  1. I quoted you, and answered all your comments with the Word of God. The fact you saying I didn't is a cop out, because you know you are wrong so better to dismiss the messenger then to change your ways and be more Christ-like. "John 7:7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil." You just rebuke Jesus, not me. What is funny is that you say you do not live by the law, but you use the law to say you are living by it. The Bible/Word of God is the Law, so when you quote scripture that says "I am saved by Grace so don't need the law", you are saying you are living by the law by not living by the law. Also all your Scripture is using Paul to call Jesus a liar, not understanding Paul was trying to explain the spiritual lessons and not dismiss the teaching of Jesus. Sadly you don't know what the law is, so how can you say you don't need to live by it since you use it and quote it every time you try to make a point.
  2. Exactly, the New Testament is not Torah, the Torah is just the Old Testament and only the first five books.
  3. The problem is you are picking scripture out of context, which is "seemingly disparate". If you let the Holy Spirit guide you, you would know he would lead you to Scripture not "feelings", as Jesus said "John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." The false doctrine is based on the idea of the Holy Spirit giving you thoughts and opinions that pop in your head, no that is called satan. The Holy Spirit works very specifically, he calls to "remembrance" everything Jesus taught you. So if you don't study the Bible because you believe you are saved by Grace so the Bible is a paper weight, then the Holy Spirit will probably never talk to you, because he has nothing to call into remembrance as you don't know anything. Malachi 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: Matthew 11:9 But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet. Matthew 11:10 For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. Matthew 11:11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. Matthew 11:13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. Matthew 11:14 And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come. If we go by the Word of God, inspired by the real Holy Spirit, you would know the last prophet is John the Baptist. Your concept is partly correct in "Jesus was an OT prophet and He was addressing Jews and speaking in terms that they understand being under Moses, but He hints of something greater." But it was not Jesus, that was John's job. It was prophesized a prophet would come before the Massiah, to prepare the Jews for the one that will come that will bring something greater. As John said himself, "Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:" Matthew 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. The reason Jesus spoke to the Jews, was because he was sent first to the "lost sheep of the house of Israel" as was commanded by the Father. But when he died he told his disciples, "teach all nations....teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you". The Message was not changed, there was no new law or new way. Jesus had to follow the command of the Father so went first to the Jews, but he told his disciples to teach what he had taught to the Jews and them. Jesus did not say "a new message", he commanded them to teach what he taught them.
  4. Not sure the point in using original languages to separate, New Testament was written in Greek while the Old Testament in Hebrew, so of course they would have different words. Perhaps Jews of today translated the New Testament into Hebrew and used their own words, but if so then most likely they purposely used a different word so they could keep the Torah and purposely lied in their translation for their flesh pride in their heritage of the Torah. Ordinance in Old Testament Lev is מִשְׁמֶרֶת which means "obligation" or "service", while in Col it is "δόγμα" which means "a law (civil, ceremonial)". Romans 13:2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. Now here in Romans 13 where it gets confusing, "ordinances" here in Romans is not Dogma from Col, but "διαταγή/diatagē" which comes from "διατάσσω/diatassō" which means "appoint, command". The New Testament uses the word ordinances in place of commandments and literal ordinances interchangeably, so unless you look up each word in the original Greek you won't know what the Word of God is trying to say. As we can see from Lev and Col, ordinances were a "service" and "ceremonial law", which is why we are told "Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;". All the ceremonial laws of waiting 3 days after touching a dead body to go to the Temple, is no longer needed. Matthew 25:15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. Matthew 25:27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. Matthew 25:28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. Matthew 25:29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. Matthew 25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. You are taking things out of context, we hear from Jesus himself that we are indeed given the free gift of faith which is our "talent", but if we do not return our faith with "usury" to Jesus he will take our faith away. Those that have not proven their faith during this life, Jesus will "cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness". I find it odd that all these Christians can quote scripture that can point out their beliefs, but some how always forget or ignore every other scripture that shows the context. As Jesus said when satan tried to use scripture out of context to deceive him, "Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." So either Jesus is a liar when he says you need to return "usury" of your faith to him or you will be "cast...into outer darkness", or you are just not living by the entire Word of God but cherry picking to fit your beliefs. Now if you wish to call Jesus a liar so you can continue in your traditions of man, you are welcome too, you have free will. Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. Matthew 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. Matthew 19:25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Here again the way to Heaven by Jesus himself, "if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments". Then when the man said he keeps them, Jesus added "if thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast...and come and follow me". This really has two meanings at once, but it is the union between the Old Testament and New Testament, we need to obey the commandments and be righteous but we also need to give up this life and live spiritually first. As we see in "Matthew 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. 39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it." We must not live for this life and make this our home, we must live for God first and foremost. Those that live for this life can not enter Heaven, because they are not seeking to be Christ-like. This goes to a more in depth version with "1 Corinthians 7:32 But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord: 33 But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife." We are told it is better not to get married, not to have kids, because you need to focus on them and their flesh needs instead of living totally for God. This is not required and most can not handle living as monks, but goes to the point of what Jesus was talking about, that we need to forsake all the things of this life that distract us from being more Christ-like. If it was just "grace" and "faith" only, why would you need to forsake marriage or an active flesh life just to continue in a free gift you do not need to do anything for? Again Jesus says to keep the commandments, but welcome to call him a liar if you wish. James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. In closing, as James said "faith, if it hath not works, is dead". The works is proving our faith by following the commandments and doing works. We are told when Jesus returns and when the Father sets up the White Throne of Judgement, everyone will be rewarded "according to his works". For the final time as we are judged by our works, you can call Jesus a liar if you wish.
