  1. Well if that person knows you and wants advice but tells you he doesn't want to hear any "religious" talk, then just respond: "I have very good advice to give you but I am sorry you don't want to hear it. I will pray for you though." Dear Father, touch this person's heart and change it. Reveal yourself to that person and convince him that he needs you, that he needs to repent and give his life to you. Thank you for your grace, your mercy and your love for this person. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen!
  2. The only thing we can do is to come together and pray for the nation.

    Is OSAS true

YEP! If our works can keep us saved, it means they had the power to save us in the first place. This is not what the Bible teaches. ..and it would mean that Jesus died on the cross for nothing as His sacrifice would not be needed.

Ezekiel 33, none of the verses you mentioned have to do with losing one's salvation.

    Where is that scripture?

Never said God would leave us, what I said is that we are free to leave Him if we choose. Although I do not believe in the doctrine of eternal security, I have no fear, I am totally secure in my salvation. If you believe that God never leaves us, then you should believe in eternal security in our eternal Father.
  7. To fear means that one does not trust God. Imo, the only time we should fear for someone's death is if we know that that person is not a Child of God, meaning they do not have eternal life.

Once we are His, nobody can claim we are not His anymore. God promised He will not do it! He promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us. God's children are new creatures, born again of the Holy Spirit, calling Him Abba Father. The enemy must have a good laugh at all these discussions. He is probably very happy for those who are spreading doubts and fears in the hearts of God's children. However, the victory over Satan has already been won at the Cross and by faith in their Heavenly Father, God's children will overcome. Praise the Lord!
  9. I never base my trust of people on what they say only, but on their actions/reactions. The real "fruits" of a person always eventually come to the surface.
  10. All books by Watchman Nee are wonderful to read.
  11. So far I have enjoyed every book I have read from him.

A better way to express it is "Eternal Security." The reason being is that OSAS tends to give the impression that a salvation is permission to live in sin. Eternal Security implies the emphasis on the power of God to keep a person. It is also closer to the biblical definition of salvation. In that analogy I gave you about the test, remember that Jesus has already passed the test. He scored 100% and he offers you his "score." In other words, He offers you his righteousness. All you have to do is to accept it, and salvation is accomplished. All that is left is for you to live in obedience to His commandments out of a grateful heart in full dependence on His grace, and the power of Holy Spirit as a response to that. I completely agree with Shiloh! Indeed, once saved always saved!
  13. Dear HisGirl, do not mind what other people say about you. I would advise you to take it to God and ask Him to search your heart and ask Him to let you know if you are doing anything against His will. I did just that after so many christians told me how wrong I was to have divorced my abusive husband. They were pronouncing words of condemnation to me and some of them decided not to see me again. These people filled me with doubts about my actions and one evening as I was fighting to fall asleep because of my doubts, I uttered a prayer asking God to search my heart and to let me know if I did wrong by getting a divorce. I asked Him to clearly convict me if I made a mistake. After I finished my prayer I felt a wonderful peace come over me and that night I slept like a teen! After 4 years of being a single mom, I did not want to marry again. But then one day, I felt a desire to marry again. I prayed asking God if He was the one giving me that desire and that if I am not to get married again, that is, if it is not His will, to take away my desire and give me contentment in my singleness. So far, that desire to marry is still here. I am now praying that He lets me know who He wants me to marry and to indicate clearly to me, in His time, who that person will be when I'll meet him. I put my trust and my life in His hands only. God loves you, HisGirl. May you rest in Him and seek Him in your situation.
