out answersingenesis or creation.com for accurate information about what the bible teaches about the global flood.

One incorrect statement in your quote.

"Unfortunately, the Biblical notion of a universal catastrophic destruction of all living things in the recent geologic past, followed by a Supernatural regeneration of the face of the Earth and the restoration of its surface flora and fauna by the Lord God, is not something many men and women of science would even consider "

The bible does not teach that there was a supernatural regeneration!

The universality of both symbols suggests a common point of origin. It must have been a place where people had a common language, had a unified social structure and belief system — all bound together by a single paramount figure. This place would have been brimming with high sorcery, to the extent where its citizens thought they could supplant their own Creator. This would have been the first One World Government.

It's amazing  how people so readily  reject the truth in preference  for lies.

Genesis tells us of a perfect world spoilt by man's sin and of man's attempt to manipulate God through a unifing  tower.

It's not hi duism that has the true history of the world but the bible.

  7. When Jesus returns we are told that he will return in the same way he left, but that everyone  will see him.

This won't  just be dramatic but utterly terrifying as many people will be trying to hide from him.

Any Jesus that does not have this affect is false.

Verses. Acts 1:10+11 returning the sam3 way.

Rev1:7 every eye will see him

Rev6:16 call for rocks to hide them.

Science does not agree with their interpretation.

Correction scientists interpretation of facts, as influenced by a materialistic view, causes them to disagree with the bible and the views of creation science.

As Christians our authority is the bible, not the views of men.

  9. Not just sincere good intentions, but also ignorance that bit.

The command was for the Ark of the Covernant to be carried on poles, not on an ox cart.

Our intentions might be sincerely wrong, but we have a duty to know what God expects of us. King David should have been advised by the High priest.

We are priests, so should know what the bible says and know how to apply biblical principals to our lives.

Unlike Uzzah, it won't  cost us our life, but it could  cost us much unnecessary  anxiety.

According to Genesis 1, when was the Ice Age?

Have you thought what caused an ice age?

Why should a warm planet suddenly become covered in ice, and why should that ice ever melt?

Both answersingenesis and creation.com have articles that examine  this.

    In a nut shell.

The breakup of the tectonic plates durring the global flood produced enormous volcanic activity.

We see thousands of miles of volcanic rock.

This warmed the sea, while the volcanic aerosol  particles cooled the atmosphere  and land.

Dry winds over warm seas causes evaporation, most air rising over cold land causes precipitation, snow, cold winters and cooler summers would permit snow to remain and build up until there were sheets of ice.

As volcanic activity settled down, subsided,  the aerosols would be washed out of the atmosphere  allowing the land to warm up while the seas would cool down, resulting in less evaporation, less precipitation,  less snow and I e and a retreat of the ice.

The flood explains why the ice age began and ended.

So when Ezekiel says in ch. 36 and 37 that God will again restore the Israelites to their ancient homeland, never again to be uprooted, and that He (Christ) will rule again from the original city of Jerusalem along with King David, you agree with Ezekiel; he didn't prophecy falsely, correct?

    God's promises are all conditional.

Moses read out to the people the blessings that would follow obedience, he also read out the consequences  of disobedience.

Yes if God's people.e had whole heartedly served God they would never leave their land.

Ultimately  that means believing  in Jesus.

So, Ezekiel was a false prophet? (See his quote above in comments.)

It is one thing to say that God will act spiritually in the hearts of Israel. That is true. But it is a leap of logic to conclude that Ezekiel's words are merely "spiritual language" not meant to communicate something "physical." This idea does not originate from Scripture but Gnosticism, as taught by Origen in the 3rd century.

That is your conclusion not mine.

  13.  MAF, Witclife, TearFund and Barnabas fund are four I ternational Christian missions emp.oying professional  people to do a professional job.

The same can be said of mission organisations, even small missions like Morning Star in South Africa or Cari g for Life in Leeds England cannot operate  full time on volunteers alone.

Itsyour money, be diligent a d give as you are lead.

  14. The answer is no nation will change Israel but God himself will change them.

Ezk 36:24 “‘For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land. 25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws

It is not one physical nation but a spiritual nation made up of believers.

  15. It's  your chose the church you want to attend.

If they are secretive about the churches  income and expenditure, don't  contribute.

As a church member one has the right to ask questions about expenditure,  about policies, large purchases and goldenhandshakes.

You have control over how you spend your money. Giving to homeless charities also involves paid staff, premises, tax and insurance.

If you join a church that rents a premises will you be joining the team that sweeps the hall, puts the chairs out, erects  the outside banner, prepares the Sunday school rooms, bringing in the song books, sound system, musical  instrumentsments etc etc.

In short what ever church one attends are you a pew critic or a Barnabas.

  16. The answer is very simple.

The Sun is so much more massive  than the moon that the shadow it casts is far smaller.

Imagine a cone, the sun is the base and the cone is light travelling  to the moon, the end of the cone represents the shadow, which is much smaller.ler.

Isn't Jesus identified as the creator?

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. ... He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. [Jhn 1:1-3, 10-11 KJV]

And until he comes to rule over everything, Jesus point to the Father.

Hi, Perhaps I am blind this morning (or brain dead), but I cannot find the word Christian being used in my English language versions of the Bible*, Nor do I find true except "I am the true vine".

With that I am wondering just what one means when they might say that a person is not a true Christian, or that they themselves are a true Christian. Are true and Christian extrabiblical words of description? Much like Trinity is? Kind of a conclusion reached rather than an actual  Bible word.

Is there such a thing as a true Christian?

    * But for three exceptions

    Try using biblegateway.

I did a quick search and it found:-https://www.biblegateway.com/quicksearch/?quicksearch=Christian&version=NIV

He will come in the name of our great creator God the Father.

since God used adams rib to create eve does it mean all men are missing a rib? and can we get it back plz

As has been said, men are not missing a rib, but to take it further, ribs are often used in reconstructive  surgery for the simple reason that if the ribs covering layer is left in place, then the rib will grow back and can be used again.