  5. 1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 1 Peter 1:8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 1 Peter 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments Bibleguy has it partly right, but where he loses people is that he did not go through the entire Bible when making his point (which is not a bad one). We are told in 1 Peter 1 that all Christians to the "receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls", is that we must first have a "trial of your faith". If all we needed was Grace then the Bible would be lies and God evil, for you can not say you are going to Hell because you did evil then say Christians go to Heaven for doing nothing but God picking them, that would make God a respecter or persons and show all creation he is not a just or righteous God. As 1 Peter 1 says, "Whom having not seen, ye love", then we go to John 14:15 where it says "if ye love me, keep my commandments". So if the trial of faith is the proving our love for God and Jesus Christ, then we are told by Jesus himself the only way to show you love him is to keep his commandments. Genesis 11:4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. Genesis 11:5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. Genesis 11:6 And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Genesis 11:7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. There is one verse people use for the Grace only and it is taken out of context to teach a lie, "Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast." But what Christians that want an easy way out and don't want to learn the Bible or want to be good people by struggling to obey the law, is that the entire point of Ephesians 2 was "lest any man should boast". We can not earn salvation without God, it is the example of the tower of babel, when the people on Earth said "let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven". The story was man trying to work out their own salvation in a symbolic way, that they did not need God, but could just build a tower and climb to Heaven themselves in their arrogance. We are sinners and we need God's Grace to ever have a chance to get to Heaven, but we still need to prove our love for God by following the commandments. Jesus talked about this in Matthew 19, "25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? 26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; Colossians 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Colossians 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Where the Bibleguy is mislead is here in Colossians, we are told to obey the Commandments, but the Torah was filled with ordinances. While circumcision or not touching a dead body is an ordinance in the Torah, they were never commandments. The Commandments remain the same, from keeping the sabbath to don't murder. There are many ordinances that can not be kept, because there are no priests of Levi or Temple, where the ordinances needed to be done and kept, God destroyed both of these so the Jews could no longer try to live by God's Holy Religion of Mosaic law in an evil act of rebellion against his Son because they did not want to be Christians.
  6. Matthew 13:10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? Matthew 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. The first thing we need to understand, is that the Bible is filled with parables and symbolic language. As Marilyn Suggested, the virgins to a husband is symbolic of a purity, even if she does not believe that is the reason. But her logic fails here, as Dustyroad points out, Israel is filled with men so them being a bride but Christians are not because there are male Christians makes no sense (Israel was a guy, who was the father of the Hebrew people). Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. As Marilyn pointed out, flesh Israel was divorced by God, that is why when Jesus came he created the new convenient between the Father and humans called Christianity. By receiving Jesus Christ as our Savior we have "received the Spirit of adoption...that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs". The reason we are told in Romans that the first convenient failed, was because it was based on the flesh with a flesh people and flesh laws, but flesh is evil and can not ever be Holy in God's eyes. So here it shows that "Israel" and "Body of Christ" are the same, since the Body of Christ was adopted as spiritual Israel. Matthew 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. Matthew 25:2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Matthew 25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. As we see from Jesus Christ himself, he compares the "Kingdom of Heaven" to "ten virgins". There will be some foolish Christians that are not prepared for when they meet Jesus at his return or when they die and their souls stand before God, then there will the wise Christians that follow the Word of God and are prepared for when they meet Jesus. But even Jesus refers to himself as the "bridegroom", while eternity as the "marriage" between Christians and Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:3 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 1 Corinthians 1:3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? The problem is that we many times let our flesh minds control our growth as Christians, then we get ideas of "men being a bride is transgender or homosexual", but missing the point that the Word of God is spiritual. That is why the Bible is filled with "milk" or "carnal"/flesh parables and imagery. Again as Jesus stated in Matthew 13, it is not meant for anyone to pick up the Bible and see spiritual things, and also for the babes in Christ who are still learning they can not handle or bare picking up the Bible and reading spiritual "meat". We get to understand the "meat" of the Word when we grow spiritually and the Holy Spirit teaches us, not by one verse but by understanding the entire Bible so we can pull pieces from dozens of verses together to complete a bigger picture of God's plan.
  7. It is not that you do not believe in Hell, it is that your spirit is telling you that the Hell you been lied too about is not real. This is not Hollywood, there is no fire and torture. The Bible tells us clearly, that Hell is just a place people wait at until Jesus returns. The 'torment' for them, is being out of God's grace since they are not in Heaven. The fact that you think you have been "sinless" shows you just don't know the Bible, not that the Bible is wrong. "1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." You might not be willfully sinning (which is good), but you still sin and that is why we need the blood of Jesus to cleanse us as we repent. 1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 1 Peter 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; When Jesus died, for three days he was dead but never went to Heaven, the Bible tells us he went to the "spirits in prison" or Hell, and he preached to them for three days. Those that believed and repented left Hell and went to Heaven, they were waiting there for Jesus' death, because even the righteous were in "Abraham's bosom" which was in Hell as no one could go to Heaven until the Lamb was sacrificed. Revelation 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. During the Tribulation or end times satan and all the demons will be kicked out of Heaven by Michael, Hell will also be emptied and everyone there will be sent to Earth as well. So everyone that does not have the crown of life already will be on Earth at this point, this is so everyone can be gathered together to wait for Jesus' coming for the second time as those in Hell waited for his death on the cross before he preached to them in Hell. Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. When Jesus returns the Christians will be given their crown of life and be priests with him for the thousand years, similar to when Jesus visited Hell when he died on the cross, Jesus and the Christians will be preaching and calling to repentance everyone that was on Earth or Hell. For the second time, everyone will have a chance to chose Jesus Christ as their Savior and go to eternity with the Father. John 9:1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. John 9:2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? John 9:3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. 1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. The problem with "once saved, always saved" and "saved by Grace", is that the Christians that believe this can not explain why they are given the gift of faith but God denies it to another person and sends them to Hell. If God opens our eyes to the truth, then uses the Holy Spirit to make us perfect so we don't sin, then says we don't need works to prove our faith; so what then separates Christians from those going to Hell? If we go to Heaven without deeds, how can the wicked go the Hell because of deeds? That is two faced, and makes God a liar and a respecter of persons. The answer is rather simple, "by their fruits you will know them" and "trial of your faith", are the two correct ways of Christians. With that said, in 1 Corinthians 10:13 we know we are never given more then we can handle. Also from John 9, that we some times have to go through hard times so God's plan can work in us. For those in Hell they were not ready or able to receive the gift of faith, so instead of God giving it to them and watching them fail as he knew they would then receive great punishment, he instead kept their eyes closed and they had to deal with a little hardship of waiting in Hell until Jesus returns. Then when Jesus returns they will be given their chance to be righteous and show they are good people, and so earn the crown of life for themselves. It seems harsh to our flesh minds because we are emotional, but better they wait in Hell and then get a chance to go to eternity, then for them to be given the gift of faith when God knows they will fail and maybe end up in the Lake of Fire. Revelation 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Last note, the "eternal damnation" is not Hell, that is the Lake of Fire. But it is not eternity of burning alive, that is a phrase, we are told it is the second death. Just like when your flesh dies, your human/flesh body no longer exists or thinks. The second death is the same, all evil will be spiritually killed as if they never existed. They will not suffer or feel anything, they will just be nothingness. Which is sad, heart aching to see anyone die, but they will not suffer and it is needed so evil is gone and the righteous can live in eternity peacefully.
  8. The two or more witnesses is important and needed, but that does not mean OT and NT, the two witnesses was Paul in 2 Thessalians and Jesus Christ in Matthew, but I have no problem bringing Torah into it and I would disagree it gives a different picture. Daniel 11:31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate. Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand: ) Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. The "king" in Daniel 11 is satan and not speaking of some flesh man back in OT times, as Jesus quoted Daniel as a reference to a prophecy of the great tribulation. The first thing to point out that the temple in Jerusalem will be rebuilt before satan comes, so when he does come he will rule the world from within the holy of holy chamber deep in the temple where the ark of the convenient use to be in the original temple. We are told the "daily sacrifice" will be taken away, so no more preaching the Word of God, since that would cause debates and conflicts about satan as he tries to deceive people. But this is the "beginning" of great tribulation, but not the tribulation. In Revelation 6 we see the different seals of tribulation, each having their own symbolic horse bringing it's own trials. Daniel 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. Daniel 11:33 And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. Daniel 11:34 Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries. Daniel 11:35 And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed. Revelation 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. Revelation 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. Revelation 11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. Revelation 11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. Revelation 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. Revelation 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. Revelation 11:9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. Revelation 2:8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; Revelation 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. In Daniel the prophecy states that there will be Christians here during the tribulation while satan is here, that will know their God and stay strong while doing exploits. This matches with Revelation 11, where it speaks of the two witnesses (two churches from Revelation, two groups of people?) doing great wonders and giving testimony. There is imagery of the dying or being killed, but this is spiritual. As we learn in Revelation 2, "the devil shall cast some of you in prison, that ye may be tried...be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life". Same language from Daniel 11, "they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries. And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end:". Both in Revelation 2 it is to "try" them, and in Daniel it is to "make them white". There will be Christians that need to prove themselves during the tribulation, satan will be testing and lying to them to deceive them, if they stay strong to God they will be given a crown of life. There is also the church of Philadelphia which will be guarded, we see also in "Revelation 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads." The demons will be commanded by God to target everyone on Earth that does not have the seal of God on the forehead, so the elect will be here, but also the Christians who still have not earned the seal of God who need to be "made white" by being persecuted by satan himself. Daniel 11:36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. Daniel 11:37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all. Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. After the two witnesses of when satan will try to deceive the Christians that need to be made white, Daniel 11 goes on to say that satan will then "magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods". After the two witnesses testify and are tested, in Revelations 11 it says that is the last trumpet when Jesus returns. So it gives us a time line to follow, so we are prepared for the tribulation. -Temple rebuilt in Israel -Tribulation starts -The devil shows up pretending to be Jesus -Christians will be persecuted as satan tries to deceive them to believe he is Jesus. -The devil declares himself above God -Jesus returns -Christians are gathered to Jesus
  9. 2 Thessalonians 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Clearly stated, but will be ignored because humans love to let their traditions of man make void the Word of God (Matthew 15:6), here we are told of "the coming of our lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him". This was not separated, or have any first time, or second time, or thirtieth time. We are told when Jesus returns we will be gathered to him, but then told clearly "let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come....that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God". If you can not figure it out yet by the descriptive language, we are told that satan will be on Earth before Jesus comes and Christians are gathered to him....the "let no man deceive you by any means", is God winking at the rapture 2,000 years ago saying people are going to be telling you trash lies about you being gone before this all happens, but don't listen. Witnesses: Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand: ) Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. Matthew 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: Matthew 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Matthew 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Second Witness from Jesus Christ himself, which will also be ignored in favor of traditions of man, Matthew 24:15 lines up perfect with 2 Thessalonians 2:3, satan will be here in the newly built temple. Now the hints of no pre-trib rapture from 2 Thessalonians 2:1+2 when it says "by our gathering together until him....for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away", we see in Matthew 24:22 "except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." The tribulation was shortened for our sake, so it would not be too hard to bare, because if it lasted as long as originally planned then none of us would be gathered by Jesus when he returned because we would all have fallen to satan's lies by then. As we are told in Matthew 24:31 when Jesus returns "immediately after the tribulation", Jesus "shall send his angels...they shall gather together his elect". 2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 2 Thessalonians 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 2 Thessalonians 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 2 Thessalonians 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. Here is where Behold is misunderstanding again, the Tribulation is for the Christians...or so called. The devil does not need lying wonders, God does not need to send strong delusion, that non-believers should believe a lie. Non-believers and the wicked already worship satan, if they know it or not, they are part of his kingdom on Earth here as you are either a Christian or you are not. So no reason for satan to come pretending to be Jesus and lie about being Jesus, so he could deceive the non-believers, he is targeting the Christians. Why? God tells us, "because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved". This rapture theory is one example of Christian "pleasure in unrighteousness", because it is not about trusting God or being willing to stay strong for God to prove themselves, the rapture is about scared frauds not wanting to be here during the tribulation since it will be hard and trying. All Christian beliefs now, even by Behold's words, "justification by faith"...what? Lazy. "James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?" Belief is nothing without proving it, anyone can say they are a good person, but based on what? What did you do to classify you as a good person? Why should you go to Heaven when so many go to Hell? Is the only difference between those that go to Hell and those that go to Heaven the gift of faith? If that was true, then that makes God a sinner, as he breaks his law and declared himself a respecter of persons. "Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him." Not by faith, everyone that "worketh righteousness, is accepted with him". Witness: Matthew 13:27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? Matthew 13:28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? Matthew 13:29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Matthew 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. As we see "in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them", which goes with "2 Thessalonians 2:8 then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming". What people don't understand, is that the "reapers" are the demons and satan, God will send to gather the tares with lies and God will allow them to believe the lies because the tares did not love the truth and rather live in safe ignorance of being raptured away....that they don't need to follow God's law as they live by Grace...that they don't need to repent, because God makes them so they no longer sin.....that they don't need to do works, just watch tv all day, because they are justified by faith....all easy road traditions of man, believed by people wanting an easy life with no consequences for their actions, but there will be consequences.

    Satan and Job

You are trying to use earth wisdom of space and atmosphere to explain "heaven", those terms were not used by the Bible or God. There are three heavens, but they are three spiritual areas. When a demon or satan wonders earth, we can not see them, do they have a cloaking spell? No they are in a spiritual realm, because they are spiritual creatures.

    Satan and Job

Not want, how can balls of fire in space "turn evil" or follow satan? The Bible is filled with imagery and parables, but if you think a third of the balls of fire in space are evil because they chose to follow satan to rebel against God, then I guess that is your choice to believe...maybe we should start preaching to rocks, so satan does not turn half of the mountains on earth evil too....nonsense. Job 38:6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? If you read the Bible you will know both satan and Jesus are referred too as the Son of the Morning star, and in Job God is talking about the foundation of the world when Jesus and satan sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy. This was not in this Earth Age, Jesus was in Heaven before he came down to Earth, he was part of the first Earth age before Adam when the great rebellion took place. When did satan rebel? When did the demons rebel? Where did the demons come from? Since satan was already evil in Genesis when he tempted Adam and Eve. When did the Dinosaurs exist? The reason why science has been making a fool out of Christians for years, is because we have million year old bones of animals, but Christians still say the earth is 5,000 years old because they think Genesis is day 1...its not, it is the second earth age. But maybe so your narrative and doctrines of man can be right, you will say God just created million year old bones that never existed just for fun to trick people up, just as balls of fire and gas in space turn evil. Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. "was" Strong's H1961: hâyâh, haw-yaw; a primitive root (compare H1933); come to pass, came, has been, were happened, become, pertained, better for thee. If you start off at Genesis 1:1 + 1:2, in the Hebrew hâyâh means "to become", so 1:1 God created Heaven and Earth, then in 1:2 "And the earth [became] without form". Bettween these two verses is the entire first Earth age, dinosaurs, satan's rebellion, etc. Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. God commanded humans to "replenish", which is a term used when something was full, you take it always, and then you refill it or replenish it again. 1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 1 Peter 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; Jesus would not preach to the demons, the spirits in hell or prison are the souls of the dead that did not living righteously. But when Jesus died, the three days he went in the spirit to hell and preached to the souls there, bringing some out of hell to enter paradise. David wrote about this, "you will not leave my soul in hell", but most likely he was in Abraham's bossom which was apart of hell. Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Revelation 9:11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon. While the angels in Genesis that married and had kids with human woman, they were chained up in the "bottomless pit", kept there until the tribulation when they are freed to deceive the world. The prison or hell, is a completely different place, then the bottomless pit where the Angels that took part in the second rebellion during this earth age are kept.

    Satan and Job

Half right, half wrong: satan corrupted a 1/3 of the angels in the first Earth age before Adam and Eve. All the demons are just angels that rebelled against God, as God did not create demons or anything evil. They became evil, because of their will free choice, and their sin caused them to fall from grace and become demons. But yes you are right that satan does go around where he wants right now, and will be kicked out of Heaven in Revelations. Sheol is a prison, too much catholic traditions of man without any Biblical backing here from the book inferno, there are no demons or satan in Hell. Just the non-believers and wicked, which are waiting for Jesus' return. Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, Revelation 12:8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. If you read Luke 10, it is talking about judgement come to evil. the devil was not cast out of Heaven, that does not happen until the tribulation. The demons and satan will fight Michael and his Angels to kick them out of Heaven, but this is at he end of this age. Revelation 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. The reason satan is called the accuser, is because he is in Heaven at the Throne of God all the time pointing out our sins. I just think people are confused about what "Heaven" is, it is a spiritual realm, Heaven is on Earth and in the city where the throne of God is. You can be sitting at your computer, and on your left is standing an Angel in the Heavenly/Spiritual realm. You can not see him, because he is in a different realm of existence then you, but he is on Earth standing beside you but also in Heaven.
  13. Halloween is fake, a fun time for kids to dress up and have candy. Don't zealot spaz it, that is what turns people away from God because they see these lunatic "Christians" on street corners screaming about going to Hell if you dress up for Halloween...it is absurd. If you think it is too evil to take part in a kids holiday; do not read any fiction books, do not watch any tv, do not listen to any music besides Christian songs, do not celebrate Christmas (based on Norse Yule)/Valentine's day (based on pagan orgy festival to goddess of love by Greeks) /st Patrick's day (unless you are Catholic)/ etc etc. 1 Corinthians 8:4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. 1 Corinthians 8:5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) 1 Corinthians 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. 1 Corinthians 8:8 But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.

    Ghosts

"ghosts" of the dead, hauntings, and possessions are all evil spirits. We are told not to tempt the Lord God, so going near these things is never a good idea. No matter how much of a "super grand Christian" you think you are, a spiritual being is more powerful then a flesh person. Christians will come with the reply they can rebuke the spirits, that may not be the case if you are seeking them out, the power to cast out demons come from God and if you are trying to ask God for power while breaking his law by tempting him being there he will probably allow you to get hurt by the spirit as a lesson to know your place and not think too highly of yourself. Other warning I would give is rebuking demons/spirits, if you are in your own home and you are a Christian it is fine to cast out demons and they will stay gone. But lots of problems come with Christians not having understanding when they cast out demons, because the Word of God tells us if we cast out a demon from a non-believer or their house, if they remain non-believers there is no presence of God to prevent the spirits coming back and they will come back 2x or even 3x worse then before. Having the Holy Spirit in us as we are the temple of God where the Holy Spirit dwells keeps the demons out, but if we move from God's grace with sin or others reject God, then they are open vessels to be possessed any time. Matthew 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Matthew 12:44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Matthew 12:45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
  15. I understand, I never heard of that, to me I was taking it as someone posting lots of scripture to back up their beliefs (which over done can be self defeating). But yes, I would agree posting scripture and not explaining the connection is rather useless, it is like the calendars with a scripture of the day. It is nice "oh...that is an interesting verse", but with no explaining or reference to connecting scripture that explains the spiritual truth it is just as if someone quote Socrates or Shakespeare.
  16. John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 1 Corinthians 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. I am not sure about the "scripture bombing", but if you are trying to have a conversation about God and/or Christianity but have no scripture only a post filled with your wisdom of man then to me that is unless trash. When Jesus said the Shephard comes through the gate while the robber jumps over the fence to get to the sheep, the entire point of the parable was that true teachers use the Word of God to guide the sheep while the antichrists use smooth words and false promises that are no where stated in the Bible. The Word of God clearly tells us to let the Word do the talking as it is God who teaches not us, as a teacher our only job is to connect the dots between scripture to help reveal a bigger picture of understanding. John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. If someone posts here trying to "teach" Biblical doctrine but have no scripture, they are liars and antichrists, because the Holy Spirit does not work like two guys at a bar having a conversation. The Holy Spirit calls into remembrance Scripture, then a teacher gives the scripture with some explaining or connecting scripture to connect the dots. If the Christian has eyes to see they will understand, if they do not then it will not matter either way. As said in John the Holy Spirit "bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you", we remember Scripture as we are talking to others and that is the Holy Spirit speaking to us and through us. Jesus answering and teaching by quoting the Bible: Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God Matthew 21:13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
  17. Exodus 19:5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: Exodus 19:6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. Exodus 19:7 And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the Lord commanded him. Exodus 19:8 And all the people answered together, and said, All that the Lord hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the Lord. Isaiah 50:1 Thus saith the Lord, Where is the bill of your mother's divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away. I never said God would change his mind and break the covenant, I said if we break it then we are not entitled to anything. The problem is that you do not understand what a covenant is, for lots of people they read the Word of God and just do not break things down. A Covenant is a legal contract between two parties, each party has set terms to fulfill unless one party fails to fulfill it and breaks the contract, if one party breaks the contract the other party is not required by law to fulfill their side of the contract. As said in Exodus the contract between flesh Israel was made "if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people", Israel then replied "And all the people answered together, and said, All that the Lord hath spoken we will do." IF YE WILL OBEY is what God said, and yes God's convent is forever, he never broke it as he explains in Isaiah 50 "which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves ". God said himself that he did not break the covenant with Israel, their sins broke the legal contract between them and they put themselves away out of God's grace.
  18. I never said the law was ended, I said that the Bloodline has ended. Still have to obey the commandments of Moses, but "Israel" is a spiritual people now and as stated in the Scripture already posted, you can be denied Heaven if you turn away from God. You ignored the words of Jesus, just to post scripture about laws that was never the topic. I never said there was no law, I said the covenant/contract with flesh Israel is voided and now the new covenant Jesus made is spiritual for spiritual Israel. There are still non-salvation promises towards flesh Israel I agree, but because you were born within the bloodline of Israel does not give you an automatic pass to eternal life. Jeremiah 3:8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.
  19. Romans 9:4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; Romans 9:5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. Romans 9:6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Romans 9:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. Romans 9:8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. What people miss is that the old covenant and promises ended with the death of Jesus Christ, that is why the gospel of the Apostles is the NEW testament or new covenant. When Jesus died he destroyed the temple and created a new promise, where Israel is not flesh bloodlines. Israel are Christians, the believers of Christ, are part of the "adoption" of Christ as spiritual Israel. But being a promise based on the covenant or law, there are conditions, if you act evil and break the covenant the promises will no longer be given to you. Matthew 25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. Matthew 25:9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. Matthew 25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Matthew 25:11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. Matthew 25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Matthew 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. There is no "once saved always saved", if you endure you will receive a crown of life as James 1:12 says, in Revelation 3:11 we are told our crown of life can be taken because of our actions.
  20. Romans 12:4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: Romans 12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Romans 12:6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Romans 12:7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; You can search through the Word of God to get the entire list of Spiritual Gifts, they are spread throughout the Scriptures in a few books. But the "talent" in the parable is the valuable good given to us by God, which including our faith, are the Spiritual Gifts. There is only one Body of Christ, which is the host of Christians in the World, there are several jobs. As it would be impossible for one person to do everything, there would not be enough time in his life and it would be overwhelming. We are also commanded by Scripture it is better to be in the company of fellow Christians while doing God's work, that way we know the Holy Spirit is guiding us properly and satan or our flesh is not leading us down the wrong path. "Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." So three Christians go to Africa to spread the Word of God; First you will need a Christian with the gift of evangelism to open the eyes of the non-believers there to God, second you would need a Christian with the gift of teaching so they can instruct and guide the new Christians to solid ground as Christians, but third and most important you need a Christian with the gift of tongues to translate the three Christians' language to the native language of the Africans (no the tongues is not "juuag biiisoo hrajjj,.,.hAHHH!!" demonic speech that has corrupted most Churches, it is someone with a gift to learn languages). Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For the one talent Christian; this could be a new Christian, a Christian that does not have strong faith, or even a Christian that is distracted by the world (see parable of the sower). Just because someone is not the Pope or a great well known Pastor, does not mean they are not a Christian. There are Christians that have lots of understanding of the meat of the Word, then there are Christians that have been living in the milk of the Word of God for fifty to sixty years and show no sign of ever growing past it, both are fine and both are Christians it is just that one is spiritually stronger and can handle more. But as Scripture says the five talent servant has to return another five talents...not only one talent or even three, if you are given five God expects five back. "Luke 12:47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more." For some Christians, they will read the Parable of the Talents and understand we need to do work and God expects things from us before we can go to Heaven. For a Christian with any depth in the Word of God, it is clear as day just by reading this one parable. But many Christians say "you don't need works", and "all you need to do is belief Jesus is the Christ". Why has these Christians' eyes been waxed over, so they are blinded to the Scripture right in front of them? Perhaps they are too spiritually immature or weak to handle the knowledge they can lose their crown and still go to Hell even after becoming Christians, that way when Jesus returns or they die and go to Heaven God has protected them by keeping them ignorant. Since the Word of God says "he that knew not..shall be beaten with few stripes", they didn't do the works God commanded, but he also blinded them to the knowledge that they needed to do works so they will only be "beaten with few stripes". Luke 12:45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; Luke 12:46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. Just like in the parable of the talents, just because you are a Christian and given the gift of faith does not mean you are going to Heaven. As Scripture says, "Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." If receiving a gift from God was the beginning and end of our Spiritual Walk, what is "narrow" or hard about that? God can gift every human the gift of faith, that means they are all Christians and no one ever goes to Hell. We all know that is not the case; So perhaps God is vile and playing favorites, he did not give Sarah or Tom the gift of faith and damned them to Hell because they were ugly or just talked with a lisp? Of course that is not the reason, so the reason can not be of God as Scripture says, "Romans 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God." So we decide if we go to Hell or to Heaven, by our actions. Jesus talked about the gift of faith not being for everyone, "Matthew 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. 16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear...18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower." Now in Matthew 13 after Jesus says if everyone's eyes were opened they would understand and he would heal them, but he does not do that, then directs us to read the parable of the sower to understand why. I will leave you all to read it and pray for understand, so you can understand why faith is not just handed out and why just faith alone is not enough. Lastly we must understand there is a difference between an immature Christian being protected with ignorance to avoid Hell, and a Christian that does evil to earn him a place in Hell. Even a Babe in the Word of God still does works and still proves themselves without them even knowing it or believing it, faith is a spiritual gift, and just by letting their light shine to show the Glory of God by their faith they are doing works and proving themselves to God.
  21. Well by quoting Matthew Chapter 25 you have proven you cherry pick, that is probably the worse Chapter to point to for your case. But even in your cherry picking to prove a tradition of man, you missed something. Matthew 25:42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: As Jesus said "John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." Jesus is the truth and he preached much more then "believe me and Love", this is the milk of the Word of God, the basics. Matthew 25:2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Matthew 25:3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: Matthew 25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. Matthew 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. But why picking Matthew 25 is a bad idea, is that the rest of the chapter says the complete opposite of what you are saying. The first parable in the chapter is the virgins; five were wise and learned and prepared themselves by Studying the Word of God on how to be Christians, while the five foolish did nothing and said "all I need to do is believe" but when Jesus came they were rejected and he did not know them. So having the gift of faith, being a "virgin", is not enough if you do not have the oil to burn your spiritual "light" in the world. Matthew 25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Of course you made sure to say "after verse 30", most Christians hate this parable. Because while the virgin parable talks about learning how to be a Christian and walking a righteous path, the servants and traveling master parable talks about needing works or you will be "cast...into outer darkness". All three parables say they will be rejected, not just the last parable about the stranger, hungry, etc. So with all three parables of Chapter 25: 1. Learn how to be righteous, to prepare yourself for Jesus's coming. 2. Do works 3. Help and comfort others.
  22. 2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 Corinthians 5:2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 2 Corinthians 5:3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Revelation 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. Revelation 1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. Exactly. Like the conversation I was having with 'other one', which believes you just need to believe in Jesus and love God/Neighbor as the only two things in the entire Word of God to follow. I do not believe that idea or not following the sabbath will put you in Hell of course, since we can repent of our sin, but as you pointed out many of these Christian babes will be least in Heaven. Which is fine, that is their measure, and better to be least in Heaven then to be lord in Hell. When we talk about being "least" in Heaven, the scripture that points to this is our spiritual clothing. Jesus being perfect and God, is "clothed with a garment down to the foot", which means there is no skin showing on his spiritual body. As we see in 2 Corinthians we as Christians want spiritual clothing so we are not found "naked", in Revelation 3 we learn that those that overcome and found in the Book of Life to gain eternal life will be "clothed in white raiment". Lastly in Revelation 16 we learn the importance of spiritual clothing for those that did not watch and prepare themselves will lose their garments and be naked to show their "shame", which spiritual nakedness being the shame of not doing what we are suppose to do here on Earth we can conclude when Jesus talks about "least" in Heaven it will be those with little clothing. So while someone like Paul the Apostle will be in eternity with a white robe covering most of his body, others that didn't do as they were suppose too but still went to Heaven as they were not evil will be in eternity with the shame of being naked or maybe wearing a loin cloth.
  23. Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. The idea of the "old" law giving you a false security and not applying is completely false, as told by Jesus himself in Matthew 5. Again, like every cop out of the new age of Christianity, you will say Jesus was speaking to the Jews so Matthew 5 does not apply to Christians. There is a couple mistakes there; 1. All of Jesus ministry was to the Jews, as he said "Matthew 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel." His ministry was first to Israel, then after he died he commanded the Apostles to spread his ministry to the gentiles, but the ministry the apostles spread was not different then what Jesus shared with the Jews. 2. The "new laws" are taken out of context, as he is explaining the mind set of the New Covenant, "Matthew 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." Not that we are suppose to forget the law or not follow it, but as you said in a way, if you love God and neighbor you will not sin against them. But the problem where you don't reach the full meaning, is that we as humans are born ignorant with no understanding or knowledge, so how do we know how to love God or neighbor? How do we know what is good? John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. I guess the real question is do you read the Bible? If you read the Bible, why, if nothing in the Bible relates to you any more? Jesus spent his entire life giving us commandments, parables, guidelines. But that was all for the Jews, which they were suppose to follow for 30 years then forget, but we as Christians are suppose to follow 2 commandments "love God and love your neighbor" without context or meaning to how to love them. You see these forms filled with people confused on how to be Christians that do use the Word of God, imagine the chaos if Jesus said "love" and died and we have to figure everything out ourselves. It is once again...absurd. As we have things explained by John "2 John 1:5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. 6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it." Also by Paul explaining the same in, "Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. 9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Why do we need to study, if we can just "love" and by "loving" we will be holy? Couple of reasons we need to study, as stated before, so we can know who is good and what is evil. "1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.", so we learn from John we all sin, even as Christians we will sin how can we avoid sin if we are not studying the Word of God to know what we are suppose to do? Clearly we can not just live by Love, because in the flesh we are naturally drawn to sin, "Romans 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not."
  24. So you are suggesting Christians are not suppose to follow the Ten Commandments? That we should murder people, take the Lord's name in vain, worship idols? Since we are cherry picking what laws we have to follow, it would be nice if there was a list of laws we can break now that we have the "free pass" of grace that gives us a liberty and license to willfully sin...of course I am being sarcastic, it is completely absurd to think someone can call themselves a Christian, but at the same time murder and cheat on their spouse. Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
  25. Exodus 31:13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you. Exodus 31:14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. Exodus 31:17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. We are told to keep the sabbath "for ever", as it says in verse 17. The sabbath "is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you". It is a sign of the Convent between the Father and his people, and there is a punishment for defiling it. Romans 9:4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; Romans 9:6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Romans 9:8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. Some may say that Exodus is only speaking of the Jews, but for those that have studied the Word of God, they know that "Israel" was never just a flesh bloodline or religion. Israel stands for the chosen of God, as Paul talks about the spiritual "adoption", all the chosen of God are the "children of the promise" of salvation. So the Sabbath stands for spiritual Israel now, just as it did for flesh Israel in the Old Testament. Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; Colossians 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Colossians 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: I saw one reply to the post about Colossians, but it was taken out of context. The "meat...drink...holyday...new moon...sabbath" all had ceremonies and Temple sacrifices according to the "ordinances" of the Old Testament, but there is a different in the Law of God between ordinances and Commandments. You can touch a dead body without needing to purify yourself, but you still can not murder or commit adultery. Sabbath is a Commandment given by God himself to his chosen people, they way we practice and keep the sabbath is different now but still a Commandment. As Jesus said "Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."
